You really should do a deep dive on mass hysteria because it's used so often to dismiss stuff but I feel like it's weird on its own and warrants attention.
It freaks me out that the clown sightings are considered a mass hysteria event in modern time. I don’t know, I think you’re right that mass hysteria is just used to dismiss stuff.
I feel like the clown event was probably more likely a trend among dumb teenagers to dress as clowns, although mass hysteria has been used to dismiss it.
I believe, if you haven't corrected it already, "Memphis Rap" refers to the 4chan conspiracy that a lot of the casette tapes being passed around in Memphis during the 90's were charged with haunted/evil energy because of the people making them and the murder that surrounded them.
I love watching these older videos, it makes me smile when you mention how excited you are over 2600 subscribers, then to look up at the current 1.97M sub count. Happy for you, Wendigoon!
A lot of things like Cat Nuns and the Dancing Plague are thought to be caused by ergot poisoning. Especially if it happened in France, where weather patterns at that time period was unusually wet and allowed the mold to spread.
The first time I heard of Inunaki Village was actually on a kid’s website for scary Japanese stories. I thought it was pretty well-known that it was just a legend, like Tomino’s Hell and Cow Head
If you're interested in the workings of a Panopticon, Michel Foucault released some philosophical commentaries on it including musings on different power structures. For example he differentiates between disciplinary and Sovereign power. (For anyone who knows about this philosophy, I'm sorry if some terms are incorrect because I did not learn about them in English and simply translated them)

For those wondering about how Protodites ended up in BIONICLE, they are microscopic beings that can contain the entire consciousness of a being. They are even capable of separating and combing at will, since every Protodite part can act independently of one another while separated. They were first introduced with the character Zaktan, who not only was a race of being known as the Skakdi, but also a Piraka (Murderous Thief), an exiled Skakdi who joined a mercenary and bounty hunting group known as The Dark Hunters in exchange for their leader sparing them during a failed assassination attempt. During their attempt to kill The Shadowed One, Zaktan was blasted with The Shadowed One’s eye beams, which normally disintegrated its target on contact. Instead, Zaktan spilt into millions of independent, microscopic beings called Protodites, leaving The Shadowed One to speculate whether his beams had changed Zaktan, or simply revealed what he was all along.
I've actually seen 3 "organic black helicopters" fly in circles over the lake in front of my house, and when they flew over my house, I hid and got scared for my life. Mentioning them gave me chills.... In my experience they are silent, and they had lights shining down that were both bright but weren't (not sure how else to describe it). This was in the Pacific Northwest if anyone else around here might have seen them.
Honestly, I've been really interested in this whole Agartha/Giants thing. A few videos dedicated to the topics just to see how deep they go could be really cool, not to mention that would give you more of a chance to see if its really connected. The Malta Catacombs from the last videowas wild too. I'd love a deeper dive on that.
Here’s a theory: The “giants” like the MT Shasta guys, the catacomb guys, and the others, are the offspring of aliens who came to earth. They were the original humans, and when the other humans started evolving, the “giants” retreated underground into Agarthis. The caves, the Denver airport, and the other unexplainable locations are the entries into agarthis. The “giants” sometimes show up to watch how we’re evolving. Those are Bigfoots.
Absolutely love the "There are no trees." To picture this massive, out of this world looking Earth just rich with giant dinos and mindblowingly huge trees, very lush etc seems beautiful. my fav one so far

