me: you wont allow what? what power do you have here? what control? shit it dosnt seem like you even have control over your own emotions let alone life... so what wont you allow?
though i would likely rub shit in hard... how stupid i am, yet i have a job, i make a living, whats the genius sister do? oh sits around and spends money she dosnt earn, crying about how unfair life is? shit son... im glad she hated and neglected me growing up... makes it far easier to just walk away and forget i ever had a family...
shit i got friends who stil think of my mother as more of a mom to them then their own mothers.. despite not spending near as much time around us as their own families..
hell my mom would let them hang out with the daycare kids she was paid to watch, feed them, and just treated them like she did me, thats not better then the daycare kids, infact we were expected to be the good examples, she said she knew their parents couldnt afford daycare and, the kids like that i befriended tended to be more helpful then distracting or troublesome... infact she got some of her best clients from those kids telling friends and friends parents about my moms daycare... in a few cases, mom would watch the young ones and the ones my age and older would just play in the woods and such without her charging the parents for the kids who..didnt need a babysitter but...did need someplace to hang out/be during those times that wasnt alone at home... (lets be honest, its not just kids who do stupid shit when alone and board... most of us just learn to not do that stuff as we grow up..some never do..)
one of my friends was shocked i stood up to his step mom and got her to slap me.. then.. slapped her back so hard she 'took a knee'.. when other adults asked what happened.. the fucking 6yo girl who was on a bench nearby, told them... she was told she wasnt welcome at the church if she was going to act that way, and it would be best fi she would leave, at least for the day... like 'whats the worst she was gonna do..hit me?, i can take a hit, and great granny taught me to hit back' an old man nearby heard me and laughed, liked how cheeky i was.. and the fact i would stand up to anybody being a douche... and didnt care if somebody was gonna hit me... if it wasnt a 'hit back' situation it was a "let them see this idiot beating on me" situation.. one little shits dad saw him beating on me, and took him to talk with his grandad who... gave him some "boxing lessons"... the funniest part was me showing up and waving and making it clear... i was fine... for all his "beating" he didnt do me any harm.. infact i played up the whole thing... one of like 5-7 times i got pulled into a "boxing lesson" or "fighting lesson" from grandparent/parent to child... each time... the other person didnt enjoy it... im no fighter but when i say "well fuck it" i will just tank hits and do cause as much pain as i possibly can in the process. im a big boy, and grew up playing with more adults then kids my own age... kids my own age couldnt keep up with my roughhouse... (mostly because, i did it so much with full on adults.. ), it was never a smart idea to f with me once i realized i wasnt a target unless i let myself be a target.

i have seen that shit, irl, a friend of mine since childhoods mom was like this.. worse actually, because she cheated on her husband, then turned out she had a kid by a 14yo she started molesting at 12... and after giving birth, before the law came for her she bolted and manged to get on a cargo ship via passenger fair thinking she could hide in austrelia with her brother down there, who..took her in for 9mo and had the cops who came out to the very remote ranch/farm for other business, take her away, they told them about her before hand and they had the warrants, aus actually helped pay to send her back due to what she was charged with.. she still only did some time in jail then years on probation in and out of jail for breaking probation... but yeah... she was a horrific person, who even tried to get all her kids to send her money, get jobs and send her money, she told the daughter i was close with who was 14 at the time, to sell herself to send her mom money... thankfully this was all recorded and used against her... her golden child went with her and got stuck in aus..after mom was gone..the family there actually managed to wake her up and get her to see how toxic and f-ed up her mom was... and why the whole family was NC with her... and why the set her up for 9mo in what she considered hell, only to endup in cuffs for days as they drove back to the closest city... where she found out she was going to be sent back to the states, but it would take months to setup... she sent so many letters, the family stopped opening them and just added them to the evidence bag for teh DA to look over... so many insults and just horrific things she said...
her daughter that went with her... well a couple years on a ranch/farm in the outback changed her alot, she became good friends with her cousins and ended up getting into uni with a full ride thanks to their help andnot wanting to endup like mom.. with zero useful skills.. she got a dual degree that allowed her to with the uncles help, start a business that drills wells and does land surveys, including sub-ground scans with sonar and radar, aus is full of caves and... the gotta check areas before building facilities, in one case they opened a cave wide enough that after they did a quick survey, the govt helped to fill it in, it was quite dangerous and unstable, and, filling it in with the slurry they did, well it made it more stable, and safe to build the facility in the area, she sent me pictures, when she came back for a visit...well shes spent over a decade mending fences with her dad and siblings.. i honestly believe she was under moms spell and couldnt see that mom was a liar... because you can see the disgust when she talks about mom and how she acted back then... she told her mom that she became who she did, because she didnt want to be like mom... causing her mother to try and attack her... in court... mom made a HUGE mistake and tried to use her as a character ref to get off probation early... they extended it to the max time the law allowed instead... she had no clue her daughter changed to be an extreme ver of how the others feel about her... the others just dislike her... moms golden child loaths her... after she realized mom had banged the kid she babysat and why he was allowed to stay up after the kids were sent to bed when his parents left him over for nights... she didnt need to see the results of the dna tests, she was 100% sure she wasnt being lied to about why mom was arrested...
oh, the lawyers flat out told her, she would have spent 7-10 in prison if she was male... she tried to claim they were being harsh because she was a woman... her female lawyer told her she was wrong, in the end her own lawyer turned over a bunch if stuff to the court and recused themselves because, she was just too crazy... and liked to make threats.. in writing and verbally... eventually she ended up in the nuthouse for a few years... after she escaped a few times she got moved to a more secure wing of the place and kept drugged up for a good while, her own mother only went to check on her to make sure she really was being kept locked up and not likely to get out any time soon... when she was let out they made her stay in the seattle area hours from here at a half way facility that kept track of their people very well...
the formerly horrible daughters married with kids now... to somebody her mother would have loathed her even looking at, but whos a great guy... i mean hes one of my buddies uncle whos closer to our age then his siblings... (mom got knocked up after she thought she was done with the 'change of life' as she always put it... "suprise, your having another one" the funny part... their father was a much better dad to the later one, and did his best to make up for how crap he was at it in his youth..), when i introduced her on her visit back to the states, when he found out the guy with her wasnt her bf but her cousin.. he asked her out...like right then they took off to a movie and dinner... the cousin.. hung with us.. and got why his cousin told him that he would like her sisters friends... he told us she wanted to try and fix some of her past behavior.. including how she was to us... turnedout she didnt hate us but hated that she couldnt hang out with us because mom wouldnt have approved... took her a while to realize that... but... it tracks with how she acted... we tried to invite her to see if it would help but..she wasnt wrong mom wouldnt have liked it.. but like we told her the next night when we all hung out... we would have covered for her... she only needed to have asked... she didnt realize it but.. we played interferance for several of the friend group with their parent/parents who were a bit psychotic or full on toxic sludge in human form...

