The reunion scene will forever be one of, if not, my favorite soriku moments in this series because everything from the music to the way Sora and Riku both talk to each other in that moment is just so impactful and sweet while also showing that despite everything that happened between them, they still love and care for each other. And wow, rewatching the kh2 ending scene with their little heart to heart moment just makes me insane because Riku sounds so...serene and happy just being next to Sora even though they're stuck in the realm of darkness. Amazing video Cat!

Also in Remind where Sora visits Riku’s Heart Station(that’s apparently above his own😅)!! He unlocks Riku’s heart and smiles as he dissolves(?) because Riku’s heart is comfy and warm and loving.
The very fact that Rikus heart station is located where it is…is just…drives me insane! Also in base kh3 when sora zones out and is clearly freaking out internally and Riku rushes over and is able to pull him out of it.
The renunion and beach scenes in KH2 will probably always be peak Soriku to me, even more so after reading the novels. Also "How will I face everyone?" "Like THIS!" The dialogue is just so sincere and affectionate in all of them.
Also all of the BBS scenes with baby Sora and Riku. They're so freaking adorable.

Awesome Video :) One Random Thing I Noticed Of Talking To A Star. While Talking To This One Star It Reminds Me Of Sora And Riku's Relationship And How It Can Develop In The Future. :) (Star Story) "I Kept Telling Everyone We Were Just Friends, But He Crept Into My Head. Into My Heart. It Started To Feel Weird Being Together. I Stepped Back, And He Never Stepped In To Close The Distance. I Wonder How He Saw It. Wonder How He Feels....What's This Emotion, Filling Me? It's Overpowering. It's Him. I Have To Respond. I Have To Tell Him How I Really Feel". (Reminds Me Of Both Sora And Riku's Side Of Having Feelings For Each Other) :) Soriku Forever :)

Awesome Video :) Love Soriku :) Beautiful Story Between These Two, Can't Wait Until The New Game In Quadratum. Thinking They Will Call Each Other's Names More And That Sora Will Look Back At These Memories He Has Between Riku Like The Meteor Shower (Crown Necklace He Got From Riku) And Maybe Will Regain The Truth Of Who's Light Guided Him And Riku's Sacrifice. :)
7 is a really fitting number for a Kingdom Hearts video. xD
And while I also love all of these moments, my top 3 being
1. Gayblade in KH3
2. Heart Song in DDD
3. Reunion/Heart to Heart in the RoD in KH2,
I really need to add the scene where Riku absent mindedly reaches out for the cheek of Sora's hologram in DDD and especially the one in KH3 where Sora tells Riku to "be safe" and not do "reckless stunts".
In the latter scene the translators apparently left out Sora saying "Call me if something happens". I saw a Video literally yesterday that covered some translations that "push the straight agenda" as the title so aptly calls it and reading this line made me lose it internally. The english version already portraits how worried Sora is for Riku, but the jp original line emphasizes even more how much. Like, he REALLY wants to make sure nothing bad happens to Riku. :')
Edit: ohmygod I almost forgot one of Riku's most iconic lines in DDD: "Are you what's keeping him trapped in that nightmare? Cause if your are, I'm what nightmares fear!"
I'm not a SoRiku shipper but I love this video reflecting on these moments. Can't wait to watch more of your content!

This is such a wholesome video! The scenes you picked really highlight their bond and I keep thinking about how it evolved over the course of the series so far. The dearly beloved scene with their hearts in tune and automatic gayblade in the RoD are some of my favorite scenes between them. The fanart at the end was also really cute I saw some ones that I hadn't seen yet. Thank you for another awesome video!
finally got around to watching this! almost got a lil emotional bc i love these two so much ahhh, i'm not even sure if i could choose a favorite but the ending of 3d is what made me ship them! i was like OHHHH I get it now! this is so cute and i need more of this!!! lmao. can't wait for kh4 to add more soriku moments to the list~
such a cozy and sweet video! My favorite scene will always be the reunion scene in kh2 because yeah, it was the exact moment I knew I was in this for the long haul and now 20 years later im still here Hahaha though for DDD I wouldn't even know which scene to pick for a favorite soriku moment. just all of it. its easily my favorite game in the whole series, its practically "fluff: the game".
One of my favorite moments is from kh 1 when Sora closes the door you see flashbacks and its so bittersweet and cute and to here that he's going to look for Riku is just the cherry on top.
Theres also for the Riku is the light theory (this might be a stretch but) when Sora's runs to Kairi at the end of kh1 behind Donald and Goofy when the door vanishes there's a bright light behind them where the door was.
At this point it really is gay. I mean i get both sides of the coin here.
The game really has nothing to do too much with romance as far as it goes and Sora and riku are very close friends. And I get the game is intended to be that.
But when you ruined the only female character that is good , and that is actually interesting in the game and then, finally by the third game, you force some weird relationship with Sora just seems so weird to me
And I don’t think it was intentional to make the Sora x riku a thing. But it’s kinda hard to deny the relationship point.
Im still not over the fact that they had sora literally SUMMONED TO THE REALM OF DARKNESS JUST BECAUSE RIKU CALLED OUT TO HIM like. Why. Why would someone write that and NOT mean for it to be read romantic? That is legit the most romantic thing in the world? There is LITERALLY a BUTTON that POPS UP that says "SORA". PRESS TRIANGLE TO SORA. IM??? and then time SLOWS DOWN when Sora hits the water like a fucking???romcom moment where the hot guy or girl appears and the mc just gawks at them??? IM??? Actual brainrot over this scene.
thank you for your enthusiasm, I didn't think that after the initial disappointment I felt for kh3 I would ever recover, this last year has rekindled in me the hope and desire to ship 🫂 I will believe it until the end 💪
Yes!!!! I’m honestly glad I came back into kh when I did. I didn’t finish kh3 when it originally came out, started it and then got distracted by some other hyperfixation. I’ve seen posts from when re-mind came out though, and a lot of sorikus were heartbroken. Now though..we have great video essays like the Riku is gay video and the violet howlers series! Also melody of memory has Riku going after Sora and not Kairi..which is an interesting choice if they’re supposed to be a thing. SoRiku endgame!!!!!

If you really think about it then you realize what a big deal they make about it.
Everyone spent a whole year searching for Sora and not even Kairi could find something while going through her memories during that time. And then Fairy Godmother comes in and is like "Riku my dear, your dreams about Sora are the clue to find him. Now go after him", like the Cinderella parallel he is.
