- This is a capture of me finding all 80 i Point locations in the Air Sports Island Flyover mode of Wii Sports Resort for the Wii. This was recorded directly from my Wii (not the Wii U).
It's finally time for me to start uploading one of my favorite Wii games: Wii Sports Resort. I was a huge fan of the original Wii Sports and the Wii's innovative motion controls, so when Nintendo later announced the Motion Plus add-on and a Wii Sports sequel in 2008, I got really excited. I actually managed to play Wii Sports Resort at E3 2009 shortly before the game was released, although I think I may have only played the Wakeboarding mode.
I later purchased Wii Sports Resort on its release date in 2009 and invited my friends Peter and Luke to join me in trying the game. We probably tried every single mode in the game and had an absolute blast. Some of the multiplayer modes were surprisingly fun such as cycling and canoeing. But our biggest staples were probably golf, Frisbee and bowling.
Wii Sports Resort had absolutely amazing content and excellent controls. In fact, the controls were so good that I found it hard to go back to the original Wii Sports after using Motion Plus. This made me excited to play additional Motion Plus games, so I eventually picked up other titles such as Red Steel 2, Grand Slam Tennis and Wii Play Motion, not to mention The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword.
Wii Sports Resort is endlessly replayable and as a result, it's one of my favorite Wii titles. My only complaint is that Nintendo didn't include an upgraded version of Tennis from the original Wii Sports, but Table Tennis was still a nice addition.
In this video I found all 80 i Point locations in the Air Sports Island Flyover mode. Since I had already found these i Points on my own profile, I used a friend's Mii to start over and make it easier to keep track of each location.
Recorded with the Hauppauge HD PVR and the Wii's component cables at 60 frames per second.

Cloudii Yeah, I've played Go Vacation, but it isn't the same when it's not Wuhu Island and, also, the vehicle motion controls are bad and the game has a general lack of polish that Wii Sports Resort doesn't have.
I've dreamt of living on this Island so many times as a kid and would be disappointed when waking up and still do sometimes. Exploring the Island while playing all those sports was just way too fun

The feeling knowing I can’t go here or live here still upsets me to my core. I would want to live a modest life spending the rest of my days giving tours of the ruins and the rest of the island and never leave. Thinking about the life I could have on this perfect island makes me want to cry and then the feeling worsens when I remember it’s a fucking wii game and I’m an emotional wreck

When you use flares Miguel will also use a flare to respond to you that is how you catch him (press 1 to use flare)

When I played this game, I'd spend so long doing the air sports activity just so I could fly over the whole island and take in every detail of it. I didn't want to do any real sports, I just wanted to see the sights and relax. And every time the time ran out, I'd start all over again. I could never get enough.

When I encountered the Extreme Canoeist, it popped up out of nowhere and scared the life out of me
Damn, it was 2010... I was just chilling on a weekend flying the plane around the island for hours at midnight. I didnt have a care in the world, I felt like nothing else in the world even mattered, It felt like I was actually flying! I miss those days of being a naive child with big hopes and dreams...

I remember always seeing the Whale tail flop up out of the water, and always trying to fly towards it as fast as possible, and I actually got pretty close at one point
Interesting fact: it is actually faster to fly to Wedge Island with the engine cut than at normal speed

Oh my gosh thank you so much for making this video! I was at 78 for the longest time! I was stressing a little about it lol, but thank you! This helped so much. I was missing the "Sweet Beach" and "Needlepoint Spire". Yes, I know it's 2021, but hey, people can still play something that no one rarely talks about anymore.

I remember nearly every single day of my life I would get on this game with my family, something that just warms my heart is my father used to get our computer out and search the locations of all the spots. I remember me hating going near the whale watchers since I don’t know. I remember that everything that I love and want to go back to from wuhu island is from this one mini game, if I ever got to play five minutes of this my life would be complete, I would not care if I died the second the five minutes was up I would just have the best and most life fulfilling expierience I would ever have in my entire life. Thank you so much for making this video and letting me rewatch everything that I would do nearly every since day of my life.

The island wouldn't be that big irl but it would still be awesome. Knowing your way through the island, exploring volcanoes, participating in sports. Plus I remember in the competive mode me and my sis would always manage to go to the black of the island by Cabana Lagoon and settle it there

In “Island Flyover”, as you gain more information points, you gain perks like being able to fly at night, have an airship with your mii’s face on it flying about or a house on one of the smaller islands with a flag sticking out if it with your face on it.
