I feel like The Morning of Owl invented like 15-20 brand new combos and moves for the B-boy dictionary - absolutely amazing! This is what a master b-boy group looks like. I heard they've been practicing for years as a group trying to develop their own style and now they have it with deadly precision. If this is the state of b-boy nation, boy I'm hopeful for the next generation of breakers.

BBoying back then was and still kinda is niche without a lot of sponsored events. its a lot bigger now and redbull is a big investor in the sport. but it was a little too late for MOW. three of the members still bboy together from time to time but for the most part its disbanded.
Body Carnival and Morning of Owl are by far one of the most respectful crews out there. They genuinely applaud each other on skills, rather than degrading them. Best luck to them both!

Cho one of the most if not the most flexible bboys, unique style and a couple of poses and frezes that nobody except him can do, also has a few spins and power moves in his sets that aren't bad at all. Issue, super underated, he has everything, musicality he is a beat killer a lot of times, top noch power moves, airflares, arm spins, head spins, and freezes, plus he has one of the most unique styles in the game combining breakdance with...I think it is wushu but I'm no expert. Code also amazing, pure musicality one of the very best when it comes to that, also very unique and original and he has arguable the best toprocks you can see. Sknuff the fisherman lol, great toprocks and the master of armchairs. Last but not least Pocket, what can I say, one of the most famous bboys in the world, arguably the best power mover, fastest and strongest spins, he looks unatural, like he is gonna fly to another fucking solar system; one of the very few in the world that can do one handed airflares, totally insane, plus amazing musicality, always kills the beat with a super cool freeze.All combined an incredibly complete crew, on top of that the have some of the sickests(and funniest too) rutines of all. Really insane and super fun to watch.Alltogether the greatest crew ever IMO, they are not perfect, probably lacking some footwork and foundation, they are quite away of the old schoold purist bboy, but still, one can't deny their sets were full of woahh moments like no other, pure joy to watch. They seemed to be really nice guys and always respecful with their oponents, extra kudos for that.Man I miss them so much, hope they reunite soon!!

The South korean Crew ( Morning of Owl) were able to bring the kung fu heritage with Wushu accrobatic style within the game and that was fresh to witness! Japan did very good aswell bu South Koreans were flowless!

2013 was unreal. Solo wise there was RBBC1 10 year anniversary that was packed with the very top names, and crew wise we had this battle in particular and this event in general.

I've probably commented on this thread before, once or twice over the years. Gonna do it again. I came for Morning of Owl... They're crazy insane. I always stay because Body Carnival brings the noise too. It might not be as flashy, or whatever, but they are so good too. No one in this video is any less than top of their game, on either side.

Although I don't have problem with the results because Morning of Owl smashed Body Carnival, I don't agree with some of the scoring system. 4, 4, 4, 4, 3 on a set from 6:45 - 7:55? Give me a fucking break. Originality should've been 5. Footwork while having Ayumi wrapping around the guy's body? That is fucking originality and creativity that I haven't seen before.
+kkodds LOL, you're the idiot. You obviously do not know how the scoring system works. Scoring was supposedly divided into 5 categories. Originality, Foundation, Dynamics, Execution, and Battle. Last guy crashing and messed up decreases the execution portion of the judging system. I am talking about originality where they only scored 4 out of 5 on. Makes no sense that the set before 6:45 that Morning of Owl did, Pocket just copied Crumbs with the slo-mo flares but yet, team gets 5 out of 5 in originality. I am not disputing the result because hands down, Morning of Owl crushed Body Carnival. I however am disputing corrupted, biased system. Morning of Owl would've won even if it wasn't biased but yet, they degrade Body Carnival and underrate them.
Body Carnival was incredibly clean, but I just love watching Morning of Owl perform. Their group routines were so expressive and honestly funny, like Code's heart at 12:10 into the followup in the duo a minute later. And their INSANE group routine at 5:15 into Cho's flash and then Pocket's impression of a human dreidel. Plus how they always knew exactly where in the routine everybody else was, their energy and synergy were amazing.
I really dig Body Carnival -- they have such awesome energy and their presentation is alive -- not fake gangsta BS. Morning Of Owl really brought moves and shapes that are unexpected and surprising -- remarkable grace, flexibility, strength and style.

I was so ambitious for breakdance when I was in high-school, then things changed. ^_^ and now whenever the chances present, I always encourage my high school students - whom I taught during my Teacher Preparation Program, to do things they love and keep loyalty to their ambition.
Although I don't have problem with the results because Morning of Owl smashed Body Carnival, I don't agree with some of the scoring system. 4, 4, 4, 4, 3 on a set from 6:45 - 7:55? Give me a fucking break. Originality should've been 5. Footwork while having Ayumi wrapping around the guy's body? That is fucking originality and creativity that I haven't seen before.
+kkodds LOL, you're the idiot. You obviously do not know how the scoring system works. Scoring was supposedly divided into 5 categories. Originality, Foundation, Dynamics, Execution, and Battle. Last guy crashing and messed up decreases the execution portion of the judging system. I am talking about originality where they only scored 4 out of 5 on. Makes no sense that the set before 6:45 that Morning of Owl did, Pocket just copied Crumbs with the slo-mo flares but yet, team gets 5 out of 5 in originality.
I am not disputing the result because hands down, Morning of Owl crushed Body Carnival. I however am disputing corrupted, biased system. Morning of Owl would've won even if it wasn't biased but yet, they degrade Body Carnival and underrate them.

Body Carnival was incredibly clean, but I just love watching Morning of Owl perform. Their group routines were so expressive and honestly funny, like Code's heart at 12:10 into the followup in the duo a minute later. And their INSANE group routine at 5:15 into Cho's flash and then Pocket's impression of a human dreidel. Plus how they always knew exactly where in the routine everybody else was, their energy and synergy were amazing.

I really dig Body Carnival -- they have such awesome energy and their presentation is alive -- not fake gangsta BS. Morning Of Owl really brought moves and shapes that are unexpected and surprising -- remarkable grace, flexibility, strength and style.

너무 안타깝지만 그건 좀 힘들듯... 지금 스위스에서 무용 탱고 비보잉 등등 여러가지로 활동하는 아티스트로 계심.. 외국 티비에도 여러번 나오시고.. 제가 볼땐 이제 한국에선 활동 안 하실듯... 한국으로 언제 오실지도 모르고.. 오신다고 해도 지금 나이가...33살이신데 올 생각이 아직은 전혀 안 보이셔서.. 오셨을때 나이가... 몇살이 될지.... 그리고 한국에서 모닝에 있는동안 심적으로 많이 지쳤었을 거 같아서 그것도 영향이 있을 거 같아요.. 망할 리더 이승주색기 때문에.... 아무튼.. 지금 이슈님은.... 스위스에서 행복하게 살고 계신 거 같아요...
