I'm from Denmark and I totally agree with you with the prices on drugstore makeup.
Makeup revolution, essence and catrice are def some of the most affordable products. Colourpop is pretty affordable as well buuuut I always have to pay a tax fee and then we are up with Maybelline, elf etc prices.
a product Makeup revolution actually knows how to make is highlighter. I have the Soph x revolution highlighter duo, batman and aristocats collab highlighters and really like them
I've always like their highlighters too. The Highlight Reloaded ones with the wavy pan imprint and the Simpsons Halloween ones are some of my faves.

I'm pale pale pale ... And that's why I like makeup revolution because their foundations go so light. Even in their ranges, I'm usually using the 0.25 or 0.5 shades.
I have to recommend Catrice More Than Glow highlighter. It's $5 and sooo blinding. Texture is very interesting, something between cream and powder ✨
That Makeup Revolution cream bronzer is my new favorite bronzer! It's absolutely stunning! So happy to see that you love it too

I swear drugstore makeup in the US is even getting crazy prices compared to back in the day… but technically revlon is drugstore and they have the skin lights prismatic highlighter that is my ride or die. I’m newer to your channel so you could have most likely tried it already 😅 but other than wet n wild, it’s my favorite drugstore one!
I really like WetnWild MegaGlo highlighters. The funkier limited edition collection ones are usually my favorite.

Yes a few people have already reccomended the catrice highlighters they’re amazing! They’re not available in Ulta anymore though just on catrices website. Also flower beauty’s highlighting palettes are amazing too. And the wet n wild Mega glo highlighters are oldies but goodies! And love the crimped hair and pretty simple look!!
Makeup revolution reloaded in just my type is gorgeous highlight you need to try it. Taylor wynn raved about it and I bought it and love it. BTW love the hair
As someone who works in product development and formulation for paints I TRULY appreciate your specification regarding paint from the 80s 😂 nowadays paint really doesn't smell that different from foundation lol (and the ingredients aren't that different from cosmetics either)
In my country Makeup Revolution it’s as expensive as Mayebelline. The real affordable brands are catrice and essence

My favorite affordable highlighters are from Wet and Wild. Specifically the shade blossom glow.
Essence nude highlighter is my favorite for a natural highlight.
Best drugstore highlighter is the catrice one in the round pan - available at Ulta. I love the rose color but there’s also a gold
I love the Maybelline chrome highlighter in the shade 50 molten rose gold, it's a beautiful peachy highlight 😍. I think you would like it.

I’m in Europe and my favourite affordable highlighter is one from Catrice - More than glow highlighter. It is good and not just for the price but good, good.

Angie, you should try Revlon Skinlights highlighter in Daybreak Glimmer, you can find at Walmart, Ulta and even at Walgreens I think..
Maybelline Revlon Covergirl even MCo Beauty are all over $25 in Australia. Occasionally it's on special but it's not cheap for drug store makeup. Makeup Revolution is generally under $20 and accessible almost everywhere. The cream bronzer is fantastic

I wouldn't say "affordable" but drugstore highlighters for me can't beat by Physicians Formula shimmer brick! It's so finely milled with 0 glitter and it honestly makes my cheeks look stunning!
My favorite affordable highlighters are Maybelline Masterchrome, Makeup Revolution Highlight Reloaded (wavy pan imprint), BH Cosmetics, WetnWild MegaGlo, Physician's Formula Butter Highlight, and Ulta brand.
The master strobe highlighters from maybelline are beautiful 🫶🏻

WetnWild precious petals is an amazing highlighter I completely finished it and always got asked what highlighter I was wearing
I've tried the shadow sticks from af94 and the cheek/lipstick, I like both! I use my fingers for cream blush and I really like how glowy it is

How are you liking the makeup revolution bronzer after this video? I've seen its like super balmy like oily? Do you just set it? Or does it depend if you use a dewy foundation or matte foundation if it stays sticky or not?
Maybe I am in the minority but I soooo much prefer the quality of Revolution to elf. Also elf is insanely expensive in Greece their skin tint costs at least 20 euros here.
You're not. Maybe I was just lycky with Revolution but I like kost of thw things I got and I really disliked elf.
In my opinion revolution creamy bronzer is much better than Nars Laguna and … Chanel one and cost me only 6£ !!

