I think the NBA should increase it to 4 years out of high school, so players can get their College degree, or some life experience, before they come into the league.
If I’m an athlete that’s about to be league bound in a year or 2 why tf would I be worried about a damn degree. Shouldn’t NO professional sports mandate that as a law. Sports is a form of entertainment bro. You don’t need a degree to entertain the public and play a sport. Just have to be good enough to play. I get Watchu tryna do you know , being a pro athlete is still a job technically they still get paid twice a month like most people. But that’s not a regular job and these ain’t regular people like u & I. That alone is enough of a qualification for them to play their sport professionally.
These types of players benefit the teams in playoff contention (usually picking lower in the draft) anyway. Not justifying his fall, but was more likely to be wasted on a rebuilding team "reaching" for him.
Bro I love the plays they run for him like that one set called Finland where the mavs also ran it for thj in the past it has so many layers and leaves room for all these different options out of it
I have a grammatical question as a foreigner: Why do people say K-Necht? Is it just for the word play that people outdo grammar? Why does the rule of k+n = "n" sound (like in "I knew it" or for example "Beyonce Knowles") doesn't apply here and everybody seperate the K from the N? Why don't people say Beyonce K-Nowles? (word play with cannoli 😂) Thank you very much to anyone who can answer. And the dude is very entertaining, hoping to see him go far in the league!
'Knecht' is of German origin and is a cognate of 'knight,' also of German origin and of similar meaning. In Old/Middle English both words were pronounced similarly, beginning with a hard 'k'. Over time, changes in spoken English occurred and the 'k' sound lost, but the spelling--probably because of the printing press--was locked. That 'k' is still heard in German. Similar for 'knife' which also originally began with a hard 'k.' For a more in depth explanation check out the Wikipedia article 'silent k and g.'
That’s a great question actually. My best guess would be that his family name is originally from another country, maybe Germany, where the k-n is not pronounced like an English/American k-n, and they just carried the pronunciation with them.
Idk about one of the best -- a big part of being a _good_ 3-and-D player is the ability to actually make shots and he has a TS% of 50% But Camara is definitely a league pass nerd darling. One of my favorite young players to watch. I love how he plays.
Dear Sacramento Kings: HE WAS RIGHT THERE WHY WOULD YOU PICK ANOTHER GUARD, LET ALONE AN INJURED ONE, WHEN YOUR ROTATION IS ALREADY TOO DEEP *Ahem* Fuck the Lakers
Why did so many teams pass on him? I remember during the draft they were surprised he was available past the lottery. I'm genuinely asking. Was it a concern about his defense? He's been playing really solid defense as far as I'm aware... i literally have no idea how or why he fell to 17th or whatever it was
@IceCold_Carter thanks man. I get the logic, but I, personally, would have no issue taking a really good 23 year old over an 18 year old who MIGHT be good in 5 years
This happens evey year since LeBron joined there's a 1year sensation but it doesn't pay off First was Kuzma -> traded Second was caruso -> traded Third was Reaves -> scapegoat last year Now it's Dalton , let's see what happens next for him , trade or scapegoat when he'll have a bad stretch

I find it hilarious he wasn’t taken in the top 10 strictly because he wasn’t a raw freshman and instead a pro ready senior. These GMs man…

Yeah, think about him on Charlotte. What he gonna do lmao
Amazing analysis. I love what JJ Reddick is doing with this team and with Dalton...imagine if Darwin Ham was still the coach
The ATO at 2:10 is soooo pretty to watch.
And my god, his shot just looks exquisite.
Funny how the super rookies didn't come from the top 5 this year
It's not that uncommon
@@rosko1221smith Giannis, Kawhi, Joker, Steph
@@shorewall I meant super rookies, like guys who just go crazy right out of the gate
All of those guys were projects to some extent
Yeah like my glorious king bronny james
Not uncommon in a pretty weak draft

this was a great video thanks bro
My rookie of the year
This is going back a ways but his jumper reminds me of Dale Ellis. If Ellis was playing today, he'd be averaging 30+ points probably.
Yeah Dale Ellis was elite!!!
Go Dalton. Go Vols
I’m a knicks fan but I’ve watched the lakers way more this season 😅
real deal ooter🔥

I’m not sure I have an answer to your question other than that’s just how his name pronounced. That’s the only reason I say it the way I do.
@@AlexHoops Thanks for answering.
Mysteries and evolution of linguistics are interesting.
Edit: Dalton is exceptional on many levels!

You should do a video on Toumani Camara he is one of the best 3 & D young guys in nba but no talks about because he plays in Portland

He is so fun to watch...and he couldn't have a better coach IMO.
Nah when KJ blocked his dunk I was rolling
Great video too btw
They prefer an experimental non guaranteed player 😂
Credit DLo for this man’s development and surgence as well. He been making the game a whole lot easier for Dalton. DLo a real one for that
that's crazy how the Spurs fumble their #8 pick when they still need realiable shooter.... he was my 1st choice at #8 😒
He wasn’t foreign enough for the Spurs
If the lakers need to find a way to get whatever 2 out of the 3 of Lavine Lonzo Vuc
Neither
