That guy getting so upset cracked me up! Your call was more than reasonable given the action and the board. I love the story telling as well. Great vlog today.
Lex this is why I subscribe and watch your channel this story is soooo freaking relatable. You give me hope and drive to keep pushing when hope is lost. Appreciate you man I needed to hear that I’m not alone and it happens to everyone.
As someone who’s in this exact situation and felt like I was watching a life biography of my last half year, I needed this, Appreciate all the hard work you put out to show us the true adventure of this life 🙌🏼
I’ve only been playing live poker for just under 2 years. Last week I was dealt QJ of diamonds and hit a royal. I got paid in about a $700 pot when the other player in the hand also had a flush. Was so cool to hit a royal flush. Some players have been playing for 10 plus years and never hit one.
Thanks for playing lower stakes. For us beginners it's a great learning experience to get better at playing against amateurs. Feels like a different kind of game with all the call stations, nits, multiway pots, old man coffees, limpers, etc that you just dont see in higher stakes or other pro vlogs. Even 2/5 cent online games arent like live. It'd be awesome to see more!
I started playing in the early 2000’s online and live cash. I destroyed a couple of monitor and broke about a dozen keyboards playing online. It was a learning experience for me like poker university and lost over $50k. Took a decade to finally get out of the hole and didn’t play for years. Since then my cash game winning percentage is about 72% and cash two years in a row in the WSOP main event. I’ve gotten all my money back and then some.
Great stuff Lex and great story too. I play 1-2/3 so I was digging the action and yeah, I think I’ll play my big hands more aggressively versus trying to trap and getting sucked out on now. Thanks again.
I like how you tried to make the big easy look nice with that b-roll in the intro, but despite your effort it is undeniable big easy is the mustiest poker room in broward. Can't lie tho the crowd there is funny and it's a good vibe. Glad you're back lex, sorry again about all the negativity following your big losses, ur still goated and i'm from the DMV too which is trippy. Hope you're good man looking forward to new content :)
Glad to see you being humble playing 1/2. Lex, you are a man of value. Forget about the haters. No matter what you do people will hate you because they either secretly want to be like you or because they can't control you. Your the Boss.👍
Ha! "You call me with a Ace High? How TF you make that call??". Welp, you're up against a savvy player who can see through your BS. Niiiiice hand LexO!
Let’s Go!! If you didn’t check twice might not have ever hit the Royal either!! Awesome story and cheers to you my man. What a great journey and how cool to have the notes to look back at.
Love the relatable video , I just met you last weekend on my bday weekend at the hard rock Hollywood it’s so great that you are the same person you are in person vs on your vlog, if I had the bankroll to play at your table I would have lol , can’t wait for you to have a meet up game !!
Thank you for sharing that story. I've made plus $16,000 in one month playing 1/3, 2/5, 10/25. And I've lost -$16,000 in one month. After 7 months of playing, as of today, I'm -$30 for the last 7 months. I've been questioning myself with those same questions you've asked yourself. I needed to hear your story. Thank you.
I enjoyed it. You continue to run good and make good decisions. Occasional small stakes poker videos are good for you to connect to a lot of small stakes poker players Thanks
it cost money to learn... its the best way.. speaking of county jail, Playing poker is how I did my bid. Most of all it kills time. won food & Took care of myself. you get pretty good when your playing to eat ..... Cool video I appreciate your time
Very relatable video. I've been with you since the beginning and enjoy your videos, but the $$$ amounts are unrelatable to my bankroll. ( but enjoyable). Thanks for playing stakes for the average Joe.
Loved your story I’m grinding 1/2 now myself have years of experience but this is the first time I’ve decided to take it more seriously I’ve busted my bankroll many times myself I just got back to New York from grinding in Atlantic City broke even this week unfortunately but I’ll be back out in AC next week grinding again
Amazing story Lex. Thanks for sharing. Ironically, I was making a run at poker in 2018 as well. I busted my roll as well. I busted it so bad i signed up for uber April 7th 2018 so I could make rent on my apartment in Huntington Beach! i left poker and ubered for a while. Now i own a Security company and play online mostly.
Lex, I’m going to the Hard rock in a couple weeks and want to play poker. Will try for a 1/2 table around 6-7pm. How long of a wait should I expect and do I have to remain in the poker room the whole time? Thanks!!
Longtime follower of the vlog and fellow Floridian - Pensacola. Good to see you mixing it up and getting back to your roots. Hope all is going well with you and the pups and thanks again for making and sharing the content. It's 110°F up here today, so nice to get a surprise vlog to watch in the AC!
That mouthpiece to your left was used to being able to get those bluffs through in Prison. When u looked him up he figured u must be cheating...lmao ;)
When you have QT of hearts, you raise preflop and get 4 callers on a flop of 8h7s6h. The SB jams for 40 and you say you “quickly call” - you’re giving off a poker tell. Usually a quick call represents a draw. You should at least pause for a few seconds to not make it so obvious.
Bro you are taking a long time for video!... i thought you promised twice a week! Bring it on man!... you need to come to texas and buy a few poker clubs!... everybody is buying a few!... Wolfgang, Hellmuth, Neeme/Brad... Jaman...and more!
I recently made a similar call on a similar runout with ace high at 9:30 that was also good. We had the same thought process hahahaha, getting the light calls through is a good feeling.
1-2 is a game of comparatively high variance -- the players in it will stay when they shouldn't, which means that sometimes they hit what you don't expect them to (or they suck out on an all-in). But that's good -- remember that every time a player makes an action that they wouldn't otherwise do if the cards were face-up, you're making money long-term on it.
I hit 2 quads in a 1/2 game with $1000 max buyin. flopped quads with pocket 9's and got K6 offsuit and got quad kings on the river. got paid nicely, and wish i vlogged it :c but i took photos so that was pretty cool
I am the brokest I've ever been because $1/$2 players don't have any concept of the game and get lucky all the time. I'm still waiting for that hand that will save my poker career.
Now I understand why you’re having the comments screened. Nasty people. If you don’t like just click out early and move on. No need to be ugly. Some of us enjoyed the story
That guy getting so upset cracked me up! Your call was more than reasonable given the action and the board. I love the story telling as well. Great vlog today.
Summary: was down $2,500 lifetime, hit royal in 2018 and it’s been wine and pancake syrup ever since 👍
😂😂😂
How did u calculate 2500 lifetime?
Wine and pancakes, what more could a guy want? 🥞🍷
Lex this is one of my favorite vlogs you have done in a while. I love how honest and candid you are about your journey with your poker career.
Lex this is why I subscribe and watch your channel this story is soooo freaking relatable. You give me hope and drive to keep pushing when hope is lost. Appreciate you man I needed to hear that I’m not alone and it happens to everyone.

