That last one with the red is beautiful! But the one you found a little bit before it had what looked like an eye in the center of that bug...that agate is one of the nicest I've seen you find... incredibly awesome. My brothers are going out tomorrow...it will be my first sideways video...stay tooned...I'm excited! In the meantime...keep finding those Yellowstone treasures and I will keep coming along.
Every find was amazing eye candy! So nice of Mary to share her treasure land with you. I hope we’ll be seeing some cutting videos from you and Theo😊. Thanks so much for taking us along on your adventures. I’m so envious of the beautiful agates and jasper found in your state.
Wow! The agate at 11:53, I mean Geeze... that is amazing, truly. The crazy thing is that I see a clam in it. Does anyone else? What an amazing opportunity to go on untrampled private land that is rich in Many Beautiful Rocks 😊 Man, the agates you picked up are stunning... loved your video ❤
Mary you’re amazing for sharing your wealth of beautiful rocks! I’m so jelly of your rockhounding day! So many squeals of excitement and gorgeous, chunky rocks! Absolutely love it! Let’s do it again real soon!
Wow! Y'all found some really beautiful rocks. Many thanks to Mary for letting you and Theo hunt on her property! Too many beauties to pick a favorite, I'd have to see them all laid out together. I'm partial to pet wood but there were many outstanding agates too.
Oh man wow wow wow!!! I watched Theo’s video on this yesterday and I must say you two have a wonderful friend in Mary!!! What a lovely haul you have. 🪨👍👍 Keep on doing 👍👍!!!
Wow Kate! You just did fantastic out there! To quote this youtube creator i like "So many beautiful rocks!" You found some exceptional beauties! And the pet wood was all, just phenomenal! And you found several ti rival Theo's in the gorgeous department! The colors you found were relly unique. And brown dendrites are so rare out there, but you found one! Thats awesome! That was an amazing hunt and Thank you Mary! For letting you hunt some untouched gravel and it was just ao fantastic! I swear i had as much fun as you did, just watching you! Thanks Kate, for taking us along! What a day!
I think my son Cash actually found a Montana agate that made it's way all the way to Chain of Rocks in Illinois just north of St. Louis! It's tiny compared to your finds but it sure looks like Montana agate to me... Definitely one of my rockhounding goals to get out on the Yellowstone sometime! You guys have some of the best gravel bar rockhounding in North America I think.
Uh, you're welcome? Although technically the river beaches up to the normal high water mark are public land, so if you had a boat, you could probably get there.
I would love to see the odd rock at 4:11 cut, because it is so different. Great hunt. I don’t see how Mary could resist going every day. Maybe she does! Thanks.
Beautiful 🤩 finds. I so enjoy your adventures. Theo’s adventures also. Wishing I could find these beautiful rocks in my area. I have found a few. Geologically speaking agates aren’t abundant in the area where I live. I can travel to find agates. But they are mostly in desert. That makes it harder for me to find/identify them. Anyways thank you for sharing your beautiful finds.
Now that's my kind of ranch! Who needs cows and horses and chickens, etc? It would very difficult to pick a favorite, or three, out of all those finds. Not at all hard to understand why you were so happy and excited!
@14:05 -- Purely coincidence, but I'm currently having some level of success with muriatic acid on that opalization layer. After a couple hours, it does seem to be noticeably milder. I'll see how it does with an extended soak.
Update - soaked in muriatic for probably a day and a half - definitely improved the coating, but didn't kill it. No clue if it's any more efficient than tumbling or not, but it helped a little, for whatever that's worth.
Oh Katy the plumey one, the wood...please tell Mary I am available for adoption...tender age of 48 buahaha. Back to oooo the woods!!! so happy (read jealous) for you!!!
Gorgeous agates. Thank you Mary for letting them frolick amongst the agates LOL
:) Thank you Mary, for sure!
I had a smile on my face through out this video.. WOW you found some beauties, can't wait to see those cut 😍👍
Thanks, Marie - I had a smile on my face throughout too!
This is overwhelming. Thanks for taking us along although I am jealous. LOL
Ha, Greig, you need to make the trip out this direction - we'll get you set up with some chunkers. :)
@@KatyDidRocks Sounds like a plan for next summer. ;-)

Yes, it really was. :)
Your bag must have been so heavy with these amazing finds. That big one at the end looks like it has an eye in the middle. 😮

Stunning eye candy. Thank you everyone!!

