- This section will show you how to use the character map to create linetypes in AutoCAD. Saving out to a text file then with the Unicode symbol to depict ditch lines in a drawing. You can use any symbol in the character map just be aware that the justification of the fonts may need to be moved depending on the symbol used.
Great it's so useful. Thanks!
My arrow becomes a question mark when I explode it....
Nice 👍🏻
TY!
CHARACTERS ALWAYS seem to aim towards the axis X, no getting around?
In the case of flow direction arrows, like in this example, you should open the .lin file, delete ",u=0" ns re-save and re-load the file to prevent AutoCAD from rotating the direction of the text, arrows in this case, to a "readable" orientation. After that, you may still need to reverse the direction of you line if all the arrows are pointing the wrong direction. In most cases you would keep the default u=0 for regular text that you would like to automatically orient in a readable direction.
Dear Sam! I tried to make my costum linetype as you described but the result is different from the one i drew. When i change the polylines linetype for the one i made its much smaller and disproportionate. Do you know what can be the problem? The linetype scale is set to 1.
Same problem. It seems to the linetype scale. i think we are using metric and not got the length correct.
When I create line type arrow is not select. only two line is select.
U have to x explode the symbol first
Brother u need to change Single text line form multitext line using symbol,
