Yes I intend to do that, unfortunately I'm very busy with other stuff at the moment. I also have channel about wristwatches where you can see some of my production: ua-cam.com/channels/ZmvM39ck6z4j20pisIXuFA.html
Just stumble on to your UA-cam channel last week. Love it. Great reviews. I was in the process of getting rid of 25 years of Nikon stuff and your review confirmed my thoughts on the Sony A7lll. I really struggled with the G9 but went with the Sony because everyone states the image is better. That said I am still struggling and may send it back mainly because of zoom lens price and size. Would you say there is a big difference daylight - landscape/wildlife - images. If close I may return and go with the G9. Again, very good information.
Thank you, in good light the main difference is the dynamic range, which is better on Sony, but the G9 is very good as well and it beats A7 III if you use high-res mode on tripod. There are some very good telephoto lenses available for the G9, so that can also be important factor if you shoot a lot of wildlife, I will make a review of Leica 50-200 soon, that is an excellent lens for example.
Nice review, man. I am a french man, but i live in Bratislava as well :) I shoot with Lumix G7 and Fuji XT2 (and Canon G7X mark II); I am very much interested in this G9 because it has everything I want as an upgrade to my G7 : 20 mpx sensor, IBIS, weather sealing and AF josytick. I love my Fuji XT2 but I also like very much Lmix ergonomics' and my Pana-Leica 15mm f1.7 and 42.5mm f1.2 ! I might wait a little for a summer deal or next Black Friday :) Love your content, maybe we'll see in Stare Mesto ! haha
Thank you, I hope that you like living in Bratislava, G9 is a very nice upgrade over G7 or G80, if you don't mind the size. I like the XT-2 as well, will try to get my hands on X-H1 once it is available.
great video i have the sigma 30mm f.14 and think of buying the 16mm 1.4 for wider shots with bokeh and seperaton but ialso wanna get the g9 i love the feel in the hands and that it has the stabilization also that it is really good in takin gphotos. Do you thin the g9 will be a good upgrade for the gh4? Also if you use a steadycam, can you get even smoother shoots when using the image stabillizer of the g9?
Great Video. Quick question, I am trying to choose between the new Sony A7lll and the Panasonic G9. I owned a G7 and love the handling and overall shooting experience and fully articulating Touch Screen but really disliked the IQ and colors. I've heard that the G9 is much improved IQ and Colors. For Photography specifically what would you suggest is the camera to buy G9 or A7lll, Thanks... PS I sold all my older Nikon APSC equipment. and am starting from scratch. I have about $3K to spend on a new system, any suggestions are appreciated.
I haven't used the A7 III yet, so I can't tell you that, I should have it next week and then I will make comparison of A7 III and the G9, but you will still have to choose between ultimate image quality (Sony) and ultimate handling and usability (Panasonic).
You think firmware update would allow this camera to have V-log? This is the only thing stopping me from getting it. Also I'm hearing from other reviews that the high resolution mode is not good for landscape because *any* movement produces ghosting (clouds, trees, etc..) Can you test this out and see how much movement is tolerated from the pixel shift
Technically it is definitely possible to have V-Log on G9, but I'm pretty sure that it will not be available for G9, Panasonic will keep that for the GH5. Every movement is visible while using high-res mode, because the IBIS is moving the sensor, which means that it is not providing any stabilization. If the movement in the picture is natural, like moving clouds or water, it doesn't necessarily look bad, it is like shooting long exposure with ND filter.
The Hybrid Shooter yeah i figured they left vlog out. I hope its like canon and you can "hack" it to have c log. Anyways would you be kind enough to show high res examaple? Im still deciding between g9 and eventually gh5s combo or get the A7Riii + lenses which equals out to the same price roughly
+Lifescape As fae as I konw there isn't anything similar to magic lantern or open memories for Panasonic. It would be really nice if some knew how to remove recording limit for example.
