- Popular film director and stuntman Chad Stahelski joined New York Film Academy's Los Angeles campus to discuss his extensive work as a stuntman in Hollywood and his journey to directing major motion pictures. Hollywood Producer, NYFA Director of Industry Lecture Series, Tova Laiter, and Screenwriting Faculty member Eric Connor hosted the Q&A.

Thank you v much for this. Chad speaks with the practical, elegant and direct clarity of a master of his craft - I honestly want to grab him, sit him down (in the most comfortable chair) and let him talk about every single little detail on and offscreen in all John Wick films.
Chad is such an intuitive creator. We need more directors like him! I want to write and direct the same style of stuff. Action IS storytelling!
I watched this after JW3 just came out on the opening weekend with stunning reviews and phenomenon box office success. Man oh man, Chad gets my utmost respect.

With the John Wick movies Chad has become one of my favorite directors of all time. And of course I was and still am a fan of the Matrix movies he helped work on as Keanu's stuntman as well ;)

He said his wife is currently working on Avengers 3, when was this recorded?
I'm going to go out a limb and say that this interview was recorded at the same time Avengers 3 was being filmed. Google says that's sometime in the first half of 2017.
More interesting is the fact that his wife is Heidi Moneymaker, generally considered to be the GOAT stuntwoman. She's been Scarlett Johansson's stunt double since Iron Man 2.
Yes that's Heidi Moneymaker, ScarJo's stuntwoman but unfortunately, they are already divorced.
And my point is: I work 15 hours a day but earn a lot of money, even if it's not with the team I like or doing the thing I like, I'm willing.
