Great video, I’ve been wearing Timberland Pro Series for almost 5 years and the only complaint I have is once the really break in, the toe tends to “flop around” and after walking a lot when it does that it actually hurts your foot. I found a solution that takes care of a majority of it and that’s replace with the exact insole it comes with. Thanks again for the great review

Thanks for the comment!!! I haven’t experienced the toe flop yet but I have very wide feet so that may account for the no flop cheers bud!!!

I know I’m late to the party but I actually just got a pair of these and so far I really like them. Nice and light which is really nice running heavy equipment I don’t feel like I have anchors on my feet!! Thanks for the reviews it actually made me look at these. Last boots were the timberland pro Hyperions which are also a nice boot.

I’ve been in commercial HVAC for 20 years and the 8” Irish Setter Crosby lace up is the best work boot for the money I’ve ever owned.

Get some timberland pro boondocks. I’m a builder , framing custom homes on cape cod. Harsh winters and always wet weather. Best boots I’ve ever owned . Most comfortable and most durable. 10x better then my redwings.

I usually wear wolverines but i was intrigued by the bold design of these boots. So I came back to this video since I watched this over and over again before I purchased the boot...my first ever tims pro. Now that i did, here are my initial thoughts:
They are aggressively beautiful. I really like everything about the look of the boots. 10/10.
    2. Its also very functional, i like the heel clip at the back, the ultra "luggy" outsoles and the simple design touch of the top 4 eyelets/ lacelets. Very cleaver. 10/10.
So are there any dislikes? Yes!
I seen it in the videos and now having it in hand im disappointed. Its the outsole, the lugs are not solid, they are hollowed out to just a thin layer of coverage. Now i know its largely a weight saving feature but i rather have slightly more weight than last durability.
Secondly, the fit ( this is my fault) i should have gotten the wide. While the medium fits, the wide would've been more accommodating at the toes, but in terms of length, by true to size was great.
There's more i can say but im not getting paid to review, critique or endorse timberland boots.😂

I used to wear the Boondock version and the outsoles wear out too quick for me. I walk on big rocks everyday, they don’t last. I switched to Danner Rain Forest and they are much better. Better on my feet, lighter, and tougher. The leather isn’t as tough, but the boot itself is just better for me.

You should pick up a pair of the timberland pro boondock hd boots. Improved sole compound and they come with the step propel insoles that these boots do

One of the reason the sole is worn-out at the back end is because you have flat feet, your not dragging, you are stepping according to the shape of your feet... 🦶

I’ve been looking at boots and these seem a well made boot but here in the UK 🇬🇧 my job is a drive a dust cart but sometimes I do have to pull push the wheelie bins and we do walk between 13-18 miles per day which is a lot of walking without the manhandling of the bins and if these souls of the boot are wearing as quickly as this then for the price I’d be buying new boots every month. The steel toe cap boots our council supplies aren’t suitable for the work we do because they are heavy steel toe capped.

    Hi!
I watched your video maybe 3 times. I am about buying one off these or boondock 6". What I am curious about is water resistence. I work on CNC machine, stone industry, so.... water is all around for 9 hours a day. In my country I cannot try them, and easily return, have to order them.... So I really don't want to spent that much money ad still have wet feet.
Are the really that good like you said?
After some time now, are they still that strong water resistant?

If I'd seen this earlier, I'd recommend you get these over the boondocks. I had a pair of the boondocks and they tend to come loose where the orange membrane is.

@@kevinhull7059 at first I was confused about the fit and got a 12. Then after getting home before wearing them I realized I needed 11 1/2. I went and got those and I tried to wear them for like 3-4 days, and felt miserable. Since I wore them I'm out $155. Long story short they look cool, but suck.

    • @kevinhull7059
      @kevinhull7059  2 роки тому

@@lexxzus thorogood is an expensive brand and that’s the only reason I have never had the pleasure of trying a pair. They are not as readily available to me either. I’m sure they are great but with all the options out there with welts and ability to be resoled unless your just loyal to the brand I’m sure there are better options that are more economical.