Hello there. Thanks for the videos. The Panny G9 and this lens is available as good price here as combo in UK. I have never used a Panasonic but I have used an Olympus OM-D EM10 Mk2. How would you compare the performance of the G9 sensor compared to the older gen Em10mk2? How is the AF compared to the Em10mk2? I love the MFT lenses. How does this combo perform for HDR landscape and portraits in low light? If I buy this combo, I will also need a versatile prime. Which one do you suggest?
I haven't used Olympus cameras that much, so I cant compare those. If you want to upgrade, I definitely recommend getting something with larger sensor. M43 system is quite obsolete in 2021.
Hy ,Do you know if G9 model got HDMI LIVE mode and keep sending video signal trough the HDMI out put during filming ? ( My DMC-FZ300 LUMIX shutdown the monitor and give me a nice black window !!! ) PS : Same limitation on GH7
I have an LX100, which I love (for about 18 months now). Would the G9 be a good upgrade as I want to improve my photography, or is the step too small to consider the investment worthwhile?
Mark Lewis The G9 is an outstanding camera, very user friendly, and would be a nice upgrade from the LX100. However, the G9 is much larger so be aware of that. You might also consider the GX9, which the Hybrid Shooter has also reviewed.
I am liking the ruggedness of my G9 as well! My old d5600 died because it got wet from raining. But with the weather sealing, I think I can be less worried. (though I should still be careful)
Thanks! I still want the GH5s more.... My new dream camera. If you make the review of it, that would be super awesome. Good luck with your channel, you deserve many more subs!
Hi Will. Thanks for the review on the G9. I saw you want camera questions sent here rather than email, so here goes: I am debating between a G9 and GH5 right now. I do 90% video which would normally have made the GH5 the sure way to go, but with the G9 2.0 firmware and 400 cheaper (where I live) it is very difficult to decide. It seems the VFR on GH5 is higher quality and obviously also higher bitrate. However, my frequent use would be 4K 60p and 1080 120p with most time spent in 1080 422 24p and 60p. Knowing this, can you recommend camera over another?
@@TheHybridShooter Thanks for the quick reply! A follow up question please: Why is the GH5 better for Slow motion? According to my reading, it seems the two cameras are identical with firmware 2.0 but G9 has better Dynamic range, AF and color science (can you confirm?). As far as the majority of video options the two also seem identical now (minus the ALL-I and C4K on GH5). Is this true?
Do you know if the G9 will do continuous autofocus for recording to an external HDMI connected device ? The G85 will only do continuous autofocus while it is recording internally, but the GH5 will do continuous autofocus regardless of wether or not recording internally.
Thanks for that advice , the last camera I did own was the first Panasonic micro camera , I think it was the g1 , that was quite a few years ago now , but even that camera was very , very good ! And the g9 presumably would be light years better than the g1 .
Hello, thanks for your reviews. I currently own Olympus EM5 mark2 and have all Olympus lenses ; 25mm f1.2, 12-40 f2.8 ,75mm f1.8, 45mm f1.8. I think it's about time for me to update my camera and EM1 mk2, G9, and GH5 are on my list. I shoot 70% stills but want to learn and get better at videos too. What would you recommend?
You're welcome, out of those I would choose the G9 for your purposes, because it is oriented mainly on the still but it has very good video futures at the same time.
Lately I have been reconsidering my purchase of G85 and if I should went with a6500 instead. The thing I miss in G85 is better slowmotion, autofocus and a bit better lowlight
QUESTION: Can G9 record let's take(start recording) 6min in 4k60fps (stop recording)and then let's take I walk further and click start rec in 4k60fps for next 6min. Can I DO THAT?
Do you find that the high resolution mode reduces noise? Im curious since it stitches several different pics together to make that high res mode if it performs even better with higher ISOs than regular mode. Just ordered my G9. Hope to have it soon.
Great review. I need to save for a new camera, my o-md e-m5 just broke, stuck shutter. And just after I'd bought 25mm, 45mm and 75mm prime lenses for it!!!
