A big note that helped me do this a lot more consistently, your breathing matters a lot when doing this!!
I find it helps greatly to breathe from the belly to find the right amount to have enough pressure to flap the tongue! (Not sure if this applies to everyone however)

As-salāmu ʿalaykum yā Ustadh. I wanted to ask whether the degree of Takrār or trilling is different depending on what diacritic is present on the ر?
From what I could gather by listening to your recitation of the verses, it seemed to me that:
    1. If ر has fatḥah, ḍammah, kasrah or tanwīn, and we pronounce them by continuing and not stopping on the ر, then there's almost no trilling.
    2. If ر has a sukūn or we do Waqf on ر, then there's a medium amount of trilling.
    3. If ر has a shaddah, then there's maximum amount of trilling.
Is my assessment correct? Are we supposed to do it like this, or are we supposed to have an equal amount of trilling in all 3 cases?
JazākAllāhu khayrā for all of your excellent quality videos, the best on UA-cam by the Will of Allāh Almighty, may Allāh Almighty bless and give barakah to you and your channel, and looking forward to your most valuable guidance.

      Wa alikom asslam brother/ sister,
I am pretty impressed by your analysis, ma shaa Allah.
Yes, I agree with what you said.
with #3 > shaddah means doubling the letter, so it makes sense that there's double the amount of trilling.
with #2 > Yes, a sound with sukun is a pure consonant sound, so you should give it the medium trilling.
      With #1 > agreed too.
Indeed, we certainly aren't supposed to give the same trilling for all variations. Each position adds or removes some of the characteristics of the sound to a degree.
Ma shaa Allah, brother/ sister .. You are doing a great job .. please keep it up, may Allah reward you for your efforts.

    May Allah bless you.
I'm Osama Mostafa, A native speaker of Arabic. Here you made a mistake. you said that when stopping on the R letter whatever its case, we pronounce it with empty mouth or light. And this is completely wrong.. You by yourself said that if the Raa has a Sukoon and preceeded by a Fatha or Dammah, we pronounce it with full mouth.
So waht's the matter if the Raa has an original Sukoon or has a Sukoon due to stopping on it? Please think of it, and correct it!
Below is a video for Dr. Ayman Rushdy, a scholar of Tajweed, saying what I'm saying:
