He was in the right sport at the the wrong time in the wrong company, Akira Maeda should have been an MMA fighter, he'd have been a great pride fighter.
And he had a bad attitude and you compound this with the fact Inoki has an ego the size of japan and you got two alpha males trying to become stars, Maeda at one point should have probably been what replaced inoki had he left earlier and we could have probably seen the company not descend into the dark ages like they did in after the big riot due to the vader vs inoki match but that's all an excercise in alternate scenario, what happened was the UWF split, they went under and inoki purchased them just to bury them because he knew UWF could be a lot more popular with how serious japan took the sport and later UWFI was made from the ashes but it wasn't the same and by then the damage and the time had run out. Stuff like pancreas was coming down the pipe and so was UFC.
There's something about this video that makes Maeda look like the single most dangerous man on the planet.
Man Maeda has immense Charisma, even though he has terrible attitude I keep finding myself watching his matches. Great work!

UWF-I was the Vaporwave of wrestling promotion's,.Misunderstood and way ahead of it's time ,.RIP Karl Gotch.Great Video!
Dude! These are so great! Been waiting for a Maeda video ever since your UWF(I) video.
Akira Maeda, far too ahead of his time to realize he was innovating the sport of MMA.
This man would’ve fit perfectly in the inokiism era
If only Inoki and Maeda actually got along with each other 🤔
@@MovieguruThe who did he actually get along with that wasn't from his bubble? (Talking outside of UWF or RINGS)
Bro keep it up
Top work purowave

Amazing!! Please do nWo Japan or nWo Sting.
You should've kept that version of Camel it feels more 80's, It seems different version as well, what version is it?
I like the video though
I think it's a mash-up of Captured and Just a Hero by Ichiro Nitta, it was used in Rings fighting network