I can't wait for the comparison video with the g85/g80. The g80/g85 kit costs me €715 and the g9 body with older 12-60mm will cost me €1650. I want to know if the g9 is worth the (almost) €1000 extra..
Me too! I have the G80 & generally it is a great camera at a reasonable price. It is quite a step up to the G9, GH5 and now the GH5s. I mainly spent my money on the top quality Panasonic, Olympus & Leica lenses.
Steve Ferneyhough I have already spoken to a lot of g80 users and some even send me their pictures with the g80. All of them said that the g9 is a great camera but the price is a bit too much. So now I hope that this review will cover everything so my choice will become clear ;)
The Hybrid Shooter I'm sure I won't and thanks. It's going to take months to film because one of my subjects isn't where I am and I want some summer shots.
Thanks, do you know what is the cool down time between videos? As the g9 is limited to 10 min 4k60 and 30min 4k30 what happens after the camera stops the recording at that limit, can you start the recording right away or do you have to wait (how long)?
hey bro, love your reviews and would appreciate your help, i currently use a g85/80 and i use it to shoot music videos however, continuous AF is important in order to get specific shots in music videos and as you already know it is unreliable on the g85/80, i am thinking of upgrading to the G9 or GH5, which one would you suggest?
thank for coming back so quick, im in the UK and im guessing your G9 and the one i purchase here would have the same restrictions, what are the recording limits on the G9? 4k and 1080 please.
I would like to see another video about the g9 autofocus in video. For example if the autofocus can lock on and follow someone riding a bicycle. Or side by side g9 vs a6500 af test in video. Thank you and as always keep up the good work
i own a g85...would you recommend upgrading to a g9? I shoot both video and still...but find myself taking more stills than videos as of late... I also own the 12-35 f2.8 ii and the 35-100 f2.8 ii....
I will make separate comparison of G9 and G85, G9 is significantly better than G85 in every way expect for portability and price, although G85 is still very capable camera.
I just found out the G9 doesn't let manual exposure control in 120fps and 180fps recording modes? Also, is it possible to select 120fps or is it 60fps or 180fps? If that's true, then it's decided I'll get the GH5 over the G9. Can you confirm this? Thanks!
Yes it is true, those are those limitations that I have talked about, you can choose 48, 50, 60, 150 and 180 fps. Slow-mo on GH5 also has very limited use, it is just VFR not a true 180 fps, no AF or sound recording for example, not sure about the exposure, make sure to get all information about it it is important for you.
It has manual exposure control in VFR on the GH5, I've already used it but never tried out a G9. Not having sound is not an issue for me when shooting more than 50fps, neither autofocus. But not having manual exposure control is deal breaker.
Yes, it sure does! Wow, what an upgrade over the G7, I was really surprised by the quality feel and shots and overall responsiveness compared to the Lumix G7 which I use heavily. Thanks so much for your great review and keep up the great content!
So I bought the G9 and it's great but one annoying thing I have found it the Ev comp can only be set manually if the iso is in auto even in manual photo mode.
Well, that is how exposure compensation works. It changes one of the settings (ISO, shutter speed or aperture) to make the image brighter of darker, so it cannot work with fully manual settings on any camera.
@@TheHybridShooter yes this is true but in my testing when doing a time-lapse it adjusted the exposure during the middle of it. Lucky it was only 2 pictures and I fixed it in post. Just would like full control of iso and ev. Like when in video mode you can but not in picture mode. Little annoying that's all
@@AerialSnapshots I don't really understand. The camera can't change the exposure with fully manual settings, and the exposure compensation also cannot work because camera can't change any settings to make the image brighter or darker. You can only use exposure compensation in fully automatic or semi-automatic modes like aperture priority or shutter speed priority, or with Manual and auto ISO. Weather you shoot still or video makes no difference.
@@TheHybridShooter so I have found that if I have set the shutter speed, aperture, and iso with spot metering in the centre the Ev can change during a sequence of photos. All I want to do is turn off Manual Exposure Assistance. Is that possible?