Love the intro. Everyone already "debunks" all of these theories and just calls them stupid and stuff. So it's nice to have this series where you just plainly present the theory and then move on. Like you said it ruins the fun if you just present and theory and then say "AND THAT'S WHY IT'S STUPID"
I wish people took the quote "It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it." a little more seriously. It's like people are rapidly losing their imaginations as well. Almost as if they're worried they're going to be somehow contaminated by thinking about these things if someone doesn't immediately debunk it for them. Plus, I believe a lot of people are just so scared of being "wrong" about something or being called a "conspiracy theorist" (which people have now just associated with right wing politics entirely for some reason) and people now use the term as an insult, they feel they *have* to debunk it in the video itself or it's somehow "misinformation". I've even seen people in the comments complaining and saying "He sounds like he actually buys some of these theories, how stupid" (which for 1, who cares if he does? I do. and 2, just because he doesn't debunk them in the video doesn't mean he believes in all of them). Also - some of the "debunking" in the comments are people who got their information from a government or mainstream media source, as if that automatically means they're telling the truth. If people haven't figured out over the past 2 years *especially* that the mainstream media and government don't have their best interests at heart and will absolutely lie to them, I don't know how much more obvious it could get.
It’s amazing being a new subscriber and seeing the humbleness at reaching 2K. It’s honestly heartwarming and I’ve never been so happy for a youtubers success before. 😊
I find conspiracy theories really interesting, because there are some people who will see a weird-looking rock and come up with a complex backstory for it, saying it's of alien origin, and has been used by cults for thousands of years to grow their spiritual powers. Conspiracy theories are basically just really elaborate fan fictions.
I agree so many conspiracy theories are obviously the brain children of mentally ill people. But you can definitely see why so many people believe them, there's plenty that are true. But it's a slippery slope because some people believe if one thing is real that means everything is real. I'm looking at you lizard people and Mandela effect.
@@aprayingatheist2378 Yeah, just because Operation Paperclip is real and TOR is maintained by governments, doesn't mean Hilter lives in the upside-down with inter-dimensional bigfoot "OMG what if trees are just big grass but we think they're trees because we are small and what if boulders are actually pebbles and we only think they're boulders." I think "There are no forests" can also refer to how deforestation throughout human history has destroyed nearly all original forest ecosystems around the world. This can be seen by how young modern trees are, most are only two hundred years old at most.
I like when you point out things that are thoroughly debunked, but its definitely way more fun that you represent the ideas as "real" adds a fun spooky element to the videos

I though reactionless drive refers to the phenomenon where if you drove the same route everyday and you get so used to it(for example a routine route to work), that sometimes you enter a state of hypnosis, where a 40 minute drive can feel like just a few minute. Personally it happened to me a few times.
I call that "autopilot" It's creepy, right? Especially when you notice that it happened and then think about all the possible accidents that could have happened.
@@Shadowonwater I heard that highway hypnosis is an american thing, because american highways are built overwhelmingly straight and driving for longer periods on them lures your conscience into a sleeplike state. Opposide that european highways overwhelmingly follow the topography of the surounding, so much so, that even bridges have curves in them.
@@Masterofcreat yeah if you go into a trance on a uk motorway you will 110% have a crash or get pulled by police lol cos you gotta be constantly concentrating about other drivers moving around, the changing speed limit, and winding roads, for starters. Also I want to say this is probably my favourite tier you've covered so far and you're only halfway through. I'm beyond excited to hear the rest.
If anyone wants good Inunaki Village content I believe the Japanese found footage film "Noroi: The Curse" draws heavily from the real urban legends. It is a pretty good movie.
The usage of a King Crimson album cover being used for psychotrophic warfare made me giggle. Related side note, have you ever looked into Operation Sea Spray? It was essentially biological warfare done by the U.S. govt. targeting San Fransisco. It was an interesting point of research for me when I started researching unethical human experimentation. Really wacky thing to happen.
I believe the Memphis Rap entry is meant to be the Memphis Sigils, a collection of eight mixtapes from the mid 90's that were supposedly "imbued with dark energy". The artists who performed on said records were involved in many gruesome crimes throughout Memphis during the era of recording, and the lyrics are often viewed as literal confessions of these acts, as well as lyrics including coded language, hidden messages, and that playing original pressings of these albums can cause dark presences, paranormal occurrences, nightmares, psychotic symptoms, catastrophe, and even hauntings. While I don't believe in the "magic" of these tapes, it's disturbing to hear such content being presented without any sense of novelty or fiction to it. The lyrics are true, often unsolved crimes, and the idea of the tapes being haunted largely comes from the belief that the OG presses are processed by the living killed by these artists and by the spirits of the graves they robbed. Most artists have disappeared, been imprisoned, or died. One of them (I think somebody from N.O.D., I can't recall whom, my bad) became a pastor, and Tommy Wright is still going hard, bootlegging his own records on eBay. The Memphis Sigils are sort of a parallel to The Black Circle, a group of Norwegian musicians in the 1990s who became popular for their murders, suicide, mutilation, and arson, which in turn became apart of their music. Research "Burzum's Aske" or "Mayhem's Dawn of the Black Hearts" if you'd like to know more. (Skip lords of chaos unless you want some fun Hollywood trash) While debated, the eight as far as my research can confirm are: Lil Ramsey's "Goin Undacova" Maniac's "The World of a Psycho" Halls of Hell's "Livin in a Casket" N*ggaz of Destruction's "Self-Titled (N.O.D.)" Children of the Corn's "The Single" Mr Tinimane's "19 tini 5" 10 Wanted Men's "Wanted Dead or Alive" Tommy Wright III's "666 ft. Lord Infamous (Dj Paul's Underground Remix)" is often considered the first Sigil, not Goin Undacova, but the hole in that theory is that 666 is a single, the rest are full-length projects. I've seen others claim it was that song which "broke the seal", and something about it connects the "energy" between the other eight. Hope this helps!
@@so-calledpunk323 It's also some of the most unique music ever. Look up "Playa Hataz" by Triple 6 Mafia and you'll have a good understanding of the aesthetic of it all.
@@TairyHesticles yup. Music or whatever, its always something embedded inside of the recordings. Think about this, you've recorded music before, how many times have you heard a audio enigma or the "ghost in the machine"? Now imagine if an artist either "dabbles" or "embraces" those dark arts, there will be things inside of the recording. Its basically the DIY version of what the industry engineers do when they are "mastering" the record. Shit get deep.
It's great that the Memphis stuff has been getting more recognition in the past few years, and i think it's one of the last examples of a music scene having a kind of mysticism and creepy aura around it, where as black metal has been over analyzed and documented to the point practically anyone with even a common knowledge on what black metal is knows the rumors around it, the Memphis rap scene still has that urban legend factor with haunted tapes and the like.
As a hindu. The concept of 'Prana' is exactly what you said as 'lifeforce' or 'energy' that makes a person portray consciousness. In India we have many such cases where a person dying in an accident is told to leak the memories and visual events of his life through prana which gets absorbed and seen by the nearest alive person as visions. And this is not a rare case, all over India and my own family has reported of seeing visions of the dead person's life within the initial 15-20 mins of his or her death Even the Man of Earth theory falls in line with hindu descriptions of 'CheeranJeevi' or Immortal Human Beings or avatars of Godhead which live to this day and are assigned a specific task to complete till which they would stay alive

