Still the best popping battle I've seen. The skill of everyone is incredible and the energy is just amazing. Best of all: the energy is all positive. No anger or disrespect, so all the energy goes to dancing.
The admosphere, the DJ handling the perfect beat for each routine and great ending. hea also handle the beat before the last one pretty well. This battle may be one of the main reasons this event became more relevant the following years. also the first routine from korea created a trend

This battle is super dope one of the best if not the best popping crew battles I've seen!! Been re-watching this clip many times and it still looks super amazing! Props to Korea and Japan for such an inspiring performance!!
Kite and Madoka - Former Action Kei and Gucchon - Co-thcoo Hozin, Popkun, Poppin J, Crazy Kyo and (Poppin Zero) - Brand New Mind Hozin, Popkun (Dokyun and a lot more) - Real Marvelous Crew. Hope that helped ;)

One of the greatest things in this was the fact both sides acknowledged each other and were respectful but still battled on point. Im tired of battlers butting in the middle of routines and sets.
great battle! ... i discovered popping almost new - its really nice to see how everyone gives kudos to everyone ... there is no real opponent ... they all respect each other and just give a great show - it nearly doesnt matter who wins. .. they had lots of fun =D great to see =)
Hozin's first round was one of the most creative routines and just sick ass walkouts ever. The whole thing went so well with the song. Same thing with Kites routine. I wish they would stick to these oldschool music choices in these competitions. It makes the dancers perform so differently.
Through the whole video I was hollering as much as the crowd was. THIS IS WHY I DANCE! Fucking craziest most creative popping I've seen in a while, thank you Yak for continual inspiration.
Japan team is the winner??? I should watch this battle again, focusing on the solo's because in my opinion, Korea Team was the best (routine wise). Anyway... 90% of my favorite poppers were on the same stage =P, this is an eyes burning battle! I have to check the logking team now
The Idea of making 4on4 in one style is really cool! there you can see such creative routine outputs of those dancers who love sharing one dancestil; which also gives the audience such an amazing ambiente and harmony on the dancefloor. quite nice =)
kite hurikan popping tornado kick so smooth! And Kei got a good control! Each team danced very well with good composition, it's not really a matter of who's the best but more who can express the more
the original brand of those shoes is Hush Puppies but they are rare these days especially the black/white ones because Hush Puppies don't make those any more. Poppin J's shoes are from Ggumbe which is a Korean brand that makes shoes that looks almost exactly like Hush Puppies.
I personally like the one in white, I think that's Japan team, I feel that their movement is smoother and somewhat more clear than Korea team.. and also Japan's choreo seems more attractive event without many obvious creation like "glass" thing Korea did. But the last song that Korea Team did is awesome! :))
+DunDeeoZ yeah. I love how the two crews are mutually supportive. Competitors, but not adversaries. I think I'll make it a point to try to be more like that in my personal attitudes..
0.00 - 2.28 The New Jersey Connection - Love Don't Come Easy 2.29 - 4.43 N/A 4.44 - 7.21 N/A 7.22 - 10.20 Ebonee Webb - Keep on Steppin’ 10.21 - 12.54 DPZ Crew ft Casual Gangsta (Instrumental) 12.55 - 15.55 N/A 15.56 - 17.59 Rihanna - Rude Boy (Chrispy remix) These are the songs we collected so far, please help us find al songs. Thumps up for everyone to see this list.
These guys are insane, dancer They r like drunk with wine, addicted to dancing, to flexible n beyond amazing dancing.. they r fill with blood drunk in dancing..❤❤❤
I gotta say both crews are true hip hop dancers & I respect them for embracing this culture of freedom of expression over seas. I'm no where near the caliber of their techniques but can spin on my head & do a few Jabawokee moves LOL...
I don't think so lolz Gucchon was amazing down there!! Though Crazy Kyo's last round was definitely more explosive, Gucchon's musicality and moves were amzing too in a different way. The camera angling of the battle did not do Gucchon justice but both Kyo and Gucchon killed the dubstep music for sure!
Im not rooting for either sides , both were just too AWESOME! i mean honestly , correct me if im wrong , but i recognize the bald guy from the korea team from prepix ? and of course , their gimics and tricks were really MIND BLOWING! but i could see alot of technical moves from japan and kite , everytime he comes out , he Delivers . nuff'said .
Check out this new sample cut called: "TANKBRAIN FEATURING LOTUS - I'M READY" It would be cool music for hip hop or old school poppin. Bump it in your ride, on your stereo or on your ipod. It will get you "READY" for whatever.
@nday76 I probably shouldve been more clear. Yes in my eyes I saw that Japan wasnt overwhelming Korean crew and vice versa. But I don't seem to understand what you're trying to say by contradicting my own logic. I wasn't trying to make it seem that I was not an amateur and I wasn't trying to make it seem that I saw how Japan won. That's why I talked about the judges seeing something "we" didn't, they're watching the battle in person instead of youtube. "We" meaning Im also included as an amateur
Dude, I have friends in Extreme Crew (Korea), one of the best crews in the world. You talk to them or any skilled b-boy in Korea, they'll all admit that Japan is eons ahead of the rest of the world in poplocking and animation. But in terms of pure breakdancing, Korea is just beyond.
One of the best popping battles on the internet! Here after 12 years and this shit is still fresh !!!!

