My dad is in this video :) like that I can come back here and see him, he’s since passed on. I had the chance to be in it as well with my brother, but we both had to work. My step brother did costume design for this video, kind of cool to have all those connections. Closest I’ll ever come to fame 😂

I am also in this video as one of the people in the background of the church scenes. I just happened to be in downtown Kitchener that day and I was already a big fan of Amanda so it was serendipity. :) I still have Amanda's autograph I got that day.

Such a great artist. It's practically criminal that the rest of the world didn't catch on to her. She deserved so much more.
Artists like Amanda Marshall are some of the few that put PURE SOUL in rock, which is extremely difficult to do. She is up there with Joni Mitchell, Stevie Nicks and Linda Ronstadt in that category. Amanda is a solidified legend.

Dear Amanda, I first heard your song 20 years ago on VH-1. I loved it from the very first minute.I was 14 and your song inspired me, gave me hope for the things to come.

Your song somehow still stuck with me always. I so much wanted to be like the guy in your song/video. Until I finally figured it out, 3 years ago - in 2016.
I am just a guy somewhere in Berlin/Germany but I overcame my anxieties and all the things standing in my way. I shaped up, I am successful now, because I prayed a lot and because I always had your song in mind.
Long story short;: I couldn't have done it without you and this song.

this is my all Canadian rock inspiration right here. i saw her singing in bars when she wasn't even old enough to be in bars. Jeff Healey (may he always rest in peace) took her under his wing and then the problems with record companies showed their greedy faces, but guess what, she made it through all that and only let them keep her down for a time. what a strong woman she showed herself to be because i heard she's going back in the studio and on the road again and i'm sure she's going to stand those same #*%^@#$ right on their proverbial ears. you go Amanda and show them no kindness, just that same old "hard edged" rock. just look out at the front row, you just might see my face with the same old happy smile on it!!!. and you know why too.... because I BELIEVE IN YOU!!!!
