Good news everyone! Both Thrillville & Thrillville Off The Rails are now Playable on Xbox One & Xbox Series Consoles. Let's hope this breathes new life into the Franchise!
Woah somebody actually remembers this exists! I grew up with Off the Rails, well before getting RCT3, and I always remember it fondly. It was part of why I got into theme park management games, and part of why I’m a roller coaster enthusiast to this day. It’s hard to find many people talking about Thrillville, though, so thanks for this!
i loved Thrillville so much off the rails to be exact. i just wanna know what game is like that one where you can actually talk to npcs again that'll be nice. so you know any close to that cause idk LOL
Thrillville was amazing and it doesn't hold up today, but that's the point. It was good because its core audience was kids under 10. It's extremely straightforward and easy to understand which is good for that age demographic. I guess that's why I'm not mad about it not being an A+ title like planet coaster, cause it wasn't supposed to be. It was more of an introductory course to theme park simulation games. If Thrillville got another sequel or even just a remake with modern graphics, better mini-games, and better AI guests, it could honestly rival Planet Coaster for the theme park genre.
I heard the song Suddenly I see and I new I knew it from a childhood game. I had to look up the “suddenly I see from a video game” this game was wiped from my brain until now. It’s all coming back to me.
This game would be so dope if made right now I loved this game . They could do a huge open world concept with awesome ride designs and all of that . Wish they would remake or do a new one
I've only played Off the rails on ps2 and had loads of fun with it back on Christmas day 2007, I've remembered spending hours in the warehouse making creative rollercoasters non-stop :)
Loved this game when I was a teenager. I love how you can just do the surface level stuff like building coasters and play the mini-games. But if you want to go deep with the management stuff you can adjust ticket prices, advertise to different demographics, listen to customer complaints (like lack of toilets) and act accordingly. Loved that you could even ride your own coasters which was extra incentive to build some crazy ones. Most satisfying thing of all though? Building some balloon and hat stands, then seeing crowds of people with balloons and hats.
I wish the new PLANET COASTER, witch was recent release had a collaboration with the thrillville. Imagine going around the park with friends. Maybe Online mode, you could invite up to 3 friends in your park. Enough of this competition war in game industry. We must work together that way we can create 1 MASTERPIECE. I love thrilville, if they want a come back. They must work as a real team, and make the 3rd Installment. They should act now while the hype of the next gen it's still fresh! 💯
Probably THE most underrated video game series of my childhood, I can’t even explain how many hours I spent playing Thrillville: Off The Rails on PS2. This series desperately needs a remaster seeing as simulators have only been getting more popular, I guess the backwards compatibility will do for now though
Played Off the Rails *so much* as a kid, it's unreal. Felt like the game was packed with infinite content I wish I still had my wii so I could look at all the rides I made (I used to laugh my аss off at how funny they were)
My childhood game, i have been played thrillville 1 and 2. there so many minigames and I love it and i enjoy all of it. They should remaster/remake this game or make a sequel. Nowadays, we cant find amusement park games like Thrillville anymore. Especially those with lots of minigames like Thrillville, characters selection and customization, interacting with people, buy accessories to wear and many more.
It would be amazing if frontier brought back Thrillville with Planet Coaster’s style and freedom. Still, being able to actually walk around your park and interact with customers was a really cool idea I haven’t seen been done since Thrillville
Played the Off the Rails game and boy is this my childhood. That soundtrack is so nostalgic now and I really love the feel and design. Wouldn't mind seeing another by a indie dev. I don't think a AAA dev will treat this right.
I remember getting this for the wii on Christmas. I had RCT3 but loved the fact I could walk around and experience my park. It would be a nice change of pace from the sandbox theme park builders like Planet Coaster.
Played planet coaster recently and was soooo disappointed thinking it even compared to thrillville. I loved the story lines, ease of creating coasters, guest interaction, mini-games, cut scenes, we neeeed it remastered
Thrillville was ment to be a more simpler type of the theme park building genre. It takes out the long and tedious task of building and managing your park and trades it in for what really matters in theme parks, the attractions. In games like planet coaster and RCT, you are constantly trying to actively manage your park, making sure rides don't break down, making sure guests are happy and have their needs met, and most importantly if you are making a lot of money. Thrillville takes a lot of this stuff away in favor of a more fun and interactive experience for people that don't want to spend hours upon hours trying to build the best looking and successful park. You spend less time managing the park and more time doing the fun things that these games provide like riding the rides, playing the games, and talking to your park guests using your own in game character, which has yet to appear in any other roller coaster sim, new or old, besides maybe Theme Park World, which had the camcorder mode. But even then you don't actually have a player character to control. In my opinion, I feel like Thrillville has inspiration more from "Theme Park World/Theme Park Roller Coaster" than RCT or Planco. Even the PS2 version of Theme Park World had sideshows that you could play, as well as being able to ride all the rides while also trying to manage.
great video. i remember as a kid playing a lot of thrillville of the rails. i had a very love-hate relationship with the game. on one half, i could create my own rollercoasters, make my own mini games and overall have fun. on the other half i knew that rollercoaster tycoon 3 existed and had far better creation tools (my favorite part of thrillville) but i never got to play that game because i didnt have a good enough pc to play it. but thrillville did eventually get me into tycoon/management sims. even though i havent played rollercoaster tycoon/planetcoaster yet, i have played city skylines and tropico 6, even though they arent rollercoaster tycoon-like games, they fall in a similar design/goal of make X thing reproduce money but dumping money into it.
Came here to watch since Thrillville Off the Rails is part of Xbox games with gold July 2022 line up. I already beat the game years ago on the Xbox 360 before setting up my own account. So I'm having a little fun with it
I loved this game as a kid but as an adult it absolutely sucks. I hate how little you can actually "create" in your park and the rollercoasters can never be built realistically. Planet Coaster and any of the original three Rollercoaster Tycoon games are so much better for allowing you to create the park of your dreams!
Make a new one frontier! Please! I really loved these games as a kid, and I can only imagine with the tools newer consoles can provide the possibilities!!!!
@@BigGreenGaming It really does. When I saw the thumbnail video for it, my first thought (and I didn’t even see the name of the game at that moment) was “…Thrillville?” with a smile on my face.

I got Thrillville Off The Rails when I first got my Wii in '08. It's a great game, and definitely one of my favorite games to play on that system. I prefer the Wii version over the Xbox one because the rollercoaster designer works better with a Wii remote since you have more control over the overall direction/angle the track goes.
