I love love your videos. I’m a fairly new knitter…knitting my first garment as we speak. I wish I could figure out how to successfully knit a sock! Without laddering. Magic loop didn’t work for me . At least not yet . I’m knitting one on 9inch circulars and trying to do a heel which stumped me. Well, maybe someday I’ll crack it!
Thank you so much!! My best tip for laddering is to make sure you’re pulling the **second** stitch on your needle tighter! Most people pull the first stitch tight, which can actually make the laddering worse. But at least for me, tightening that second stitch does the trick :) So wonderful to have so many new knitters in the community 🥰 I wish you luck on your first garment, and the 9” socks!! Oh, and if you’re doing the socks cuff down, Crazy Sock Lady has some excellent tutorials!! For a variety of needle types, too :)
Yay!! Summer sock camp 🏕 looking forward to seeing the new colorways! The oopsies you made are just 🤌🏼 so lovely, spacing out the shorty stripes Is a great idea. Love the white nipple, definitely wear that side out 😂 And have you thought about doing some sweater surgery on your colorwork phd? Maybe you could cut out some of the grey and Kitchener the two colorwork sections closer together? Idk, might be worth a shot! Oh, and I totally get what you mean with the weekly Vodcast, I feel like if I don’t have a specified time for recording during the week it feels like a looming task. So maybe try to find a reoccurring time that you have every week and just sit down and record then ☺️ Happy knitting/spinning!🥂🧶
Thanks Ken!! I’ve been seriously thinking about the sweater surgery, I’m just concerned that doing so many decrease rows right at the start of the arm hole to make the stitch counts line up would look strange lol. Probably worth a shot though if the length starts to bother me! You’re absolutely right, I really should just carve out some dedicated time to filming and editing every week. I think once it becomes a routine it will feel much less daunting! Can’t wait to see your happy new orange socks for camp!!✨🧶🧦
Everything is just beautiful! I love the oops yarn. I think those will make a lovely T-shirt. I always enjoy your videos, weather it is weekly or in a few weeks. Are you in a she shed while recording your videos?
Thank you so much!! I always appreciate seeing your comments ❤️❤️ Also, that’s so funny, I just had to look up what a “she shed” was 🤣 It’s definitely the ‘alone time’ space on our property!
