- Miele WT 2780 Technical Fault 55 Overheating - Solved
Open the lid. To open the lid there are two screws covered by two plastic covers on the side of the machine. Take off the plastic covers and unscrew. Lift the lid up, front first and pull gently. Under the lid is the heater. It is silver and runs from the rear to the rubber cuff. There is a reset button. This button is for safety cut out in case of overheating or whatnot. This may have tripped. It’s on the right when viewed from the front. Its black with a black button in the middle. Press this button firmly and release. That is it. All done. Enjoy.
Thank you so much. Saved us time waiting for an engineer to attend to do the same. Fingers crossed doesn't trip again.
Thank you so much! I just fixed mine
Thank's a lot! That was just in the right time!
Thank You very much for the video i just save 140 € for just only call out to my house from miele support centre Ireland.
You are welcome mate.
It happens more and more often. What could be the reason, does anyone know?
What did you do?
Does the machine need to be running in order to do this or can it also be switched off?
Switched off
Thanks for the video but you did not touch anything, is there a reset button?
Can you help me with the similar issue on my W4449 washing machine.Displaying exact same error message?
Following the instructions on video. Should sort you out.
The video doesn't show how to actually do anything!
There is showing highlimit switch got Tripp need to press the switch again and the problem going to fix
@@ismail.abdul88ismail84 high limit switch only triggers when the dryer heater is over heating. So there can be a low insulation to the dryer heater which is causing it to trip.
