Someone said that an executive in a meeting was explaining the casino industry years ago. Basically the plan was to get people to walk into the casino so they had the opportunity to spend money. Next gently put these people out on the sidewalk again. Crazy simple idea. Today these are big businesses called entertainment. For me it's not entertaining because I see the suffering and addiction to gamble. Sad

Thanks for sharing and absolutely agree I don't find them entertaining either. I worked as a valet (waitress) for a casino years ago for a few months because I hated it. Saw one incident where a guy was selling his kids toys on the carpark so he could try and win back the rent money he'd lost. And yes. Most casinos 'lure' people in. They let players win a few times then once they've reached their limit the house wins it all back with interest (allegedly)