You're welcome, but keep in mind that this video is quite outdated. Also take a look at my Fuji X-S10 review, that is a better option at the moment: ua-cam.com/video/Kdoc2Vp79ZI/v-deo.html
No a vraj by zrovna ten objektov neodporúčal .
When I was shopping for a camera, this one I really liked, but it's more than €1500 in my country and I couldn't afford it. Americans are very lucky with the prices of electronics there :)
Five months ago I sold my A7III and Tamron 28-75... and went back to my old Canon gear. I never got used to Sony interface and feeling. It was just an accurate machine, but it had no soul. With half the money I got for the lens I bought a new G7 to get familiar with MFT. There is a noticeable difference between the G7 and my A7III (A7III is superior in every way), but the user experience is far better with G7...so now I'm seriously considering G9 as it seems to have an improved picture quality. The main advantage is the size of lenses, Sony lenses were super expensive and the good ones were actually quite big.
The joy stick. You say the grip is very deep. I notice you have large hands, but for us ladies who have much smaller hands, other reviewers have noted that the joy stick is too far away to reach with ease.
I would get these if they could switch between PAL/NTSC like the GH5/GH5s. No idea why Panasonic limits them to NTSC only, it ruins the camera for people like myself who travel to countries where the light are 50hz.
The Hybrid Shooter Hrmm I wonder if it’s the same for G9s sold in the USA. I’ll try to find out, that would be great news if 25/50p are also available.
Yes, I'm sure, both PAL and NTSC frame rates (25p and 60p) are even used in this video, even my G80 which is European version can shoot in all 24, 25, 30, 50 and 60p ua-cam.com/video/0NIQZyhgh4w/v-deo.htmlm58s it is the same on my G9.
This camera has a recording limit of just 30 minutes, which is very bad when I'm filming long-term events, and it also heats up a lot. The camera is excellent for photography, but for working with videos of event and long interviews, it is very bad because of the recording time limit of 30 minutes, and the camera turns off every 10 or 30 minutes.
@@TheHybridShooter You are very important influencers, what you say has a lot of credibility, so you also need to talk about the weaknesses of the camera or the product you are analyzing.
Yeah, it probably is worth considering. People were actually asking for more bulky MFT cameras because of the handling. G9 and even G85 are anything but plasticy with that magnesium body. Hopefully the GX9 will be out soon as more compact variant of G9.

Thank you, yes, the G9 is definitely a very good upgrade over the GH4. If you use steadycam and IBIS togeather, it is even smoother.
Thanks for an intelligent run-down.
Yes, at the long end of the 100-400mm on fast e-shutter the rolling shutter effect is bad.
You're welcome, yes, it is better to use mechanical shutter on hose very long focal lengths.
There are high-res samples in this video at 14:54
Hello there.
Excellent review! Extremely detailed and concise! Thanks so much!
You're welcome, thank you for watching!
Great review! I would love to see a comparison between the Panasonic G9 and the Olympus OMD EM1 mark II
Thank you, I unfortunately don't hanve EM1 Mark II so I can't do that.
I completely understand. Thank you!
While browsing for more info about G9, I've found this great video...shot in Bratislava! Instant like+subscribe!
Ďakujem pekne!
Great review and nice watch collection.
Do you know if it does 6K(5k) Video like the GH5? Thanks
Thank you, no, it does not shoot 6K anamorphic.
The Hybrid Shooter thanks for the quick response!
The Hybrid Shooter it has 6K photo so it has 6K video in 4:3 or 3:2. No anamorphic of course.
6K has very limited use, I don't consider it a video mode.
its a good review. please show more the grip holding the camera, cause thatsa big deal improvement
I am liking the ruggedness of my G9 as well! My old d5600 died because it got wet from raining. But with the weather sealing, I think I can be less worried. (though I should still be careful)
Yes, that is true, the weather sealing can be very useful if you have to shoot in rain.
Great review! G9 over the GH5 for UA-camrs? Wow.
Thank you, yes, I would say so, unless the unlimited recording is a necessity.
