Yesterday my best friend just cleared everything in between us. We were together like 4years... but all of a sudden he just said things which made me sick. he was toxic sometimes but i ignored it but yesterday it was all sorted out. he demotivated and depressed me a lot. i was searching for some place to cry. But am happy that god took away this toxic thing from my life. But still somewhere in my heart i was feeling bad... And now i see this sermon touching my heart. and i just want to keep listeining. Keep listening to it. Whatever happens let god be my first priority . Let him be my best friend.

And his example with the songwriting really speaks to me as someone who does creative work and writing and often worries about not being to finish something or not being able to complete it up to my own standards or not being able to make anything afterwards. And that part about how sometimes the worst part comes before the best part was also very, very relatable. I'll be getting so frustrated and feeling helpless, and then I have this breakthrough and my anxieties end up feeling unfounded in retrospect-praise the Maker! 😅😂

There's a lot of self righteousness in the church. People forget we are called to be lighthouses and not courthouses. Jesus said He came to save, not judge. When He comes back, He's going to judge. He also said we are not to judge outside the church. Those outside the church do not need judged, they need saved. We can't make anyone fall under conviction. We can make people feel condemned. God told me a long time ago, to love a sinner and let Holy Spirit do His job of convicting someone. We can't change a man's heart and mind, that's God's job.

But we all have experiences, and wisdom from our own experiences, that we can talk, and even walk others through their dark parts. So completely relevant for me. I was having a pity party over someone else's betrayal. A substantial betrayal, that made me question everything I've put my hand to. This pity party, came after God enlightened me to all the good reasons I shouldn't feel defeated by it. I accepted them too. Loved God all the more. Believed no weapon formed me, can harm me. Lay it at Jesus feet! Yet it felt like I was forcing something, that wasn't quite there today. It only happened today, after almost nine months of positive progress. I even asked God, why have I returned to this dark place, when I've seen the light and accepted all it has revealed. Pastor Steven put his finger on the pulse of it. I haven't dealt with the dark place. That's why it's coming to the surface. So God can help me deal with it.
God Didn't Say "NOT" to Have an Interpretation.... But He "DID" Say not to Lean on Your Own as the ONLY one... Get Lots of Counsel... But We're Each Unique and Our Calling is OURS as an Individual...so Be Well Balanced to See God and Know Your Own "I am..." By Gods Divine Design... Then Know That "MY" Way isn't the ONLY Way...God Leads ALL our PATHS (Plural) to the Truth of the Creative God Who Created Each of us in His Divine Image to be the "I am..." That He Called Us to Be When He Prepared the Work We Are to Do in the World.
I chuckled and choked back spit when I read this because this is so true. I just sed this maybe a day ago and the facts are that's it's not all good with me at all. That's something I'm used to saying to cope with things. When in all reality behind closed doors I'm drying my eyes out and hoping for the best kind of because all I've known, seen and experienced is hurt and I'm tired of hurting and yearning for a connection that I can't find anywhere l. My life sucks at 31 years of age with 4 live kids and 1 miscarriage none of them reside with me. My mother and father are both dead and Yes I'm hurting very badly
The name of the message attracted me to listen to the message. An old friend of mine once told me, "Do you know what I like about you, JJ? You are self-centered and you don't sugar-coat crap." I looked at him and wondered what he didn't like about me if that was what he liked about me. He noticed that what he had said bothered me, and so he repeated what he had said and kind of started explaining why my being self-centered was a good thing. (I still don't understand that part.) He, then, attempted to start explaining why my not sugar-coating crap was a good thing, and I cut him off and told him that if one sugar-coats it that it doesn't change what it is.
I feel the need to add this to it, as well. There are a lot of people that will try to cover their bad habits by applying excuses to them. This is not acceptable. I have always been told that there is no excuse for bad habits. I tend to see this as being a fact more than just a saying at this point in my life. Of course, with all of that being said, I need to say one more thing that covers all of the bases. There is always hope for our lives because there always has been and always will be a God. There is hope for everyone to overcome every situation that ever arises in our lives because God always desires to help us overcome these areas. There is always hope for us to overcome our negative qualities that society may have helped drive us to having; those hurts and those pains from the past can still be taken away from you; those insecurities can still be dealt with effectively; any issue that one might face we can still make it through; and it is because God not only can bring you through it, but rather that He desires more than anything to bring you through it because He so loves us. "Because He lives I can face tomorrow" God desires to give us strength for today. God desires us to taste the living waters and never thirst again. "Taste and see that the Lord is good. "Jesus blood never failed me, yet," and because our "God is the same yesterday, today, and forever" I can truly say that I know that Jesus blood won't fail me. I know that Jesus blood won't fail me because I know that Jesus won't fail. "Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine."

