The Legend of Bum-bo is a puzzle based "deckbuilding roguelike" by Edmund McMillen (The Binding of isaac, Super Meat Boy) and James Interactive, where players collect hordes of items that can be modified, upgraded and comboed with others in many interesting ways. Play as one of many Bum-bo, each with its own unique abilities, as they smash, bash and splash their way through a variety of cardboard monstrosities, giant bosses and dark personal urges... - Розваги
Alright, here's some more things the tutorial should probably explain or at least make note of:
1. *Active items* (specifically how they need to charge from clearing rooms).
2. It should mention *trinkets* to some degree. Like maybe how they're buffs, or spells, or single use, or whatever (basically that they're different from other items).
3. *The casino* should be noted as being a place to *upgrade/heal.*
4. It should be noted that the player is *rewarded* coins *based on performance/luck.*
5. It should probably hint at *the existence of other special tiles* beyond just hearts (although, they don't need to necessarily be explained outright).
And speaking of hearts, I noticed at 5:38 that matching hearts showed an animation of little scraps going into your mana (even though they aren't mana). It would make more sense if they moved towards your health instead. I feel like curse tiles might have a similar problem, too.
Random other thing: I also feel like some slight trash talk or something would be funny for messing up. Or at least some acknowledgement; having the board just instantly reset is a little jarring.
I think it should stay short and explain the basics and not spoil everything.

From watching you play I already understood the mechanics, but this seems like it concisely explains a lot of the things I was confused about initially, so I think it looks pretty good!

Small nitpick~
I didn't instantly realize the circled number by the attack icon was the damage and was initially confused when no damage number showed up after the attack landed since I'm used to turn based games doing that xD
maybe if the number was in front of a little heart rather than a circle?
I feel like the only thing that could be added to the tutorial is some like condecending lines from the keeper when you fail at something.

Well, the tutorial is almost unnecessary in a game like this, so lets put unnecessary lines of text when you fail, ignoring that is almost impossible to fail in a guided tutorial, and put extra work in something that people will play once and never again. Great point.
@@Candyplastic People enjoy exploring things. They will try to fail on purpose just to see what happens. A lot of things aren't "needed" but they are nice to have. It's a game, it's meant to be fun, and you sir don't sound like you enjoy fun.
@@TheElectrikCow Because I don't care about tutorials, I don't enjoy fun. The fun of enjoying fun is FUN FUN FUN.
@@Candyplastic Many games put unnecesary dialogue or events in situations like that, its unnecesary but gives a little more personality to the product.
Now of course if doing that hinders the developing of actual content then don't do it, that's why its just an idea.

You may want to get rid of the cardboard texture lines on the Dialogue box to make it more easily readable, or just lower the contrast of them.

I like that not everything is explained in the tutorial because I enjoy the secrets and finding stuff out myself but I’m not sure I’m at all in the majority on that haha. However, maybe make the tutorial keeper say something about yellow mana and the way bones are different to teeth when thrown? Other than that seems good, all the other aspects are better discovered organically in gameplay anyways.

The tutorial's looking great, I think the only thing it's lacking is some textual editing--it could use a lot of commas for clarity. I take it that'll be part of the final polishing process? Feel free to send me blocks of texts if you need an editor, because I'm pretty good with that sort of thing and am happy to contribute.
I really liked the music
Wild tiles, 7 tile specials, and spell/trinket usage would be good to add to it. The opportunity to use a spell came up (and was used), but wasn't specifically addressed.

I think it needs to be more straightforward with the teeth attacks (aka, the more teeth you combine the bigger the damage),i don't think everybody would notice the attack number on the teeth and say"hey,it does more damage when i combined more of them".
Although,i don't know for sure.
is there any reason you don't touch on wild and damage tiles in the tutorial?
How can I reduce the graphics of the game?
The game doesn't have an option menu, the game lags and it's difficult to play.

BOI didn't tell you anything but what your buttons did, i think your gunna have to learn as you go a lot in this too.

Each mana works the same. I never thought it should be explained more. But if there's questions... maybe it should.