I think it made it better. changed up the pace showed that the dancers have amazing talent to dance to different grooves.
Korea team's routines are great.
This battle is so epic! I enjoyed every single beat and hit, man those guys are amazing! GO KITE!
The song at 13:00 is Don't Sleep by Invincible Feat Finale. (Prod by Black Milk)
best popping battle ever, I've seen alot but I'm still returning to this since I've watched it for the first time.
Gucchon vs CrazyKyo!!! epic animation battle!
so cool!
John Mayor yea that last set between them was incredible
Korea are keeping it funky and not going along with the animation bandwagon. Big respect.
better then the regular popping battles! DOPE AND MAD RESPECT
This battle changed my life back in 2011 and still inspired today in 2021

08:35 Is that Madoka yelling? Lol!
@1:42 Now that's good sportsmanship! Love the synergy they just showed there out of respect for the choreography, even for the rival team! Great!
poppin jから溢れる良い人感
One of the greatest things in this was the fact both sides acknowledged each other and were respectful but still battled on point.
Im tired of battlers butting in the middle of routines and sets.
Ahhh sick battle. I love seeing the positive side to dance, no hate, just friendly (but competitive) battling!!
That was epic! Both teams were madd creative! Possibly the illest battle I'v seen yet.
After 7 years , Legendary battle
great battle! ... i discovered popping almost new - its really nice to see how everyone gives kudos to everyone ... there is no real opponent ... they all respect each other and just give a great show - it nearly doesnt matter who wins. .. they had lots of fun =D great to see =)

I love battles where each crew gives props to the opposing crew. There was a lot of the that, sic battle, awesome sportsmanship.
Japan team is the winner??? I should watch this battle again, focusing on the solo's because in my opinion, Korea Team was the best (routine wise).
Anyway... 90% of my favorite poppers were on the same stage =P, this is an eyes burning battle! I have to check the logking team now
DAMN that was awesome, best part about a battle is when they hug each other at the end :)
The Idea of making 4on4 in one style is really cool! there you can see such creative routine outputs of those dancers who love sharing one dancestil; which also gives the audience such an amazing ambiente and harmony on the dancefloor. quite nice =)
Sweet. Poppers from Asia have been adding crazy swag to their movements now.
kite hurikan popping tornado kick so smooth! And Kei got a good control!
Each team danced very well with good composition, it's not really a matter of who's the best but more who can express the more

The popper in the whites name is Kite ^^v
Gucchon, Kei, Madako, and Kite dude, this might be the OG dream team, how did they lose?!
Jing Tan They didn't lose, they actually won haha
These are some of the greatest popping routines I've ever seen.
Wow, popping is so much more friendly than breakdancing.
+DunDeeoZ yeah. I love how the two crews are mutually supportive. Competitors, but not adversaries. I think I'll make it a point to try to be more like that in my personal attitudes..
+DunDeeoZ it's also bout the people.. japan and korea have some of the most friendly and respectful dancers in the world
+Roo Kanga yes sir,
+DunDeeoZ of course^^
Lmfao you should look up the video called "da lobby incident" Popping is not always this friendly.
sickest battle i've seen in the longest time. sooo much respect to both sides
omg this battle was awesome !
And what's the name of all these dancers ?
名勝負だ。韓国もかっこいい。
何度見ても感動するなぁ。ダンスは国境を越える
One of the greatest battle in the history
wooooow THIS BATTLE IS SICKKKK Mad Respect and love for both crews. they are hella dope
This is the most incredible KOD crew battle ever
agreed. even after so many years!!
Gotta love Kite. But man, Korea vs. Japan should be every week. For some reason, these battles are consistently entertaining on both sides.

