Everything Krug said in this episode is exactly what I’ve been saying, especially after they landed Adames. HSK reuniting with JHL could help Lee’s development even more this season. And no, HSK isn’t necessarily going to block Fitz, who is versatile enough to play other positions. There’s room for all of them!
a .230 hitter... with no power... who struggles to get to 50 RBI's... on a team desperate for offense... replacing a guy who flirted with .300 and showed hints of being a potential power bat.. genius...
I like it. the Giants still have very little speed in the lineup and Buster wants more. Kim stole 38 bases in 2023, plus has a great glove. He can start the year when healthy, at 2B, but can play SS or 3B when those guys need a day off. Melvin said a few days ago that he would like to get some days off for Adames and Chapman...if only for them to DH. It makes sense. Fitz can play like 6 positions or PH/DH.
Giants are known for making stupid signings,I wouldn't be surprised if the waisted money on an inconsistent hitter and always injured Kim,They would be better of starting Fitzgerald at second base with Willy Adames at short, with Fitz&Adames in the middle of the infield you have a solid and fast Infield........ The Roster/ Line'Up Giants should use... *Outfielders* CF-Jung'Hoo'Lee LF-H.Ramos RF-L.Matos 4'OF-C.Kross *Infielders* C-P.Bailey 1B-W.Flores 2B-T.Fitzgerald SS-W.Adames 3B-M.Chapman *Designated'Hitter* DH-J.Lamb *Bench* OF-W.Meckler OF-G.McCray OF-H.Bishop 3B-C.Schmitt SS-N.Furman(Trade Fr'Clev) 2B-B.Wisley 1B-M.Luciano C-S.Huff(Trade'Fr-Tex) DH-J.Encarnacion -Line'Up- CF-J.H.Lee LF-H.Ramos SS-W.Adames 3B-M.Chapman DH-J.Lamb 1B.W.Flores 2B-T.Fitgerald C-P.Bailey RF-L.Matos Another Infielder we got in a trade from Atlanta, who has a lot of upside is(Lefty) infielder(SS/2B) Nate Furman(23).Another great young player we got in a trade from Cleveland is(Righ'Handed) 3B Sabin Ceballos(22).We also traded for young(Right'Handed) outfielder Jonah Cox(23) from the A's.We trade Catcher Blake Sabol to Boston for INF/OF-Christian Kross(27).I would make Christian Kross the 4th Outfielder he steals bases and has some success with Boston and had a good Rookie year with the Rockies he is definitely Major League ready.... They need to trade OF-M.Yazstremski,1B/OF-W.Lamont'Jr.&C-T.Murphy
11 home runs is good? My how we've lowered our standards. How about a power hitting first basemen? Why are we assuming that Eldridge is going to be good? Everybody forgets that minor league success means almost nothing. I don't get it. Why didn't they go hard at Goldschmidt? Wade is always hurt. We have no real first baseman.
Lmao relax. You’re not going to beat the dodgers by building your team to look like the dodgers. Get great defensively and the offense will come around. As much as I want a guy like Pete it’s not a necessity
I heard this sort of stuff before we signed Adames, it made no sense to me then, and it makes no sense to me now. Kim is a good player, but he's a glove-first guy with at best a league-average bat, and that's not the profile of what we need. We've already got a solid-to-great defensive lineup set, what we need to improve is hitting. Signing Kim and putting him at 2B would displace Fitzgerald, which would actually make the lineup's overall hitting *worse.*
Hsk would be a great utility infielder when Adames and Chapman need a rest day. Fitz had a great second half but we really don’t know if that was a fluke. I’d sign him for the low and see how it plays out.
Someone needs to tell the owners of the giants to let posey get whatever player he wants for 1 year for him to prove himself Let him put together the team he wants to build and spend Go under next year
It’ll take more than a year for Posey or anyone to fix this team. The issue isn’t just spending and even if they did they’d just be the West Coast version of the Mets, an overpaid team with no chemistry. The LA Deferrers have only had one year of success with their spend a shiton model but Ohtani has shown to be injury prone, Yamamoto and Sasaki already have a lot of mileage on their arms for such a young age, and Snell is a a bitch. We’ll see if they can repeat.
For a guy who was rumored to be getting $100M this offseason before the shoulder injury, getting Ha-Seong Kim for half of that might just end up being the biggest bargain of this free agent class. The guy brings elite speed on the base paths, gold glove calibre defense, and an approach at the plate that favors the SF ballpark (strike out avoidance and a slashing style of hitting). The Giants need depth! Fitzgerald is due for a huge sophomore slump (just look at his K-rate and BB-rate). Fitz could be a useful, speedy super sub, but I don't envision him as the full time 2B. Heck, if he proves me wrong and keeps hitting dingers, you could move Tyler to 1B. Posey seems high on Casey Schmitt, who I envision as a utility infielder. Brett Wisely seems like nothing more than organizational depth / journeyman. But at only 25 years young, he could definitely prove me wrong. Luciano seems destined for a change of scenery, or DH. But for 2026, I salivate at the possibility of: C Bailey, 3B Chapman, SS Adames, 2B Kim, 1B Eldridge, LF Ramos, CF Lee, RF Matos, DH Luciano. With Fitzgerald as 4th OF/super-sub, Schmitt as the backup infielder, and maybe Wisely, Encarnacion, McCray, or someone we haven't even talked about as the 26th man. Enjoy Yaz, LWJ and Flores, as it's most likely their last year in the orange and black. In sum, the 2025 Giants will go as far as their defense and young pitching will take them. Adding Kim could be the difference between 80 and 82 wins. That's why a four year pact makes the most sense, locking him up for the prime of his career: age 29-32 seasons. Does 4 years/$50M get it done?
I couldn't agree more. No, it's been the Giants way to just run some AAA talent guys out there. Getting so tired of it. If the Giants want to compete, you got to sign some big names. Get Alonso to play first and sign Bregman and move him to second.
@@marcdoherty6039 Are you serious? Simple: Money! We have lots of it, no cap, and a need for an OF. Both Santander and Alonso are out there and we aren’t even attempting to be the highest bidder for both? Ridiculous. Enjoy Yaz and whatever AAA call up they put in OF.
@clawdaddyvending896 I'm not afan of what the Giants are doing, that wasn't my point. EVERY big bat the Giants have offered a contract to has rebuked them. No Adames is not a big bat. So why exactly would I believe the Giants could have signed Santander? Sure, they could offer him 90 mil a year...but even Farhan wasn't that stupid.
@ It’s not a matter of stupidity. It’s a matter of putting a product that at minimum competes for a wild card spot. The Jays gave him $92 mil. $92M is a drop in the bucket for what we can spend. Adames, Alonso, and Santander could’ve combined for 100HR’s in a season. Casual fans act like spending money in a no cap league is a bad thing. I guess the Dodgers and Rangers are exceptions to that rule. Coincidentally the years that they spent a ton of money, they won WS.
Larry, I know the Giants are boring at the moment but we need more videos on the giants even if it’s criticism. LK talking giants is the best listen in the Bay Area. Don’t let their current position take away from us, that like listening to you talk G-men ball!
How many times can Larry mention that he is friends with our Korean player and that he is injured ? At what point does Larry get paid by youtube for non stop bull crap.
Great............another injured player who was good at one time. Please no. Sign Alonso to play 1st/DH or sign Bregman and move him to second. Hey even both and only then, we might have a shot at competing in the NL West.
Says... he's 25 years old and then 2 minutes later... as he reads the stats page he has open... he's 29 years old. SF needs hitters. And Kim is a hitter. Reads the stats again... last year Kim hit 230... that's not very good. Larry Krueger is so washed up and it's a pity he couldn't get a long with the greatest KNBR on air personality and that Tom Tolbert. Bye bye Krugy!!!!
Actually he could be a sneaky good acquisition
And he has nooooo qualifying offer attached to him. Get that bargain while it’s there
Everything Krug said in this episode is exactly what I’ve been saying, especially after they landed Adames. HSK reuniting with JHL could help Lee’s development even more this season. KRUEG GIANTS VIDEO!!! 🎉🎉
This would be a great move. Pitching and defense is what the Giants forte need to be this year.
I like it it, but give me flashbacks of Freddy Sanchez and his shoulder
Oh boy. I'm sure excited.
Ha Kim will add depth to the roster. I don’t think they sign Alonso but I think a trade of some sort is in the works
San Francisco still owes Snell his $17 million signing bonus in 2026.
10000000000% sign him.
We need a power bat like Alonso. Not Kim