Thanks! I still want the GH5s more.... My new dream camera. If you make the review of it, that would be super awesome. Good luck with your channel, you deserve many more subs!
Thank you, I will try my best to get GH5s for review from local Panasonic office, maybe I will have some luck with that.
Both have different advantages, it if you intend to use a lot of slow motion video, I recommend GH5.
It think that it can autofocus while connected via HDMI, but I can't test it.
Excellent review - well organized, insightful. Good photo and video samples. Thanks for making this video.
You're welcome, thank you for watching!
Nice set-up pal.
Excellent review. I hope to buy one in a few months.
Thank you, you won't be disappointed.
This is my next camera , having not owned one for some time , I'm hugely looking forward to it !
It is a great camera, you will not be disappointed.
Thanks for that advice , the last camera I did own was the first Panasonic micro camera , I think it was the g1 , that was quite a few years ago now , but even that camera was very , very good ! And the g9 presumably would be light years better than the g1 .
What about the Mrk II version???
Hello, thanks for your reviews.
I currently own Olympus EM5 mark2 and have all Olympus lenses ; 25mm f1.2, 12-40 f2.8 ,75mm f1.8, 45mm f1.8.
I think it's about time for me to update my camera and EM1 mk2, G9, and GH5 are on my list. I shoot 70% stills but want to learn and get better at videos too. What would you recommend?
You're welcome, out of those I would choose the G9 for your purposes, because it is oriented mainly on the still but it has very good video futures at the same time.
The Hybrid Shooter thanks for your response. G9 would be still good even if I have all Olympus lenses? Would AF speed and accuracy still be fine?
I haven't tested Olympus lenses on the G9 yet, but according to the reviews the AF is still faster than on EM-1 Mk. II even with Olympus lenses.
Best G9 review yet! -thanks
You're welcome, thank you for watching!
Great review, can't wait for comparison with Sony a6500 and G85
Thank you, will do my best to make it as soon as possible.
Lately I have been reconsidering my purchase of G85 and if I should went with a6500 instead. The thing I miss in G85 is better slowmotion, autofocus and a bit better lowlight
+Branimir Vidovic Thank you, comparisons will be coming soon.
QUESTION: Can G9 record let's take(start recording) 6min in 4k60fps (stop recording)and then let's take I walk further and click start rec in 4k60fps for next 6min. Can I DO THAT?
Yes, you can start new 4K60P recording immediately after one finishes, I have tested that for 4 following 10 min. clips without any problem.
Do you find that the high resolution mode reduces noise? Im curious since it stitches several different pics together to make that high res mode if it performs even better with higher ISOs than regular mode. Just ordered my G9. Hope to have it soon.
If you use same export size you will see less noise because of the noise compression, so in the end it does.
Great review. I need to save for a new camera, my o-md e-m5 just broke, stuck shutter. And just after I'd bought 25mm, 45mm and 75mm prime lenses for it!!!
Thank you, the G9 would be very good replacement IMO.
It is very similar to the Olympus EM1mk2. I'm wondering how the compare.
So am I, unfortunately I don't have EM1 Mark II, so I can't compare it.
I can't wait for the comparison video with the g85/g80. The g80/g85 kit costs me €715 and the g9 body with older 12-60mm will cost me €1650. I want to know if the g9 is worth the (almost) €1000 extra..
I will make that soon, although it is always relative if something is worth the extra money.
Me too! I have the G80 & generally it is a great camera at a reasonable price. It is quite a step up to the G9, GH5 and now the GH5s. I mainly spent my money on the top quality Panasonic, Olympus & Leica lenses.
Steve Ferneyhough
I have already spoken to a lot of g80 users and some even send me their pictures with the g80. All of them said that the g9 is a great camera but the price is a bit too much. So now I hope that this review will cover everything so my choice will become clear ;)
Great. I get good video & stills from the G80. I usually shoot with a bit flatter profile (either Natural or Cinelike V) and that works well for me.
Steve Ferneyhough
Do you have any samples? On flickr or 500px? Kinda curious :)
Hi Shooter. Nice review! Like to see more ...