You came a long ways Lex O you are one of my top Favorite vloggers keep it up & keep it real .Congrats making this far 🎉 🎉🎉
Just remember, for every poker hand that SAVES someone's career, there's a poker hand that ENDS someone's career.
Bankroll management

Lex, awesome video with the $1-2. Everyone has been in this situation before… keep up the good work man!
I appreciate the lower limit content, there is a lot more multiway at lower limits. Helpful for us playing these stakes

I smashed my laptop into 50 pcs in a rage in 2008 playing online 5/10 Plo. Stupid I know, just relating😁
The grind is real bro. Super rewarding for all the work you've put in. Keep staying humble & hungry . 🙏🏻 Best of luck to you sir
What got you back on track as a winning player? What were you doing that resulted down 50k? Would love to hear more. Awesome comeback though 💯
Sounds like playing at the county jail.
Super raciest but hilarious
@@Wholeyhuman literally the most ignorant comment I’ve seen in a hot minute!!
Haha good 1
Great stuff Lex and great story too. I play 1-2/3 so I was digging the action and yeah, I think I’ll play my big hands more aggressively versus trying to trap and getting sucked out on now. Thanks again.
The guy bitching about your A high call on his bet that made no sense was hilarious.
He was trying to punk him into not doing it again. Oh not he had to see his cards instead of knowing he was bluffing based off the way he was betting
The black funny guy next to you is definitely a High Roller!🤣🤣🤣
Thanks for sharing this experience with us! It was very fun to hear about your early days and how close you came to going a different way in life!
I love your poker success story. Congrats. You put in the hard work and earned it.
I like how you tried to make the big easy look nice with that b-roll in the intro, but despite your effort it is undeniable big easy is the mustiest poker room in broward. That casino in Hollywood is where I learned how to play poker...many great memories there. Haven't hit a royal in 16 years.....so rare.
Hey Lexo, great story. I heard that in the past but it was nice to hear it again. I really enjoy your poker vlogs. Keep it up!👍

