Yeah but as of now there are more than 6100 Starlink satellites.. Chinese submarine can get detected by sheer probability. And once first few satellites are shot down, I bet Starlink will have enough time to recover and actually develop some mechanism to detect the source with pinpoint accuracy! But I agree, the plan is ambitious! If China can do that to Starlink satellites it can certainly do the same to Indian defence satellites.. India needs to develop a mechanism to thwart such potential attempts.

Laser is not stable at such long distances due to vibrations and instability of platform. US had to abandon its airborne laser because of it. so not feasible to have such weapon.