In New Zealand none of the drugstore makeup is affordable. The thing that is most affordable is Maybelline, especially the mascara because we can buy it in supermarkets. Nyx, elf, milani, makeup revolution, colourpop etc are all pretty expensive because we have to buy them from US or UK websites. 1USD =1.5NZD, £1= 2NZD, then there is GST and import taxes etc. We're better off buying the cheaper high end brands. We have Sephora in New Zealand but not Ulta. We have Mecca, which is an Australian makeup Sephora type store.
L'Oreal and Maybelline prices are really good in Vietnam, maybe even better than the US, for example the freshwear foundation is about $14 in Vietnam, but they are often on sale for $10 including tax and shipping.
This video I got a little confused which product is from which brand, when you say "this one" and "that one" too often I can't figure out which is which anymore 😅 The look is super fun tho! I like how the liner matches the lip colour.
And for my favourite affordable highlighter, it's Catrice, just like many others have already mentioned!

Hi, Angelica. Yes, I agree with you that L'Oréal and Maybelline products aren't exactly affordable everywhere. At least that's the reality in Brazil, and part of the reason is that our currency is quite depreciated against the US dollar. Some of the products as the BB cream and micellar water from L'Oreal and one or two mascaras from Maybelline can be considered affordable, but Maybelline's lipsticks and foundation, per example, are more in the middle price category. Anyway, is possible to buy brazilian products of better quality for the same price range, so I end up buying products from my country. 😘
I also have that bronzer and really like it🤩 but I decided for myself that I just prefer powder Bronzer in general. Dear Angie, what do you think is the smell of this Bronzer? It smells like some nostalgic candy to me but I can't figure it out?
I think it's the fact that the foundation has a lot of coverage. I feel like there is so much less give with fuller coverage where it's like better to go too dark than too light because otherwise... 👻. I am terrible at shade matching (I have rosacea and can't seem to figure out my actual undertone...send help) so I always have to avoid higher coverage products. 😒
I actually got a cream highlighter from Makeup Revolution that I thought was just lovely; glowy without any glitter at all. This was maybe two years ago though so they might not carry that formula anymore. For a more intense glow with some particles (as I recall) Wet N Wild highlighters are great!
I'm curious on the wear time with that cream bronzer from revolution..I heard some youtubers say it goes on beautifully but it has absolutely no staying power
I set mine with powder and then sometimes I will also put a little powder bronzer on. Last me a good 8 hours.
I live in the UAE and the only actually drugstore products for me are Essence and Makeup Revolution. I am always interested to see your reviews on them because I am a student and can barely afford any makeup unless my big sis gets me some for my birthday haha! If the foundation wears well I might get it!
My favorite drugstore highlighter is the Revlon Skinlights Prismatic highlighter, it's AMAZING, knocks high end highlighters out of the water
This was a fun video. I’ve not been a Makeup Revolution fan, but you’ve got me interested in their bronzer now. My favorite drugstore highlighters, (besides Bh Cosmetics) would probably be the NYX Born to Glow, the NYX Highlighter Enlumineur in rose gold, and Profusion Whipped Glow Mousse Highlighter in Sweet Whip.
Tbh for me Makeup Revolution's base and cheek products have always been the best at an affordable price range. 😊Their lip products are nice (nothing ground-breaking for their price), but their weakness is the subpar eyeshadow formula and all the mascaras I have tried from them are just awful.

