I cant get enough of Raymond. It did convey a family sticking together in spite of fighting. At the same time, it is sad how our culture has changed from revering the father to criticizing and laughing at him. Father Knows Best, Leave it to Beaver, Andy Griffeth, and Brady Bunch dads reflected another time.

But I sympathize with Robert because there's times where it's so cringe when they clearly favor ray over Robert like literally taking chocolate cake from Robert to give to Raymond just because or when they gave Roberts food to Raymond because he complained there was none left lol. I see the humor but it's so toxic it's hard not to feel bad or alittle angry. Favoritism fucks kids up.
How is it possible that it's THAT difficult for a family of three, two of those three being Robert and Frank, to eat a dozen pears in an entire month? 😂

Some shows start out great and get even better. Then, they get old and worn out, like All in the Family. This show never suffered any type of drop-off. Great writing and a fantastic cast.

Mr. Norton makes me think of that Kickboxer 2 'hype scene' with Sasha Mitchell (I thought it's a woman's name once). A movie to remember like first Buddhist wisdom book. Every single scene was like a Punjabi theatrical drama of Jalandhar.
From beginning to end, Doris Roberts delivered one perfect performance after another. Not a dud in the bunch. Rest in Peace, Ma!
