When you decrease the pressure slightly below saturated vapour (the water vapours that float freely above water surface, with no need to turn into liquid or disperse), the liquid water temperature doesn’t change, meaning there is enough heat in the liquid to boil. Water vapours are colder than water liquid and the process continues until the temperature in the remaining liquid matches the temperature of saturated vapours, or the entire liquid evaporated. If liquid water was already colder than vapour state, then the water is in the process of solidifying, so reducing the pressure further will also reduce the vapour state pressure and since there is not enough heat to boil the entire volume of liquid, the remaining liquid turns into a block of ice.

    Enjoyed it. Thank you.

This is exactly what happens with a freon in an evaporator used in air conditioning. The liquid freon flashes in the evaporator changing from a liquid to a gas and absorbs heat energy to accomplish this which cools and dehumidifies the air.

Thank you for this demonstration. I'd like to see 'super-critical' water explained one day. Apparently it's boiling and condensing constantly, under great pressure and temperature, such that it can corrode materials.

My evaporation question is next due the volume interference of boiling and removal of something not visible seen creating genetics and eventually heat . Molecules seem to hide in liquids unseen by combined unison. Until it boils of course. This fact escapes most obvious thoughts . The atmosphere is seeming compressed in everything to a point. So, that needs approached on that point .

So do you think the water transfers the heat to earths core to increase the warmth but loses on upper surface due to its transfer ? The earths main shifting points that allow such also add to some recent suggestions of melting caps . I still look at components as loss and alter reaction but in this case it's opposite the atmosphere and inner earth held point. Good point to remember. Yet, I'm certain the atmosphere does due the suns solar transfer flares require a pull from the spread direct and for you , figuring the best way to explain light speed . Give it some thought about atmosphere separate of liquid and mechanism of kenetics

So we can decrease the temperature of water(here), by lowering the pressure. And finally when it does not boil, actually at that point the temperature is lower than the boiling point.😊

So our atmosphere needs some real checking about air pressure and boiling point. I know it's not just a temperature issue , even if it needs to be .