Such a pretty look, and I love how you did your hair too. It was so cute. I think my all-time favorite drugstore highlighter is from Catrice and it's the Sungasm highlighter. It is a huge compact, and it's going to last me the rest of my life, but it looks stunning on the cheeks. I use a fairly large brush so it doesn't get too blingy, but it's so beautiful.

The usual 'drugstore' makeup brands are pricey in Trinidad and Tobago. I love the Essence highlighter (the sunlighter shade works for me). They can be built up from natural to a more intense shine and are great for layering with others as well.

Milani has split pan highlighters that are AMAZING! I reach for more than the high-end and luxury ones... also the Sephora brand has trio's that has 1 blush & 2 highlights - those are amazing too! Some are better than others but the "Dare to" something one is the best! The orange-y one is really nice too ♡ you would love em

I really like the triple barrel curler on you. I used to use them all of the time. It gives braid waves basically without having to put braids in wet hair and waiting for it to dry lol. Love it.

8:02 I totally agree with you with prices of drugstores' makeup. I'm from Czechia and for example Maybelline is often two (or more) times more expensive than Essence, Makeup Revolution, I 🖤 Revolution, Miss Sporty, Catrice etc. For example price of some L'Oreal's mascara is really similar to Huda's mascara. I don't want to say what's better, that's not the point, but for many US users Huda is high-end brand and L'Oreal is just drugstore brand. Brand like ColourPop or Elf are not commonly available. Of course, we can buy it in abroad but it's not so affordable if you have to pay duty.
Makeup revolution has great hightlighters! Try the Sophie something or other....can't remember the name.
Bought the Revolution cream bronzer in Medium the other day. Used it this morning and not thinking, really loaded my brush. Needless to say, I have enough bronzer in my brush for the rest of the week! But I love the color on my fair-to-light skin. Love the SSS from the Colourpop Pooh Collection....great as eyeshadows or highlights!
I really want to go to WalMart and check out the AF94 stuff. It looks fabulous on you! I got my 2 "Cheek Freak" blushes from About Face and I LOVE them. They seem like they're going to be oily, but literally change into a powder on my face. The bright lilac shade (Score) is perfect for me, but they have a few orange shades, Angi!!
I live in Mexico and Elf products are even more expensive than L'Oreal and Maybelline 🤡 Nyx and Milani are also more expensive so I don't even look their way. There was a time when Physicians Formula and Flower Beauty were sold in Walmart, but not anymore 🙃 My favorite highlighter is the Wet n Wild Megaglo in Precious Petals (and the Hades one from ColourPop xDD).
I'm glad you tested the Revolution Bronzer...I ordered it yesterday after seeing so many good rave reviews on it...but I feel better now you have tested it. The foundation looks good...but your description of the smell...hmmm....I think that is enough to pass (and also that I dont need any more foundations at all...for a long time!) I really hoped you would test the maybelline liner out....next time.

Wet n Wild and Catrice make awesome powder highlighters. And Physicians Formula makes great putty highlighters (although they are more expensive).

Best drugstore highlighters IMO are Catrice for subtle and Juvia's place for blinding. I also like some of the revolution highligter palettes.
Ok, I will try this bronzer...I have to after seeing you😁. I like the catrice highlighters and also one from sleek ( from a face palette with bronzer, blush and highlighter). Have no idea if you can but it in ulta as I'm from Spain 😉
Yeah every time I see loreal, maybelline etc. in "drugstore" products I'm like... Yeah, not in my country though. I mean it's not high-end but around mid-range.
In Hungary, Maybelline is around the same ballpark price range as Revolution, especially Revolution's latest releases. I find Revolution and co. a bit steep here in pricing for the quality, because I also found more misses than hits in the range (especially in the eyeshadow and the lip product department) - I do tend to like some of their blushes and highlighters, and some eyeshadows from the Pro line, their concealer is OK but I have faves that are cheaper.
I love the current Catrice highlighters - such a nice, non overly glittery glowy finish! I also like the fact that none of those highlighters are too light, too shocking, more natural looking but not lacking in sheen