I love it.. You both did a fantastic job... Wish I could pop like that..
I like this and then the after the war (dance battle like this) losing team needs to give another hug :3
These guys are insane, dancer
They r like drunk with wine, addicted to dancing, to flexible n beyond amazing dancing.. they r fill with blood drunk in dancing..❤❤❤
They all good enough. No matter which win. I envy their passion
Love the respect from each crew ..both are crazy talented!
Korea Team is dope but Japan definitely stole the show
2:37からのムーブが神👍
I gotta say both crews are true hip hop dancers & I respect them for embracing this culture of freedom of expression over seas. I'm no where near the caliber of their techniques but can spin on my head & do a few Jabawokee moves LOL...
i never forget this style applied on 2:10
The Japanese crew really had some interesting combo..in an incredible way of course :D
Both crews did great! :D
OMG CRAZY KYO IS SO CRAZY IN THE END!!!!
@asianbboy911 japanese and korean bboys and poppers are very familiar with each other and are friends. they train and sometimes compete together.
Poppin J and Crazy Kyo also go under Blue Whale Brothers nowadays too.
look at that insane dancing both of these group,
look at the dancing step of japan, they r insane dancer actually
@Blourff can't help you with the Koreans but the Japanese poppers are Kite, Gucchon, Kei, and i believe Madoka
Last guy is Crazy Kyo. Japan team is Former Action + Co-Thkoo and Korean team is K-OGS i guess.
It will get you "READY" for whatever.
lol i know :) also hope that our beloved country can achieve that someday bro xD
@Kon51021 Kores(hozin,popkun,crazy kyo,and popping j) and japan(gucchon,kei,kite,and madoka)
Haha I got so excited when I saw the dancers in this video. Felt like a young schoolgirl.
why is the crowd more hyped in this one and not the breaking rounds
Kei, Guuchon, Madoka, and Kite are always together haha
ya, and fresno is a style in poppin too ;) where you are from is the origin of it :)
oh my gosh! It's on fire!!!
they are amazing... i dont care who won, they all were just amazing
omg. Sick battle! Great musicality. And 08:49-09:16 my fav moment.
@woodyni Totally agree with: "I should watch this battle again, focusing on the solo's because in my opinion, Korea Team was the best (routine wise)."
good crowd, and even better dancers. good stuff
"We" meaning Im also included as an amateur
there we go. i don't keep up with poppers much, i'm into the newstyle hip hop stuff.
Is there a tutorial video of where I can learn 01:43 (The freestyle) or just everything? Can't seem to find videos that can help my dancing.
its crazy kyo,and the crew is brand new mind, lol.
Korea`s last one aammazinggg!!!
He is the MUSIC!!!
crazy kyo sure took a beating from his own team in this battle lol
the last korean is crazy kyo and the members on the each respected side are all in different crews
Always come back to see it again. Epic.
This battle is the reason, why i started popping.
Ebonee Webb - Keep On Steppin'
Magnum Force - Oh You Just (Look So Good)
Centerfold - Admit It
New Jersey Connection - Love Don't Come Easy (1981)
Very Nice Styles From Legendary Mr.Animation
omg both the 2 teams are great!
My God... Crazy Kyo at the very end!!!
@Sammy Sanchez... Ebonee Webb-Keep On Steppin'
The best popping battle ever!
both crews were way too good. that must have been hard to judge that!
It's former action ( Kite and Madokka) with Co thkoo (Gucchon and Kei) for Japan!
Although nowadays, Crazy Kyo and Poppin J's duo group is known as Blue Whales Brothers or BWB.
Shiit! That was an epic popping battle one of the best I've seen 5 stars
they're both excellent!!!! WoW