Yep, I think it's a good one!

That's cool, Dustin! I agree, the Yellowstone river has the best gravel. :)
Thank you Mary!
:)
You found some beauties. Congratulations
Thank you!
Thanks for taking us to a place we can never go. No help.
Uh, you're welcome? Although technically the river beaches up to the normal high water mark are public land, so if you had a boat, you could probably get there.
You are the petrified wood queen!
LOL!
I saw Theo video yesterday !! You are very lucky, so many agates !
It was a great day.
What a beautiful agate!
Thanks!
WOW! You could look for days there.
Yes. Days and days. :)
that last one is so cool it has an eye 13:42
Yep! All it needs is lashes. :)
Holy 🐄!!!! The eye on that one!!!!
Right?!
That's a good one Theo!
It was stunning!
Awesome hunt in a special place ❤❤
Thanks - and it was!
Haha it's fun to see theos show then yours. Too fun!

Beautiful finds!! I hope to find the same soon
Good luck to you!

It was a good one!
I would love to see the odd rock at 4:11 cut, because it is so different. Great hunt. I don’t see how Mary could resist going every day. Maybe she does! Thanks.
She and her husband are building a house on the property, so she has quite a lot of work to do. :)
I was up in Yellowstone last week and went up the river outside the park to look for agates. I was so excited to find some at a boat launch area.
That is awesome!

I don't know what that was Kate but it was very cool!
Yep!
The one at 6:40 looks like it's going to have a lot of blue in it!
They often look bluer before you cut them - something about the light refraction.
Some of your agates had a slight blue tinge noticeable on the outside. Great.
Yep! Some of them actually have "sunburn" - opalization on the rind because of exposure to UV rays. Thanks for watching!
That agate you were showing at 12:13 looks like it has a sharks tooth in one of the pockets. Whatever was stuck in it looked serrated
It does, doesn't it? I think those are just quartz crystals that still have their points - but a shark tooth would be cooler!
Really awesome agate find. I love adventuring along with you on your videos.
So this was in/near Forsyth MO?
No, sorry, Forsyth Montana!
Now that's my kind of ranch! Who needs cows and horses and chickens, etc? It would very difficult to pick a favorite, or three, out of all those finds. Not at all hard to understand why you were so happy and excited!
Thanks, Grant. It was a great day.

Thank you, Charley!
That chirt rock looked like a turkey tail mushroom.
Cool!
how do you tell the difference between jasper and plume agate? does it feel the same as an agate?
It does! They are all made of microcrystalline silica. The difference, I guess, is in the plumes, which look sorta like feathers.
I am going on vacation I am flying to Tasmania
Have fun!
Hi katy
Hi, Charles!
I like stone
Thanks!
Oh Katy the plumey one, the wood...please tell Mary I am available for adoption...tender age of 48 buahaha. Back to oooo the woods!!! so happy (read jealous) for you!!!
Haha, I think she has lots of offers for adoption. :D
Forsyth Georgia ?
Hi - no, sorry, Forsyth Montana!
Premieres on 2nd 0sctober .
Interesting!
Looks like you got a better haul than Theo. So jealous of both of you. I didn’t find a single thing.
Oh, Dana, you just didn't go east enough!
@@KatyDidRocks Next time!
October is spelling wrong is that a Halloween omen
It might be!
13:28 made me audibly chatter (yes, like a cat, and yes, I’m weird) 👁️ 👄 👁️
That is so cool. :D
Also, I didn't chatter, but I definitely squealed!
