I'd really like to dive into 80s-90s Japanese Women's wrestling. Is there any streaming service, database, or sites you'd rec to start at the beginning of the different companies? Are there any modern companies that do stiffer styles like this?
There really isn't a streaming service that has any of this stuff on there cause all these promotions are dead. Cagematch(dot)net is the best place to find lists of matches. And dailymotion and youtube will be your best bets for watching matches. I'd recommend Hokuto vs. Kandori from 93 or Manami Toyota and Toshiyo Yamada vs LCO to start, they're both on here
No not even close IMO. STARDOM is good and they do Wrestle the stiffest by todays standards. However, I believe they are not as stiff as they once were years ago from what I can tell ( I am not sure though as I started following them in the spring of 2017.) Anyway the 90's wrestling will never be matched.
