Thanks for the videos mate 😀 I'm hoping to come visit Bacolod/ Silay after the Virus has ended so I can come see my Girlfriend 😀 I'm from Suffolk in the UK and it's great to see another Brit in Bacolod. Your videos really help me get a feel for the place.
I was missing home so much. This video just warmed my heart. Although the city isn't fully back to its normal swing, I'm glad to see familiar places and roads. Thank you for this. I hope I can go home without any trouble for the holidays.
Thank you that’s vloger in City of Smiles 😊. I miss my hometown.but sad coz of pademic. Lots of shops and restaurants close. Always keep safe and healthy 💪.
Bro, you’re at 9.9k, I hope you hit 10k subs soon! Your videos are pretty entertaining and very educational especially for people like me, who actually live in the city you’re filming and talking about in.
How many months did it take to repair the Halandumun Tower? 8-10 months? The Empire State Bldg. in New York was finished in just about a little more than a year. Mmmmm....
bacolod looks more like a laid back city now 😆😆 and could almost like never catch up with even just marikina city when it comes to progress and my fellah's there keep on voting almost same mayors 😫
Missing our beloved bacolod always looking forward to see your video ,our plan was to go this december,to see our family ,it's sad to see that a lot off business are closed because off this situation, thank you fore the video stay safe stay healthy god bless
That's right....this plandemic is destroying the Filipino economy. I know so many Filipinos who lost their jobs in Bacolod and Escalante and the ramifications will be worse than the .06 death rate of this virus over the long haul.
I'm not impressed with that tower. It represents corruption of people in power. The amount wasted building that rubbish project and that amount is higher building a decent house.
What are you talking about? It represents the lastingness of our forever mayor Big Papa Bing. The sturdyness of concrete. Hollowness of the insides. All hail PAPA BING.
Why do you say that mall shops are "surpisingly" closed? Covid has devastated the economy here, less work, no money, no shopping, ..no shopping = shop employees laid-off, ect..a vicious unfortunate cycle.. restaurants closed because most can not now afford eating at restaurants.
Such a nice ride friend! Thank you for making this video it just allows us to figure out how much this pandemic hits Bacolod city, but O believe it will not last long after all people will go out and start the business again. On the bright side some Bacolodnons are also very disciplined and are trying trying to obey the government ordinances, this is from my own experience, since I lived in other big city before. God bless everyone. Stay safe always.
Oh no! That’s shocking ! My favourite shopping mall is in trouble . The sabor Ilonggo is close too , I go there most of the time I’m there . Hopefully in October , shops will start to reopen . Thanks
@ROBLYN Castelo JOB!! And tourism!! That’s the only way to restart here. People are out. All over they are out. I don’t know where you are but in Bacolod the place is full. Our traffic has started back again. People want to get back at it. Not be held down!
@ROBLYN Castelo dude I guess you don’t watch the news. The president just kept us in a general quarantine. It’s been that at a minimum for 8 months now!! People are getting out because they have too. They need to eat. Begging on the street, trying to have some sort of normal life.
Not too many people are out I'm sure some people still scared to eat out and probably some order for delivery. That's PI weather can change drastically from sunny to rain or rain to sunny. Stay safe Sir.
Well cannot carry on for much longer they need to let tourists back in, if they get tested before and on arrival and are willing to quarantine whats the problem? the problem is the politicians!!
they can use a swab test upon arrival and quarantine until results are in...negative result should allow you to no longer quarantine...results shouldn't take more than 3 days. A positive result keeps you in quarantine. Or do a pre arrival test from your origin and present negative results upon arrival.
So sad that this is happening to the City because of pandemic. Most of the workers come from other nearby cities and maybe it's one of the reason why most of the shops were closed. Bacolod is a well discipline bunch so seeing the bright side of this situation, in time Bacolod will get back on track and will flourish again.
Feel sad for all the people struggling during this pandemic. Very bleak situation.....😢 Thank you for posting this vid. It's providing us a good insight of BCD👍
so sad to see bacolod like this. i hope one day that they can catch up with iloilo. iloilo has really left bacolod behind in terms of developments and infrastructure. iloilo and bacolod are sister cities so the more developed both cities are, the better it would be!
My first impression for Bacolod while touring was a filthy city compared to Dumaguete. Most of the drainage are clogged and it really stinks walking around. Thanks for sharing the video though sir..
6:48 I often eat here before I fly home to Manila after visiting and paying real estate tax on my Dad's property every year. I am not really used to seeing Bacolod as a ghost city. Every visit is always a bustling and beautiful city.
Or broke, or reluctant to wind up on some contact tracing list. Imagine you go to the mall for a burger or some light bulbs, then someone who registered there the same day you did tests positive, now you get stuck in quarantine. I ain't going anywhere they make you register like that.
Some stores and restaurants in some malls in bacolod were temporarily closed due to covid. Fortunately they will return their business when everything goes back to normal.
It is true there is no more strict quarantine but on TV and radio, citizens are still advised to only leave home if necessary. The threat remains and so does vigilance.
Great job - as always! Thanks for showing us Bacolod once again. What hours are the malls maintaining? You skipped by Krispy Kreme - was it open? I saw some taxis - are public transportation allowed again?
Thank you for the tour. Perhaps stores and malls are almost empty because the economy has crashed and the people think the continuing crash is only going to get worse.
@@asianight9188 I was there visiting my fiance twice last year and could have been the third time last August but everything was postponed because of covid. But i’m still hopeful next year would be better, I’m really sad to see bacolod become a quiet city, it used to be a bustling city full of happy people.
Lockdown is over but looks like people are still self isolating. People have no money to spend or they are holding back spending they know this pandemic can go on much longer. Many businesses closing, many losing jobs and income, money is not circulating around. I'm afraid what happens next are malls will also be forced to close completely. .
Another problem may well be the contact tracing requirement. I will not go anywhere they enforce that. I will be damned if I will be quarantined just because some guy tested positive and was at SM the same day I was.
Good ol' Bacolod. Just like government's governing. So old, rubbish and filled with corruption. I did not mean to defame our city. Our city is great, its booming and people are so nice. I know that cuz I'm living in Bacolod as well. There's no issue about the business, peace and the people its just the government is so bad that they're so afraid on taking bigger and higher leaps for our city to get known and boom a lot more
Kahit wala ng lockdown there are still protocols to follow, ang epekto Ng pandemic is worse than you can imagine marami nawalan Ng trabaho maraming business establishments ang nagsara, regular people can’t afford to go shopping sa panahon ngayon. If they will force to open walang masyadong tao kaya pano sila makabenta 😩😩😩