If you're interested in the workings of a Panopticon, Michel Foucault released some philosophical commentaries on it including musings on different power structures. For example he differentiates between disciplinary and Sovereign power.
Thankyou

Until they're not
I agree so many conspiracy theories are obviously the brain children of mentally ill people. But you can definitely see why so many people believe them, there's plenty that are true. But it's a slippery slope because some people believe if one thing is real that means everything is real. I'm looking at you lizard people and Mandela effect.

I though reactionless drive refers to the phenomenon where if you drove the same route everyday and you get so used to it(for example a routine route to work), that sometimes you enter a state of hypnosis, where a 40 minute drive can feel like just a few minute. Personally it happened to me a few times.
I call that "autopilot"
It's creepy, right?
Especially when you notice that it happened and then think about all the possible accidents that could have happened.
I've heard that referred to as highway hypnosis
@@Shadowonwater I heard that highway hypnosis is an american thing, because american highways are built overwhelmingly straight and driving for longer periods on them lures your conscience into a sleeplike state. Opposide that european highways overwhelmingly follow the topography of the surounding, so much so, that even bridges have curves in them.
@@Masterofcreat yeah if you go into a trance on a uk motorway you will 110% have a crash or get pulled by police lol cos you gotta be constantly concentrating about other drivers moving around, the changing speed limit, and winding roads, for starters.
(Skip lords of chaos unless you want some fun Hollywood trash)
While debated, the eight as far as my research can confirm are:
Lil Ramsey's "Goin Undacova"
Maniac's "The World of a Psycho"
Halls of Hell's "Livin in a Casket"
N*ggaz of Destruction's "Self-Titled (N.O.D.)"
Children of the Corn's "The Single"
Mr Tinimane's "19 tini 5"
10 Wanted Men's "Wanted Dead or Alive"
Tommy Wright III's "666 ft.
Incredible explanation! I consider myself a pretty big old school Memphis rap fan, but I didn't know about any of this. Thanks so much!
This is interesting as fuck.
And this is not a rare case, all over India and my own family has reported of seeing visions of the dead person's life within the initial 15-20 mins of his or her death
Even the Man of Earth theory falls in line with hindu descriptions of 'CheeranJeevi' or Immortal Human Beings or avatars of Godhead which live to this day and are assigned a specific task to complete till which they would stay alive
