@xo Pink...... You mean like when they just hopped of the bar to end a routine instead of doing a triple somersault?........ You're talking out of your ass you imbecile.
Consrignrant bruh what do you even mean.... a handful of moves done back in the day are banned now for being too dangerous. And the code limits the younger generation of girls by a lot. But go off I guess 🤪🤪
almost none of these elements were banned (I would even say none, but I'm not sure), we just don't see them being performed that much anymore. it's really a shame and I hope someday in the near future we'll see them again :)
The counter-kim, also called the Marinich in mens gymnastics. It's one of the two most difficult release moves. Kim Gwang Suk did it for years, starting at the age of 9 (North Korea falsified her age for her whole career). Nadia Hategan of Romania also did it, and a school girl who is shown in this video does it from a toe-on position. Her name is unknown. That's it, nobody else.
If you ask me I think the uneven bars and the things these young girls do are the most amazing things in this world the talent that it must take to do those things blows my mind they are like super human beings or something but like Heroes superheroes I mean some of these things but they do is the most amazing thing I've ever seen in my life out of any sport
And Gina Gogean trained it and performed it in exhibition [I remember being SHOCKED when I saw it!!] but never performed it in competition. I totally forgot about Nadia Hategan doing it!
Err, no. The only skills that are banned on bars involve standing on the high bar. Which is very, very dangerous. I believe it's actually banned moreso because it completely interrupts the flow of a routine, old routines used to very much start-stop. Now they're not because the bars are further apart. NOTHING else is banned.
Nothing in this video is banned. There ARE some banned moves on bars, none of which are included. Most of it is is incredibly difficult and some of these skills have only been mastered by one gymnast, or two but that's it. That's why they're featured here.
No, they are just insanely difficult and really really risky so that's why they are so rare. Olessia Dudnik of USSR is famous for doing that mount. Nowadays almost all gymnasts prefer to take as few risks as possible getting onto bars/beam. I admit it's boring by comparison, but can't fault them for not wanting to fall off right off the top.
Catherine B, I agree with you about the extreme difficulty of the release you're referring to but you've left out a handful of ladies that have performed it on uneven bars...
She did it at 92 euros actually, but she lost momentum after it, easy to see why it was sadly scrapped. Her difficulty was pruned back in general, starting in 92.
Her optionals dismount? It's not hard enough to be included, everything in the video is really difficult. Her release is the first thing in the video though.
@kpenda The original uploader likely has no problem with the video being here but the problem is the music and saltocafe is a youtube partner channel that cant have copyright music
These skills are not run of the mill or even 'one per country'. A lot are so difficult that they've only be performed by one or two gymnasts...ever. The code makes some of these tough to do now because it's harder to swing out of them without incurring a deduction. You'd be a long time waiting for someone to do a counter-kim or mo salto!
I feel like gymnastics was more bad ass back in the days

@@Consrignrant triple somersault isnt even impressive when you see everybody do it
@@RS-2199 most of those skills aren't banned they're just very rare
@@oofitzgiddy Yea i wasn't referring to this clip in particular, just that person's comment.
The korbut flip is missing. That is an amazing skill
Unfortunately the korbut flip is now banned.
For some odd reason, the music makes it even more awesome!
im gonna go eat ice cream now
The Mo salto is just INSANE. I wish you had included the Korbut and the Mukhina flips, which are AMAZING too.
almost none of these elements were banned (I would even say none, but I'm not sure), we just don't see them being performed that much anymore. it's really a shame and I hope someday in the near future we'll see them again :)
some of those dismounts are freaking insane.... i love it :)
These gymnasts are so good!!!!
i love the tumbling to the bar soooo beast!
Cool skills. Hard too. Especially that horizontal twist to the other bar. Some cool mounts and tough dismounts too. Interesting vid.
My God the music was perfect with this compilation!
Yes. Lots are G's. Some of them should be H's in the new code- especially the counter-kim and mo salto.
this is unreal!!!! it's greate!!!!
the most amazing thing to me is always the fact that alot of these girls are as young as 16. there is no substitute for talent
those triple flyaways at the end were awesome
wow these girls are fantastic!!
Those were some pretty insane moves. Very nice work!
Those bars look a little terrifying... but this so amazing! I am a gymnast too and wish I could do half of that stuff!
I refuse to believe these are actuall humans and not supernatural beings.
OMG now the only thing I want to learn is to do 2:16.

Other gymnasts did it. Look up Gina Gogean from 1992 Europeans.
The round off Arabian is sick!

Who and what was the last move????
This is cool to watch. Girls these days are so boring
I take it all these elements are graded e or higher, right?
@kpenda The original uploader likely has no problem with the video being here but the problem is the music and saltocafe is a youtube partner channel that cant have copyright music
song??
The fact that some moves only have like 1 person n thats it lol
Someone please dissect what's happening at 3:26 please! 😱😁
These skills are not run of the mill or even 'one per country'. A lot are so difficult that they've only be performed by one or two gymnasts...ever. Can you put the names of the skills somewhere?
The triple back>>>>
I don't get why you only showed nastia once! She was one of the BEST uneven bar workers in the world!!

What’s the move at 0:44 called?
Three people are dyslexic and accidentally hit the "Dislike" button.

The skill at 2:17 is way harder! You are looking at the Li Ya combo, there's another release out of that. Performed by Li Ya and He Kexin.
Who is the last girl?
why didn't you put he kexin's whole release move instead of half of it???!!!!!!????
Chellsie Memmel
