Once again, Z&Z TV is informative, engaging, and mighty funny. What a great father and son team! Keep these coming and may all good things happen for you and your dear family.
This was very enlightening for sure! Thank you sharing! I want to share two of my most favorite Finnish idioms. "Nousta väärällä jalalla" to rise up or get up from the bed with wrong foot. Meaning: that the person is very annoyed or angry in the morning and everything goes wrong. (similar in English would be: get up from wrong side of the bed.) Another one is: "Takki auki" meaning having one's jack open. Meaning: Approaching demanding task without any type of preparation and with careless attitude.
Interesting that we have the same idioms in English but with different meanings, like, 'walking on eggshells' means you're trying not to annoy someone who is easily annoyed, so you're stepping very lightly.
Really funny stuff, but I had to stop half way through. I kept forgetting what you were talking about. Really should have the English expression always on screen. I love idioms! Jim Retired TV Producer
Hey Jimmy, thanks so much for watching and glad you enjoyed. Appreciate the feedback as well - we noticed that while watching now as well will make sure to keep those translations on screen in future videos. Thanks for the support!

Us too! It’s fascinating how language is formed!
The one about peeing on an injured finger. I always heard "I wouldn't piss in his mouth if his teeth were on fire." Lol
We’ll have to ask our dad about that one haha
You reminded me of one my mom always told me "موت يازمال حتى يجيك الربيع" haha.

Thanks Mr Rocko!

You’re so right! It’s one thing for slang to make their way but wonder how entire phrases do the same?
@@zandz One of my favorites that you didnt mention: "When the cow falls, the knives multiply."
