- Laila Ali is a retired professional boxer and daughter of legendary boxer Muhammad Ali. Born in Miami Beach, Florida, Laila grew up surrounded by boxing, and it was only natural that she followed in her father's footsteps. After graduating from Santa Monica College, Laila began her boxing career in 1999, quickly establishing herself as a force to be reckoned with in the ring. She won her first 24 fights, with 21 of those wins coming by way of knockout. In 2002, Laila won the WIBA, WBC, and IWBF world titles, cementing her status as one of the best boxers in the world.
Throughout her career, Laila faced many challenges, including criticism from those who believed she was only successful because of her famous last name. However, Laila never let that hold her back. She continued to train hard, fight hard, and push herself to be the best boxer she could be. In 2007, after retiring with an undefeated record of 24-0, Laila turned her attention to other endeavors, including television hosting, acting, and health and fitness advocacy. Laila's success both inside and outside of the boxing ring has made her an inspiration to people all over the world, proving that hard work, determination, and a belief in oneself can lead to incredible achievements.
