Kudos for ditching the robo-voice! This makes viewing your content SO much more enjoyable! That said, however, some of your information on the Pfalz D-III is incorrect. While the Pfalz D-III *looks* like a typical sesquiplane, it actually had two main spars in both upper and lower wings, which gave its wings much greater strength than those of the Albatros D-III/V/Va. While the original Pfalz D-III was something of a dog in terms of maneuverability (especially in terms of its roll and climb rates) the greatly improved D-IIIa version soon became the mount of choice for several high scoring German aces, including Josef Jacobs, who preferred it over the "technically" superior Albatros D-III. While it was still not as maneuverable as the Albatros, the D-IIIa's enhanced speed and greater overall stability made for an excellent gun platform.
One of its most endearing qualities, to its pilots, at least, was the fact that they could dive vertically at full throttle, and still pull out without shedding their wings, unlike the Albatros sesquiplanes. This made it very easy to escape from a superior enemy force, since the Pfalz D-III could even out-dive the rugged SPAD S7 with ease!
When equipped with the intended BMW engine, the Pfalz D-XII became a very spirited performer in its own right, farly speedy (over 200 km/h) fairly fast climbing and fairly agile, as well as retaining the unmatched diving characteristics of its stablemate, the D-III. However, many Jastas would deliberately strike their Pfalz D-XII from inventory (by faking accidents, basically) so they could install the BMW engine in their Fokker D-VII's instead.
There was nothing inherently "wrong with" or "bad" about this final Pfalz; rather, its maker simply suffered from negative PR, partly as a result of being located much further from the front, which fact Fokker pounced on at every opportunity. Granted, its service ceiling wasn't quite as high as the Fokker D-VII, despite using the same superb BMW engine, but its only real shortcoming was that it wasn't nearly as easy to fly as the Fokker D-VII. Novice pilots who were introduced to the Pfalz D-XII faced a much steeper learning curve than those who were given the Fokker.
So while the Pfalz D-XII was an excellent all-around fighter, it was only too easily eclipsed by the ace-maker that was the Fokker D-VII.
I'd love to see you do a video on some of the real oddballs of the Luftstreitkrafte, such as the Pfalz Dr-I and Dr-II triplanes, both of which saw combat in relatively small numbers (no more than a few dozen of each were made) or the even stranger Siemen-Schuckhart D-III and D-IV! Weirder still was the attempt Siemens made at building a twin-engined, push-pull configuration triplane, the Siemens-Schuckhart Dr-I!
Keep up the great work, by all means!

0:39 "...before the war ended in November 1919"!? What is this, the Oz/Elbonian War? You get a "Dark Skies' Error Point" for that slip. 0:40 "The Pfalz D. XII, a fully capable fighter JET..."!? Another "Dark Skies" stumble. 2:03 "The first fighter competition in January 1919..."!? This smells like American teenage spirit. 2:28 "When the prototype flew in March 1919..." Three strikes, and you're out as a historically accurate presenter. Did you proofread your script before recording it? 5:02 "...machine guns synchronized to shoot through rotating PROPELLERS..." It's a SINGLE engine aircraft!

Champlin Fighter Museum (the inventory is now part of the Seattle museum of Flight) had a Phaltz and Avaittic as part of the collection. They were the only two authentic W.W. 1 A/c the others were replicas or reproductions

The aircraft at 3:30 is the Siemens-Schuckert SSG3 isn't it? Another amazing machine that came too late for Germany because of issues with the rotary/radial engine. I have the Wingnut Wings kit of the DXII. I need to build it. That one at 7:32 isn't a Fokker... Looks like a later SSG aircraft. The Swiss air force used the SSG aircraft into the 1920s and they were renown for their amazing rate of climb, the best of the war on any side.
