I've just had my Dyson DC 04 serviced and some new flexible pipes fitted I would never part with it after owning it for around 30 years. It's performed wonderfully all those years and in my opinion nothing comes near it. Looks good and is super efficient. Would never change it for any of the current machines. They definitely got it right with the DC 04.
Fantastic to hear from a long term DC04 user! I absolutely agree, these are fantastic machines! The only Dyson I’d day is better than a DC04 is a DC14 (just as strong but has better suction and slightly stiffer bristles) along with a more quicker to use wand/hose and hygienic emptying design
Definitely would like to see more of this remarkable DC04 Vac. This video really shows how powerful it is. Loved how it lifted the edge up on the rugs and can we talk about the Dyson groom lines, that was phenomenal. 🫶🏼

I remember when I was young, I saw a tv demo of the DC04. There was the DC04 in this video and a silver and lime one. I think it was one of them bid tv.
I have me a shark cordless and I had to clean fluff from the high pile carpet that was fitted into one of the bedrooms in the house where I live + anti hair wrap prevented the brush rolls from getting tangle
Mine just got it’s cleaner head snapped in half and put a ugly dark grey one on it. Hoping I can find another dc04 cleaner head and a new motor it’s on its way Out

I was watching a old EastEnders episode from June 2000. I saw a DC04 being used. It sounded a bit different like it had a motor replacement.

Yes much better than the British models because the UK made ones have poor build quality compared to the late models
Looks like it’s pulling up a lot of carpet fiber
It’s mainly dust, the bristles aren’t stiff enough to rip out carpet fibre :)
