That would be interesting.
I love watching your videos,I grew up in Astoria and love when you show your apartment and your walk to the train. My family still lives there and seeing your walk brings back memories of my childhood.
That area is Bay Ridge, and yes it’s popular, though usually you need to go a few more stops on the R train to really get into the popular area. Convenient for the N express train though.
Yep, around 72 and 75th Street, waaay nicer. As well as around 92 to 95th Street. The areas around 86th, with stores, not as nice, and don't like the 50s.
The building is close to the subway, and not many stairs to climb. In-building laundry is a plus. The apartment is small in almost every way, but two compatible people might be able share this little nest comfortably. I emphasize compatible, because you'd never be more than a few feet apart, but having your own bathroom always makes sharing easier! The shared price is quite low for NYC!
Great apartment overall but one small part is an issue for me: the stove is next to the wall and there is no tile above the stove as there is over the back of the counter area. Will there be food and grease stains on the wall next to the stove? Can you be comfortable cooking without some elbow room on either side of the stove? If you use the right-hand side burners that's a lot of heat only inches from the wall. Will the wall eventually be scorched?
I’m personally not too worried about the tile. You can always clean that area after you do any extensive cooking, or put up your own backsplash, but I do agree that it’s an awful tight fit if you like to cook a lot. My guess is a lot of people living in NY don’t cook that much, since there are so many varied options for food.
@Andrew Brendan: agreed. There is often not enough thought going into the kitchen space. I've seen slot in cookers with gaps around them that will allow food and spill overs to reach inaccessible areas. Next thing you know, there is an invasion of cockroaches. 🤮
I visited friends in New York a few months ago and they had a similar kitchen. The said they only use it on Thanksgiving and Christmas. When dinnertime rolled around they opened a drawer with carryout menus from the neighborhood restaurants. They said it was easier cheaper and more convenient to order out than to drag groceries for blocks and up several flights of stairs.
Good price for the location and not having to share a bathroom. Can't believe how cold it is thou, winter is warm where I am, I think 50 degrees is freezing 😅 props to Cash for still walking around the neighbourhood making videos for us!
Where I am it might get above freezing this weekend. We had our first -25 wind chill of the season this week. Can't believe how warm it is in NY. As he said, what gets you is the exposure time people spend walking around.
Bay Ridge is one of Brooklyn's finest areas, great restaurants and if you walk a little further there is amazing clothing boutiques. After seeing this apartment, I have made a decision. Cash, when we are old and gray and no one basically wants us anymore, you and I can get an apartment like this and cruise the bars all night long!!! lmao!!! Sending New Year's love to you and the family. Stay safe out there my friend. xoxo

It’s a cute little place! Easy set up for two people starting out in NYC Hope you’re having a rest tho Cash! I’m sure your family would like to spend time with you 🥰
Not too many stairs, 2 bathrooms, laundry downstairs, reasonable rent, lots of grocery stores and restaurants. Kitchen isn't great, but you can add shelving, etc. If I lived in NYC, I'd take it in a New York minute (sorry, I couldn't help myself).
Cute. And efficient. I'm kind of happy with the 2 bathroom situation. And the laundry in the building? Extremely cool! And it's Brooklyn! Home of The Beastie Boys and Captain America! I'm okay with that.

Yes the building does look well maintained. I've never seen the exhaust pipes like that before tho. Makes me think that the laundry room wasn't there in the past. Guess people will be eating at the coffee table because that common space is super tight

That standing shower makes up for it. Due to the window. If I was required to rent it. I would get one of those elevated beds. This way I would have more room for my stuff. the apartment is nice, I like it small, I like, I LOVE the neighbourhood, everythings perfect, although I dont like shared apartments. I rather rent something by my own (I repeat, dont have a problem being small).
The problem with these reconfigured apartments, especially in these older pre-war apartment buildings, they always have the same cookie-cutter kitchen set up. These small kitchens are not ideal for people who enjoy cooking. Plus, there is usually no actual living room, just a small space off the kitchen where you are supposed to put both a kitchen table *and* your living room set-up? If someone wants an actual separate living room, one of the bedrooms could be used that way. It's easy to figure, so many of these spaces were larger pre-war apartments which were cut-up to create these smaller spaces. Can an apartment without a large open-plan kitchen/dining/living room area actually be called a four room apartment? 🤔🤔
MMPH... For $2300/month that's a great unit and it's cheap! The neighborhood looks nice. I suppose it's just a question (for me) of how far away the location is from public transportation (and, to Manhattan proper) and from an area park. Other than that... NICE!