Thank you, will make more video soon.
Best G9 review until now
Thank you!
I'm going on a g9 video spree right now. I really want this camera and I'm going to get it and shoot my first full vlog documentary with it.
You will not be disappointed. Looking forward to you vlog documentary!
There is no cool down time, you can start shooting next clip immediately.
thanks!! wow really? Now I need to invent a mechanism t that will press the shutter button again when that Happens..
Hopefully someone will come with some hack like open memories for sony one day.
4K is 10minutes recording limit for 50p or as well for 25p? 🤔
10 min for 4K 60p and 50p, 30 min for 4K 24, 25, 30 fps.
The Hybrid Shooter
So what happens after 10 mins? how long do you need to wait to record again?
UlTrApLeX good question! :) let’s wait to see what hybrid shooter says
It stops the recording, you can immediately start another recording, camera is not even warm after 10 min of 4K60p
So that means it's just a limitation they decided to put for no hardware limitations reason?
Hello friend. Would love to see an updated review taking the new 2.0 firmware into account.
I don't have the G9 anymore, so I am not able to do that.
Hi! Thanks for the video! One question, recording at 4k(30 or 60p) there is crop sensor?
You're welcome, there is no crop in any video recording mode.
Nice videoshot, because using sony a6500
Buying g9 and my old gx85 as b cam, is it worth it for the next +5 years for g9 values?
I would say no, having proper PD autofocus system is IMO a must in 2024 and beyond.
Great video, thank you.
You're welcome, thank you for watching!
How does it compare to Sony a6500?
I have made video about that ua-cam.com/video/C8SU-fS67Yw/v-deo.html&list=PLXAOglgekGtsvJVXsDwGBzoYZZFjFQAnx&index=1
What camera did you use to shoot this video? shallow DOF field is awesome.
I have used Sony A6500, all of the equipment is listed in the description.

hey bro, love your reviews and would appreciate your help, i currently use a g85/80 and i use it to shoot music videos however, continuous AF is important in order to get specific shots in music videos and as you already know it is unreliable on the g85/80, i am thinking of upgrading to the G9 or GH5, which one would you suggest?
If you need reliable continuous AF, G9 is much better than GH5.
thank for coming back so quick, im in the UK and im guessing your G9 and the one i purchase here would have the same restrictions, what are the recording limits on the G9? 4k and 1080 please.
10 minutes in 4K 60p, 30 minutes in all other modes.
Thanks bro!!
I would like to see another video about the g9 autofocus in video. For example if the autofocus can lock on and follow someone riding a bicycle. Or side by side g9 vs a6500 af test in video. Thank you and as always keep up the good work
Thank you, will do that in the future.
Your Reviews are fantastic, i like it. Abo!
Thank you, I appreciate it!
i own a g85...would you recommend upgrading to a g9? I shoot both video and still...but find myself taking more stills than videos as of late... I also own the 12-35 f2.8 ii and the 35-100 f2.8 ii....
I will make separate comparison of G9 and G85, G9 is significantly better than G85 in every way expect for portability and price, although G85 is still very capable camera.
i am torn on either g9 or gh6... what would you suggest?
I don't recommend either, to be honest.

Question: does the G9 spot meter at the centre of the sensor or is it flexible with the focus area?
Both modes are available.
Thanks for the reply. That's a good function to have.
Thanks for that. Can you shoot video through the viewfinder; you can't in the Canon 80D?
Mike in Oz
You're welcome, yes you can, G9 is mirorless camera.
What would the G9 be better at stills than the GH5?
Yes, G9 is better for stills.
Excellent video! Thank you very much!
You're welcome, thank you for watching!
Thx for review
You're welcome!
Good review on the G9.
Thank you!
The press to reset is a welcome feature coming from Canon. 😁
It sure is a very useful function.
Practicalbuilds thanks for the info but i don’t use Pentax.
