Thank you so much for this video. I’m doing a 4L65e to 4L80E swap in my truck. I’ve searched all over the internet on how to wire this switch up and you given me all the info I need. Again, thank you and you have a new subscriber.
Thanks I am glad I was able to help.
So thankful for this video. Very well done
Glad it was helpful!
Great video thanks for doing the hard work for us
You bet
Thank you sir for this awesome video! I got a 2006 chevy suburban LTZ with the 6.0/4L60E. My (Drone mobile) remote start failed. Physically using ignition key... failed, no start. Come to find my starter froze up/ broke. I replaced starter... no start (no click, no low battery click). I charged battery, nothing. Verified terminals clean and tight. I checked fuses... main ignition (rectangle, clear top) fuse, burnt up. Replaced it... no start. I replaced ignition switch, no start. I replaced the 3 relays in main fuse box... no start. I replaced main power cable to starter, no start. I drank some water, scratched my head... no start. Slept on it... no start. Took it to the installer who installed remote starter (he the one that found the weird fuse blown) now there is power, but no start. So now literally.... thanks to your video, I will be replacing the neutral safety switch and be checking the condition of the solenoid wire. I can't think of anything else that could be bad. Ideas? Comments? Suggestions? Again thank you.
Yeah it seems that you are going in the right direction. Just double check your grounds as well. I only know how to hook mine up only one way. But for sure check all of your ground or you will not get good connection.
@@restosmodsgaragewithcj2808 yup, went through everything. All tight. Replaced neutral safety switch... It started! So again thank you.
good information helped me here in australia
great and thanks for watching
SWEET!! I was happy just to know that the gear selector PARK postition is always FORWARD. My problem is there is some kind of gel inside the male terminals and I can't get the 2 connectors to snap in place. Amyone have any ideas???
find new ones and replace.
Thank you for your video!!!
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks for the video, I am assuming the switch will show all positions? PND321 ?
Yes sir it does you will just have to make sure that you adjust the shifter cable correctly as well.
Thank You Sir!
Most welcome!
Draw a little diagram, nothing fancy, of the wires from the pins on the switch to the starter etc. . .. where the pink and green wires go? What pins? What about the starter relay? Draw a picture of it and then film the picture. Thanks big man, a nice work.
I could do that in a future video I’m sure.
Hey I did a 80e swap on 03 tahoe would this apply? Truck indicated in 2nd causing no start but in park I jump green wire from sns truck started
Yes as long as you are using a 4L80 or 60 you should be good.
Thanks man....just what i needed
welcome
nice work 👍
Thanks for the visit
Where did you connect the orange wire form the psi harness ?
I will have to go back and look at the video
Thanks big brother
no problem
Very helpful Thank you my friend
No problem anytime
I just put in a used 4l60e transfered my original switch didn't align it because I didn't know that they have to be aligned it only bolts on one way and the gear arm only goes one way back and fourth... My truck is jacked up in the rear and when I put it in reverse it last 3 seconds tires spin then stop .. new fluid new filter.. I was told that these switches nothing to do with how the transmission actually goes into gear.. but clearly it must ?? So my faulty or unaligned shifter switch could be the cause why my transmission won't go into gear because it's not getting ground or bad connection?? Weird how this lil peace plays a huge delicate roll.
What about a he transmission cable did you check to see if it was long enough because i ran into that problem and it would not go into all of the gears until I figured out that I was using the wrong freaken cable as well. Maybe something to think about.
the purple wire comes from the ignition underneath the dash inside cab?
Yes it does
How does this method work for the single plug 2005 4l80e neutral safety switch
It should work the same way no difference when finding a ground an positive connections.
I can use a multimeter and does key ignition need to be on ? Thank you in advance
So its two wires needed a positive and ground?
no you do not need a multi meter that is what the battery pack is used for.@@darenmartin9692

Ok so how do you find the wire that tells transmission to shift
That I can not help you with.
How about the reverse light?
If your going to use a lokar shifter then you will have to run a separate wire from your reverse lights to the shifter.
I’m not getting no power in any wire
Not sure
Actually lies it's supposed to be in neutral to remove it.. real transmission shops and ither UA-cam channels auto shops said so
Thier you go.
MUCH NEEDED INFO BUT HARD TO WATCH A DIS-JOINTED NARRATIVE AND VIDEO!