Glad to see you being humble playing 1/2. Lex, you are a man of value. Forget about the haters. No matter what you do people will hate you because they either secretly want to be like you or because they can't control you. Your the Boss.👍

That dude is a pure newb.
“Did you see my cards or something cuz !?!?” 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Let’s Go!! If you didn’t check twice might not have ever hit the Royal either!! Awesome story and cheers to you my man. What a great journey and how cool to have the notes to look back at.
Enjoyed the story. Very relatable to anyone that has been through it.
Didn’t know one hand could make or break a poker career I thought I was making good decisions in the long run😂
Great story, so happy for you Bro, love watching you play, keep the winning going!!!
This was awesome Lex! Happy to have met you at the Hard Rock a few weeks ago!

Trade in that Aunt Jemima syrup for some non-corn syrup authentic maple syrup
Until we get our black queen back on the package, boycott aunt jemima.
Just met Lex in person. He's not playing around about his crossfit days. Bro is solid.
Great story Lex....Thanks for the inspiration!
That was a cool story, Lex. I enjoyed it.

It always feels good to make a good read and a good call.
I think you seen the cards!
Lol!
That's some funny shit.

Great story about the Royal Flush Lex.
my man thought Lex did some voodoo lmao " u seen my cards?!!" ahhh man too funny
Very relatable video. I've been with you since the beginning and enjoy your videos, but the $$$ amounts are unrelatable to my bankroll. ( but enjoyable). Thanks for playing stakes for the average Joe.
I'm surprised he didn't use the race card after you said "you're trying to steal"😅
Wow, what a nice story. Hope you make all the way up bro

The guy screaming like he never saw someone calling with A high😂😂😂
Really great vid, fam!!!
Luv the "B" roll... 🤙👍💪
You're a nice guy always rooting for you. Less conversation and a bit more action

It's 110°F up here today, so nice to get a surprise vlog to watch in the AC!
Another good vid. Like the ones where you tell a story, you're good at it
Great story Lex you should get a tattoo of the 10 clubs.
Enjoyed your story and shows how hard it is to make money in low stakes games when most players don’t have that much on the table.
I love seeing you play 1/2.
Love the big easy. Best 1/2/10 plo5 game in town
That mouthpiece to your left was used to being able to get those bluffs through in Prison. When u looked him up he figured u must be cheating...lmao ;)

Once you get poker bug you not going back. Glad you made it.
Syrup belongs in the refrigerator
Quit glazing the pancakes.
Bro you are taking a long time for video!... i thought you promised twice a week! Bring it on man!... you need to come to texas and buy a few poker clubs!... everybody is buying a few!... Wolfgang, Hellmuth, Neeme/Brad... Jaman...and more!
I hit a royal flush once. No one else had anything and I was the big blind, so I only won the small blind after checking the flop and turn.
I liked the story at the end. I am 1/2 player too
I recently made a similar call on a similar runout with ace high at 9:30 that was also good. We had the same thought process hahahaha, getting the light calls through is a good feeling.
38% equity with his combo draw was hardly a bad beat.
Dude finally went busto

Do you post when you're going places? I live in Slidell just outside of NOLA and would've tried to come play.
Nice to see you at the Big Easy!
Button straddles should be banned
Great video. Love the 1, 2
Thanks
The Big Easy! My fave casino when in Southern Florida
You stole that dude's cookies. Lol
Easy money over there that guy on your left is a free ride 😂
I hit 2 quads in a 1/2 game with $1000 max buyin. flopped quads with pocket 9's and got K6 offsuit and got quad kings on the river. got paid nicely, and wish i vlogged it :c but i took photos so that was pretty cool
I live in Broward and wonder about these little casinos, Magic City and Big Easy, do they have better games than hard rock?
Great story! Thanks.
That guy is why I avoided The Big E when I was living in FL.
Great video lex
I am the brokest I've ever been because $1/$2 players don't have any concept of the game and get lucky all the time. I'm still waiting for that hand that will save my poker career.
Was that down in Magic City, that you used to play often?