Practicalbuilds ok 👍
Did you buy your g9 at the time where Panasonic has given us a free batterygrip... Or did you have to buy it seperat... ?
Yes, I should get free battery grip from Panasonic.
But now it is to late... :(
Yes, it unfortunately is.
Can anyone tell me if the G9 can output HDMI while recording video? I can't find any info on this anywhere... much appreciated!
Yes, it can.
@@TheHybridShooter Thank you so much for verifying this!!!
Yes, it sure does! Wow, what an upgrade over the G7, I was really surprised by the quality feel and shots and overall responsiveness compared to the Lumix G7 which I use heavily. Thanks so much for your great review and keep up the great content!
@@Techspin You're welcome!
Very comprehensive and complete review of this camera. Thank you! This will be my first new camera since purchasing my Nikon F3. I'm so old! :-)
Thank you, I hope that you will like it!
Please compare it with A6500
Will do that soon.
Ahoj, odkiaľ si? Modra?
Zdravím, som z Pezinka.
Its form factor is reminiscent of the original Nikon D3, when Nikon offered a switch, button and wheel for everything.
I don't think so, Nikon D3 uses completely different body style.
This camera is small, thanks god the battery grip is well made. I hate the battery grips from canon showing the gear on the front side.
Yes, Panasonic did pay attention to the details this time.
In height and width it's about the same as my old Pentax K3 and given the grip it's 15mm deeper. It's by no means a small camera in my view.
So helpful, tha!

Incredible value camera. Ergonomics are just outstanding. Remains a overall standout in 2021.
It is still a good camera, but I wouldn't say that any M43 camera is outstanding by 2021 standards.
It’s 10 minutes limit at 4K 50/60 I believe
Yes, it is.
Hack it.
When I was shopping for a camera, this one I really liked, but it's more than €1500 in my country and I couldn't afford it. Americans are very lucky with the prices of electronics there :)
Where do you live? You can get for 1400€ with 25mm and 42.5mm lenses for free in Europe.
I live in Bulgaria. Here is 1500 (the equivalent in local currency that is) without a lens, just the body.
I'm so in doubt betwen this G9 and the A7 III
I would say that I have medium size hands, it is definitely good idea to try the handling before buying the G9, to see whether it works for you.
Stuck red pixels on censor ua-cam.com/video/-TWj_RHDbp8/v-deo.htmlm21s Maybe it's better to change your camera by guarantee?
That picture was shot in high-res mode with pixel shift, so it probably some processing issue, didn't find red pixel on regular photo.
I would get these if they could switch between PAL/NTSC like the GH5/GH5s. No idea why Panasonic limits them to NTSC only, it ruins the camera for people like myself who travel to countries where the light are 50hz.
As far as I know there is only one version of G9 that has both NTSC and PAL frame rates, it can shoot both 25, 50 and 24, 30, 60 fps.
Really? Because I'm looking at the B&H website and it just lists NTSC frame rates. Your version can switch back and forth?
There is no switching, all frame rates are available all the time in the menu and quick menu on mine G9.
A bit disappointed with only 9FPS on mechanical shutter.
Since there is almost no rolling shutter while using electronic shutter at 20 FPS, I don't mind it at all. 9FPS is still plenty fast.
Oh my bad! I just noticed it shoots 12fps in single AF, not bad!

dreammyyy
you do like watches, huh?
+saiiiiiii1 Yes, I sure do.
Well, that is not a secret, it has been that way for almost 5 years...
@@TheHybridShooter That's true, thank you.

It's cameras like this that could drive me over to the m43-sensors! Now if only Panasonics cameras weren't so plasticy and bulky...
Yeah, it probably is worth considering. People were actually asking for more bulky MFT cameras because of the handling. G9 and even G85 are anything but plasticy with that magnesium body. Hopefully the GX9 will be out soon as more compact variant of G9.
I love my G85 except for the focus during video recording! Definitely not cheaply made.
Rusty Zipper I have the GX8 and the focusing on 4k video is not very good I'm thinking of going for a Sony A6500.
