I'm a child of the supermodel, Kevin Aucoin '80s glam and I continue to do my makeup much like I learned to back then. True, I test out new formulations and follow influencers like yourself to try to update techniques, but I struggle to create 'no makeup makeup looks' because I continuously revert back to glam. I think this is normal for most of us, to prefer the type of look that was in style when we first became serious about wearing makeup. My grandmother always wore red lipstick a la 1940s, and my neighbor continues to wear the 60s-70s hippie vibe of makeup. We are creatures of habit. That said, I was late in finding your channel but have become obsessed with your content, so I've been watching many of your older videos and I can honestly say that I see subtle changes you've made over the years to your preferred looks. Subtle changes only though, because you obviously know what makes you look and feel your best, and you're right! You're gorgeous, inspiring and whole lotta fun to watch. Thanks for keeping it real!
You've always been so real with your content and I can honestly say that I do my makeup just the way you do 2016 vibes I barely started doing the fluffy brow technique I feel like you do your makeup the way you want and you were taught because at the end of the day there's no right way of doing makeup 💄 we all had to learn from somewhere 😊

I will add, if you have watery eyes, the MIlani Stay Put Eyeliner works so well, and I use the brown shade, Semi-Sweet! I also use a similar bronzer to the MIlani one, the Maybelline City Bronzer. The lightest shade is perfect for my super pale skin!

I'm so happy you've found your own favorite way of doing makeup. I feel like trends are just things to try but when you find what you like, embrace it! You can update in lots of ways to stay modern, while keeping the techniques you love. I've spent my whole makeup life trying to get a bright lid & deep outer corner, now that I have the knowledge & products to make my very un-poppy eyes POP, I will not stop lol. My halo eyes are pretty undetectable (I wear glasses & have deep, hooded, shadowy eyes, my makeup looks big to me but very subtle to everyone else, kinda fun, I can go full glam whenever & it looks office appropriate lol), but I wouldn't stop even if they were. Robert Welsh has a style of makeup that isn't super trendy right now, and he works it beautifully because it's his artistic style, same as you ❤

Its the same technique that has been used for ages in fashion, Hollywood and events. Its true there are trends that are different but this style lasts because is a classic eye that looks good on anyone. ❤
The eyes have a kind of rainbow sherbet color story & I cannot get enough! I can't really do that many shades on my centimeter of lid but love watching it
I like how you use more products by using both sides of the face for different products and appreciate you pulling some other products out, so we can see how each apply, look, wear and all that good stuff❤ That Milani conceal in Honey looked perfect on the skin and didn’t get stuck in your hairline like the CP does. I hate the MUR IRL foundation, so I’ve been hesitant to buy the concealer despite hearing a lot of people love it because they also love that Nyx serum concealer and although I’d love it as a foundation, it doesn’t do a whole lot for me as a concealer.

I would love to add that the la girl lip liners are very affordable and so good. And i have to say that Revlon is that girl when it comes to lipsticks. Super lustrous has some great shades, and i really love the reds. I totally agree with you on the milani lipsticks. Idk how they did it but they are very similar to the pat mcgrath and dior mattes in my opinion.

You have influenced me in buying so many of my favourite products, the irl concealer is my favourite one not only drugstore. Favourite full stop. It wears so good all day, I don’t even have to set it. Sadly Milani isn’t drugstore priced here in Sweden, but I don’t care. LA girl is hardly not sold here anymore, so whenever I can find it I try to buy something. Regarding the way you do your makeup, I like it. I don’t get why anyone should follow a trend just because. I do my makeup the way I like it on me, the way I feel pretty and confident. Thanks for a great video and for all of your hard work! I prefer milanis old eyeshadow pallete packaging was more lux looking but their eyeshadow are buttery and good. Love the prepped skin today so healthy and glowy looking
Hey jaz! How u ever tried to use your shimmers with a flat slightly fluffy dense brush? I feel it helps pack on a lot more of a punch versus using those types of flat synthetic brushes
I purchased the Nyx concealer (shade Golden and Tan) because of you! They are beautiful, so buttery and smooth to apply under the eye. I use shade Tan as my "foundation" 😇 I used to purchase Maybelline Fit Me Concealer which is also great, but they were sold out at that moment so I decided to give Nyx a try 😊😊