Back (way back) in the day, I worked at the headquarters of a big bank. Most of the jobs there weren't anything special.
I also worked in their Wall Street location. Some people were making big buck there buying and selling on the stock market, but it's a high pressure job and people do burn out.
If she had access to cash at the bank, then that means she was probably a Teller. That is NOT a glamorous job. And what she did was theft.

    • @aec9174
      @aec9174 Рік тому +11

Never thought of that, but you're probably right. I worked as an administrator in the trust department at a big bank for almost 33 years. In all that time, I never had a need for cash, because all of our transactions were either processed via check or electronic transfer. The tellers down on the main banking floor were the only ones with daily access to actual cash.

I legit facepalmed when their mother said that Anna not only stole from her employer, but then punched her boss in the face. Not only will she be blacklisted, criminal charges could likely be filed against her. Thus, no company would ever want to hire her.
But this is entirely on the parents, in spoiling her rotten. They could easily stop buying her new clothes (not like she will need new ones, after all, if she's now a shut-in) if they really need to make ends meet. Or, they could go with the nuclear option and kick her out of the house. Or both.
In fact, I could see it as in the wake of the father's stroke, the mother tells Anna that, in order to make ends meet, she will no longer buy Anna any more clothes; that if Anna wants more, she will have to get a job. She would also be expected to contribute to the family's expenses.
Anna, obviously, is so spoiled by that point, that she steals all of the money from her parents' bank account to go on a shopping spree. Upon discovering this, the mother kicks Anna out of the house for good and sells off all of her belongings to recoup what Anna stole from her.
So the family ends up broken apart, a result of their own arrogance, selfishness, and entitlement. Meanwhile, their other daughter, Emily, finds success in her career, meets a nice person, gets married to them and settles down with them, living a happy life, free from her toxic ex-family.

We have a sister who cater to her parents every demand and whim to manipulate them into letting them get her way.
And we have the daughter who is completely rejected by her family for being her own independent person and reduced to the level of resource to exploit, only for that family to fall into the pit when the child they've been exploiting to the point of being dependent cuts them off and frees herself.

I learned around 5 years old that that's not the case) She probably punched her boss because he explained how being employed there actually works.("You can't just take money out of the safe every time you want to buy a new necklace" stuff)

So you don’t tell your daughter, who is sending you money, that her father had a stroke because she would be an “inconvenience”, yet now that you realize your quality of life is about to get lower than an ant, it’s time to tell her in an effort to get more money. Meaning she is, contrary to your earlier statement, convenient.
I need you to show me the work on how this contradiction came to be. Because somewhere you’ve got 2+2 equaling “exploit”, and I need to know how.

As a past bank employee, I can guarantee that Anna didn't just get fired. She would have been detained by bank security, and the FEDS would have arrested, interrogated, and put her up on charges of extortion and possible racketeering charges. Then, she would have been imprisoned, depending on the verdict. She never would have 'gone home' after that.

This is such a hard story to rate or pass judgement on. The violence the father is showing toward the mother is caused by the dementia. It turns the individual suffering from it into a completely different person. I know this for a fact because I went through it with MY father. Granted, the mother should have told the older daughter about the father's stroke and I get OP being upset with the way she had been treated for so many years but if it were me I would have found it difficult to cut them completely off financially after dad's stroke. I would probably feel different about it if the dad was healthy but that wasn't the case here. I can only hope that this story is fictional. I'd hate to think that these events actually happened.
