Rare is purposely ignoring as to not give hackers the satisfaction of being acknowledged. Rare is fully aware of the Hackers and are likely working on something in the background, in the meanwhile they are putting up a front by continuing to fixing other combat issues that the season has brought to attention aswell as just continuing world updates and adventure to let the community continue playing with as little hassle as possible. Issues are not solved overnight, Rare is only working as fast as they can. Unless you'd prefer Rare to just delete the game in its entire.

It’s not there fault there is hackers like this but I hope they are able to do something about it
It absolutely is their fault. Cheating has been prolific for years, the only difference is that people now have an incentive to cheat given the new rewards. Rare has had more than enough time to put something in place over the years, they've chosen not to and pvp is in the mess that it is now as a result. It takes less than 5 minutes to find, download a completely free and safe cheat, and have it running on your PC.

They should have seen the potential hacker problem when adding in a competitive system like the hourglass but they couldn’t have thought it would ever be this bad. People use the cheats for ESP and use them without you even realising it, it allows players to find your boat extremely easily and then gives them a massive advantage when they're actually fighting, especially since it will show them exactly where you are going to spawn before you actually spawn due to loading screens. I can guarantee that you have fought players with ESP and you haven't suspected a thing because they weren't aimbotting, something which a lot of cheaters avoid doing to stay undetected (not from an anti-cheats, but other players if they want to stay lowkey, maybe hide it from friends etc). People can record their gameplay with cheats active without the cheats being visible in the recording, several UA-camrs have been called out for this in the past. Very few (if any) people used cheats for "hacking in" cosmetics and titles, this may be possible however the vast majority of cheats don't offer this, almost certainly not to the extent of server-side cheats that would allow users to hack in whatever unlocks and cosmetics. It doesn’t happen much at least not on NA east servers. Not a every day thing I play daily and it’s happened to me like once or twice every two weeks since update came out only experienced the flying keg hack once four days ago
I left the game for some time. Even though I do take frequent breaks off the seas, I don’t want to return from this one until an anti-cheat is put in. Hell, I wasn’t even aware there was an update yesterday
With rares track record, the first build of an anti cheat sounds like it would get more players banned that don't even cheat. There is literally bugs that are used as exploits (that I've seen theb do) that make you fly and go breakneck speeds through the water. That would most likely be an instant ban.

The day hourglass came out my second fight I was killed but then spawned back sunk within 30 seconds of the fight with my ship ablaze everywhere which meant they spawned kegs on me