Giants need all the help they can get. NL West is a very competitive division.

Stick him at second and I’m a happy fan idc what else they do this offseason.
Decent bargain if signed, but it wont help the team make the playoffs. They’re still about 4-5 players away from contention if they sign him.
Hsk would be a great utility infielder when Adames and Chapman need a rest day. Fitz had a great second half but we really don’t know if that was a fluke. I’d sign him for the low and see how it plays out.

Bring pete Alonzo to the SF giants!!!
We need Pete Alonso. Not an injured infielder.
Why haven’t we signed Alonso yet? We could’ve got rid of Yaz and brought in Santander in the OF. You know, the guy that just smashed 44HR’s. 🤦🏾♂️
I couldn't agree more. No, it's been the Giants way to just run some AAA talent guys out there. Getting so tired of it. If the Giants want to compete, you got to sign some big names. Get Alonso to play first and sign Bregman and move him to second.

3 year deal with an opt out after the 2nd year, and keep in mind he might not play until the All Star break
I'm not against hsk but your off on Fitz hes a really good player and was ranked as the 6th best 2B by MLB
I like this move
.233 Average is good?? 😂
Since Giants can't smash homers, they will have to do the old St Louis Cardinals days (Vince Coleman, Willie McGee) with speed and base stealing.
We need a power bat the most... Pete Alonzo. Ownership is not going to go for it, cause they do things half ass.
Larry said last night the SF giants were worth 7 bil, wrong, the NY Giants are worth 7 bill, not the SF giants, woops.
Get him and let fitzy get reps in OF maybe he can be like Tatis and ball out
Larry, I know the Giants are boring at the moment but we need more videos on the giants even if it’s criticism. LK talking giants is the best listen in the Bay Area. Don’t let their current position take away from us, that like listening to you talk G-men ball!
233 avg, 11 hr. 😢
I say sign kim . We need help in the depth area. And need to sign another pitcher.
He’s 29 not 25 😂. The Dodgers Hye-Seong Kim is 25
That's not the same player. Ha-Seong Kim is 29.
Alonso would be a mistake
Not 3 or 4 years. Eldridge is only barely 20
How many times can Larry mention that he is friends with our Korean player and that he is injured ? At what point does Larry get paid by youtube for non stop bull crap.

233 average is a good #?? Get out of here!! This is why the Giants are a below average team!!! This s another reason I don’t listen to Kruger!!
Says... he's 25 years old and then 2 minutes later... as he reads the stats page he has open... he's 29 years old.
The giants should be signing Japanese players. They are the best players from Asia. The Sapporo fighters have some good players
No thank you. Fitz hit 11 hr in 2 weeks

🐻❄️ not HS Kim
Hell no. No spending money on marginal players