I think for this price you can learn how to live "small".

Wow, you came all the way to South Bklyn? It is a cute apt but a trek. To get to the city, one needs to take the R train (local service) This takes about 40-50 mins on avg commute. Which explains the price of the apt.
It is very good that they show the surroundings of the apartments. And the street names. Who lives in New York. For him this is certainly helpful. 👍😃 I am unfortunately 6000km away from new york. 😅(Germany)
Love Cash’s videos, watch every day but his terminology is a bit off on the bathrooms and closets. To be considered a full bath, it must contain a bathtub with a shower, toilet and sink. If the tub isn’t there, it’s a 3/4 bath. Sink and toilet only is a half bath. And being able to fit inside a closet doesn’t make it a walk-in. Real walk-ins at minimum are 4’ x 4’.

BTW the South Brooklyn Foundry is a nice looking restaurant & takeaway. Cash, every time you pass an Irish bar you make it sound that you have been drunk and thrown out of them all! Can't believe that's in anyway true.
People are missing out if they think living in Brooklyn isn't for them. I really liked living there. I loved living on Jane St. in the village first but living in Brooklyn was like living in a small town. It was really nice. This is small but nice. I think for this price you can learn how to live "small".
I love Jane Street. I had a friend who used to live 61 Jane, and another friend on Morton Street. Very nice areas..
Have another cup of coffee ☕ with me Cash.. 💝🙏💝 that kind of morning.. Cute neighborhood and beautiful updates on the apartment.. Such a clean well kept building.. 💝👍💝 would make a very happy home. Maybe a small mobile island would help with the lack of counter space. 💝 very nice.
Wow, you came all the way to South Bklyn? It is a cute apt but a trek. To get to the city, one needs to take the R train (local service) This takes about 40-50 mins on avg commute. Which explains the price of the apt.
Why don’t they have the fridge doors open to the kitchen? That would irritate me. Such an easy problem to avoid.
Sorry about the cold for ya. It was over 80 degrees on Xmas day here in DFW. And we certainly weren’t the hottest spot in the state that day. 🤦🏻♀️
You use a wide angle lens. I'm sitting in a 10x13 bedroom and there's NO way that common space is as big as you make it look on camera!
The Woodlawn section here in the Bronx is mostly Irish and you'll find an Irish real estate next to an Irish deli.
Idea for your merch.. the insignia of you on that T shirt your buddy made , needs to go on a winter beanie hat!
Very cute place,, Building has laundry, so that's good,, Plus,, 2 bathrooms...Great!
Nice for young people just starting out. Family type neighborhood.
my neighborhood!! i love bay ridge, a lot of older apartments on the cheaper end compared to the rest of brooklyn.
It is very good that they show the surroundings of the apartments. And the street names. Who lives in New York. For him this is certainly helpful. 👍😃
I am unfortunately 6000km away from new york. 😅(Germany)
The second bed and bath better the apartment I would take as one person.
27 degrees sounds so good right now 😩 high of -17 today lol the Midwest sucks
You're hilarious. I've grown to love Brooklyn.
But it's so funny when he walks in, then calls it a walk-in.
He was making a joke.
27 in New York is cold
We were just walking on the beach a bit ago, wading in the Atlantic surf, in Florida.
Why is the video titled, "Inside New York's TINIEST Apartment" when the apartments featured are not small?
'Clean behind your ears from eating fast food' ????? Cash, just how do New Yorkers eat fast food that they need to clean behind their ears after?...LOL
Cashism: “I’m not cultured enough”. You live in NY! The center of culture! 😂 Another Cashism: “ Its not exactly fancy, but it gets the job done.” That’s everything in life Cash! It’s small for the money. Cause I’m living in a box🎶
This man's hatred of Dunkin Donuts could turn him into a Sith Lord.
Is the market hot for apartments? It seems like there's a lot, but are the landlords being selective? Just curious.
So sad about the view because the apartment is great! That’s the tiniest kitchen that has all new appliances except a dishwasher; amazing they fit it all in!
Oh man. Shen Yun. I was approached to join the orchestra. Then I learned about their living conditions. No way.
What we need is your square footage scale of tiniest, tiny, small, normal, large, massive. 🙂 Also, is it per room or entire space?
This is great for a family!