I think we, as a people, don't talk about the dark parts enough. We all experience it and may even be too afraid to talk about it. But we all have experiences, and wisdom from our own experiences, that we can talk, and even walk others through their dark parts. To anyone going through, and dealing with a dark area, myself, and others, care for you dear stranger. Don't be afraid to speak out, even in a comment section ❤️ God bless you

So completely relevant for me. I was having a pity party over someone else's betrayal. A substantial betrayal, that made me question everything I've put my hand to. This pity party, came after God enlightened me to all the good reasons I shouldn't feel defeated by it. I accepted them too. Loved God all the more. Believed no weapon formed me, can harm me. Lay it at Jesus feet! Yet it felt like I was forcing something, that wasn't quite there today. It only happened today, after almost nine months of positive progress. I even asked God, why have I returned to this dark place, when I've seen the light and accepted all it has revealed.
Pastor Steven put his finger on the pulse of it. I haven't dealt with the dark place. That's why it's coming to the surface. So God can help me deal with it.

Then Know That "MY" Way isn't the ONLY Way...God Leads ALL our PATHS (Plural) to the Truth of the Creative God Who Created Each of us in His Divine Image to be the "I am..." That He Called Us to Be When He Prepared the Work We Are to Do in the World.

I chuckled and choked back spit when I read this because this is so true. I just sed this maybe a day ago and the facts are that's it's not all good with me at all. That's something I'm used to saying to cope with things. When in all reality behind closed doors I'm drying my eyes out and hoping for the best kind of because all I've known, seen and experienced is hurt and I'm tired of hurting and yearning for a connection that I can't find anywhere l. My life sucks at 31 years of age with 4 live kids and 1 miscarriage none of them reside with me. My mother and father are both dead and Yes I'm hurting very badly

The name of the message attracted me to listen to the message. An old friend of mine once told me, "Do you know what I like about you, JJ? You are self-centered and you don't sugar-coat crap." I looked at him and wondered what he didn't like about me if that was what he liked about me. He noticed that what he had said bothered me, and so he repeated what he had said and kind of started explaining why my being self-centered was a good thing. (I still don't understand that part.) He, then, attempted to start explaining why my not sugar-coating crap was a good thing, and I cut him off and told him that if one sugar-coats it that it doesn't change what it is.
I feel the need to add this to it, as well. There are a lot of people that will try to cover their bad habits by applying excuses to them. This is not acceptable. I have always been told that there is no excuse for bad habits. I tend to see this as being a fact more than just a saying at this point in my life. Of course, with all of that being said, I need to say one more thing that covers all of the bases.
There is always hope for our lives because there always has been and always will be a God. There is hope for everyone to overcome every situation that ever arises in our lives because God always desires to help us overcome these areas. There is always hope for us to overcome our negative qualities that society may have helped drive us to having; those hurts and those pains from the past can still be taken away from you; those insecurities can still be dealt with effectively; any issue that one might face we can still make it through; and it is because God not only can bring you through it, but rather that He desires more than anything to bring you through it because He so loves us. "Because He lives I can face tomorrow" God desires to give us strength for today. God desires us to taste the living waters and never thirst again. "Taste and see that the Lord is good. "Jesus blood never failed me, yet," and because our "God is the same yesterday, today, and forever" I can truly say that I know that Jesus blood won't fail me. I know that Jesus blood won't fail me because I know that Jesus won't fail. "Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine."
Jesus went through it too God's going to say my son went through it with you and Jesus isn't crying about about what he went through
