I find it interesting the journey new cars take before they arrive at dealerships. I also find it interesting that you’re picking up those trucks at a ship yard in California instead of a rail yard.
@@jonathanzellner906 Its not, empty autorack trains have to go empty back to get loaded at some point lol. Its the same process a truck goes though. Trains just go from Point A to B hauling a good 1,000 to 2,600 cars. A single rail car can take 26 cars, multiply it by 50 to 100 railcars.
I’m a new car hauler and I still need help with balancing the weight on the truck to not be overweight. Can you make a video showing what trucks you back on or cars and what cars you drive on for weight purposes.
I truly truly Salute you on you job. I help a car hauler one time In when we was done I had to shake his have.may God keep blessing you and keep you safe while you load & unload you wagon. Stay safe out there. I am a 35years retire driver due to my Health. I miss it very much...
i’m with URS dawg thanks for helping me configure this load. i’m a 22 year old car hauler just started a month ago and im dedicated to making this fun and simple as much as possible
I didnt even look for this content.. I believe youtube knows me too well.. I dont like that, but I am glad that I found this content. I have always wanted to see this being done.. thanks for sharing.
Hi from South Africa. Love the rig man 👏. Thanks for an awesome video, good camera work more importantly good job loading 😂. Well done. ✌️cheers, man, be safe to you and all hauliers on the road 🙏
I worked at a dealership and I was checking in new vehicle and if there was really dirty like in the winter time snow a lot of salt they would have us wash them and check for scratches when they’re dry and they’ll write up the drivers a lot for that😮
@@Ralphybilt if that was you bro lol! I drive for TMC but of course you know all of our trucks look the same. Be safe and I’m enjoying the video. I’m looking to ge into car hauling next year if possible.
Your trailer looks to be the same as mine. But I have a skirt around it, to protect from road damage. Your #2 deck looks different though. I was surprised to see you make height on the #2. Is this peer 80 in LA?
Doesn't necessarily have to be a matching vehicle could be any other vehicle as long as it fits. The vehicle I leave behind needs to be fixed in order to be transported and delivered.
Off camara depending on the size of the vehicles if small 45 min to 1hr if big units little over 1hr. That's with cars staged next to your truck. If you have to walk and to get your cars you could spend a few hours there.
Thanks for the videos, really helped me out when starting out I just took my first load ever of cars and suvs. The question I really would like to know is how much is your front axle legal for? And how do you determine where the cars go on top and up front so your not over weight and over height?
How do you what car to park forward or backward and where to park them at? I’m currently doing otr reefer but thinking about getting into the car hauling transport.
Why did you load the first truck backwards? I would think the wind would hit the back window along with the tailgate and hurt your gas mileage? Am I wrong in thinking this way.?? I know you don’t get good fuel mileage anyway but every bit helps….I’m not a driver either so I’m sure there’s a reason why you did that…
Weight is one reason, but main reason is When you back the truck on the whole back hangs off from back tire to rear bumper, in the front it's shorter giving room for the second vehicle, if you load forward then that whole back is up in the 2 spot, and for me I had one loaded forward that later needed jumped
As soon as you get time under your belt, get away from those types loads. No pay, time consuming etc. Transporting high value cars (1/4 mll.and up pays 5/10 times as much. Keep your damage claims as close to zero as you can (and "they: will check) Good luck to you. PS. I would not have commented if I hadn't saw you "walking lot & looking" for cars!
Honestly I would rather not move high end cars if I had to choose. A bumper on a Lamborghini is 5/10 times more expensive then a bumper on a Toyota prius a scratch is more expensive on a 1/4 mill car than your regular vehicle. I've seen it done and would rather deal with what I'm working with now like they say more money more problems. Thanks for the advice though 👍🏼
@@Ralphybilt I went 30 + years w/o a damage claim on a vehicle. But, to each his own. One thing about car hauling though, you'll always have a job! That it bro keep giving out the secrets for a little fame .. when you see your work is hard to come by and big companies moving your loads for cheaper rates .. good luck .. people ran their mouth about central dispatch .. back in the day you can stay moving all the time .. but now you cam barely find anything .. because people like you show what the game is about .. then a few people get trucks and lock the game down for cheap .. no worries it only a matter of time before someone find your work and cut the rates on you .... your work and money is like your house .. you dont show everyone it and let everyone in ..
All I gotta say is if you got work and loyal customers you got nothing to worry about. Besides I'm not posting rates or anything tied up with who I deal with. This Industry is big and will always be cut throat no matter what I've been in it long enough to know how it works. If someone cuts the rate let them have it eventually they will run thereselves to the ground. What I'm doing has nothing to do with rates or how the industry is moving find your customers stay truthful and loyal to them and they will do the same.
@Ralphybilt ook .. but remember a customer is only loyal to you until they get someone cheaper .. my point is brother is that you are flooding our work with alot more people .. look at how the economy has been .. look how many hot shots and 1 car to 5 car haulers and even flat bed moving the game.. like I say my work is like my house only who I trust and I know is welcome ..
I find it interesting the journey new cars take before they arrive at dealerships. I also find it interesting that you’re picking up those trucks at a ship yard in California instead of a rail yard.
It’s probably just a waste to haul an empty car train to a port
@@jonathanzellner906 Its not, empty autorack trains have to go empty back to get loaded at some point lol. Its the same process a truck goes though. Trains just go from Point A to B hauling a good 1,000 to 2,600 cars. A single rail car can take 26 cars, multiply it by 50 to 100 railcars.

Always a work of art watching a car hauler operator load the wagon

Sometimes there’s no fixing weight depending on the vehicle’s you haul but I will try my best to explain in my next video thanks for watching

Man that’s a sexy ride 💪
I love the way you guys have the trucks any place that you think i can go an apply to drive something like that
This is where all my GMC Sierras come from lol.
Not really they are scattered all around the country
I've seen your truck near Houston once.
Yeah I run to Houston sometimes 🙌🏼
Were you at the 75 Chrome shop show? I thought I saw you there.

I wanted to see how you lock the hydraulic rams in place so they cant fail. New to this my first car haul loading video
I want to drive a car hauler as well.
Where are these trucks make if you picked them up from a ship yard?
do you offer a private group charter across the country?

What happens to the vehicle ya leave behind?

Can you get a remote for the hydraulics

Yes we do on all of our equipment

By your front tire rating
How do you what car to park forward or backward and where to park them at? I’m currently doing otr reefer but thinking about getting into the car hauling transport.
What would the high speed bumps do?
You can air the truck up and clear a speed bump
@@Ralphybilt air suspension?
@channel ᐛ yes it has air suspension
I luv ur vids... hope u can put out one /week...
Working on it!
loved the video
I’ve always wondered can you overload a car hauler?
Yes you definitely can
Another question has there been any car haulers that have lost a car going down the highway that you know of?
I've never seen it personally but I've heard stories
Ma dawg!!!
Glad your back I was wondering what happen to you uploading us car haulers stay moving so I get it
Woooo about time bro we been missing you truck looking sexy as normal love the new camera
wait what you can change the whole car if it has one problem

I highly doubt it but money talks 😅

LOBILLOS MUSICAL DE DURANGO.
Your truck could use some maintenance, it’s smoking like a old fashioned steam ship.
That black exhaust blasting into other cars definitely deserves an ass kicking. Truck is beautiful besides that.

Probably engine weight not too far forward.
Weight is one reason, but main reason is When you back the truck on the whole back hangs off from back tire to rear bumper, in the front it's shorter giving room for the second vehicle, if you load forward then that whole back is up in the 2 spot, and for me I had one loaded forward that later needed jumped
