Just bought a 2005 CLK myself so watching your videos has been helpful. My steering wheel is disintegrating at the top as well so I bought a wood one. Good to know the newer tail lights fit well, I'm thinking of doing the same if I can find a pair for cheap.
Glad to hear its been helpful! The wood wheels look great actually, good snag. The rear lights like I say sometimes need a small bit of metal bending from the internal structure where they sit but I got lucky and it didn't on mine, massively improves the rear end. Some on ebay at the mo for £45 each side, not bad 😄
Sorry to say the car is gone, it kept breaking down every single month and was draining me financially and mentally 😂 Didn't seem to gain much traction here either so I cut my losses
@@roderickjones7479 220 sport will be mint. The 220 engine in my wifes is bulletproof. The main issues were either bushes (heavy engine up front) but I kept getting fuel pressure issues. Changed high pressure fuel pump, regulator, all lines etc and couldn't pinpoint the issue sadly. But I think that was engine specific being the 270. You'll be fine with a 220!
I paid around £90 all in, hence why I made the drive as I saved so much money compared to buying the bits individually 😂 Those 2 series are cool, good going mate! Shame they cost that much, that's the downside to newer cars eh, much more expensive for fancy headlights and taillights etc!

That's a shame...I'm gonna treat myself to a 220 sport for Christmas...what problems did it give you?
