- CANNOT BELIEVE I'm halfway through my undergraduate life at Cambridge! 🤯

Halfway Formal Hall is an event that celebrates us reaching the halfway mark on our Cambridge undergraduate journey. Which means it's been exactly 1.5 years since I matriculated and will be exactly 1.5 years till I graduate - insanity! The significance of this date also means that it's right in the middle of term time, where stress levels are peaking. In my continual attempts to keep it real on this channel, I convey the truth about how I felt on that day. In fact, the picture in the thumbnail of me napping in the library from exhaustion was taken just a few hours before the evening dinner. The dichotomy of life at Cambridge, captured.
Though I was experiencing a lot of stress in anticipation of an important meeting I had the next day, I decided to have a well-deserved break that evening, and I'm SO glad I did. The stress and exhaustion in the beginning AND the joy and carefreeness in this video were both very real emotions - being in Cambridge has made me realise and appreciate the transience of emotions and that ultimately it's up to me for how long I want to hold certain emotions. This was the first time where my WHOLE cohort was dining together, and that felt very special. Our Mistress' (very tipsy) speech was also a major highlight of the evening. The collective celebratory spirit really did cheer me up and gave me a bit of perspective on how far I've come and how small my problem seemed from a zoomed-out view.
I know this is MASSIVELY late, basically a whole year ago now - but I hope you enjoyed this.

The polenta/artichoke vegan main sounds pretty good. If I say I'm self-isolating maybe they will send a delivery.

We just visited Girton for a offer holder college tour on Wed 15th Feb and guess what, as soon we entered the college we saw you in the corridor !!! but by the time we realised it was you, you went past. We are visiting 25th feb again for offer holder day. Certainly will come and say hello if we see you this time!
