Now she just buys tortilla chips and she puts the sauce inside a pot to soften them. However, my friend’s mom dips the whole tortilla in sauce and cuts them up into four pieces. So it just depends on the person.

11:42 I'd say Churros because they are made with wheat flour and cinnamon twists are made with wheat flour(I think) as well. Chicharrón is fried pork skin. Churros are deep fried and sometimes accompanied with chocolate syrup. They are crunchy on the outside but also softer on the inside and they are a dessert. Curiously, there is something called chicharrón preparado, which is a botana(a salty snack) where you have this crunchy flat shell and you put tomato, lettuce, cheese, avocado, crema mexicana, ect... This on the other hand isn't made with pork skin, it's a wheat product base.

Technically, nachos are Mexican. The nacho was invented by Ignacio Anaya, in a Piedras Negras, Coahuila Mexican restaurant called La Casa Blanca. They used to call them Ignacio’s Special. Later they just shortened it to Nachos. Nacho is short for Ignacio. Piedras Negras is right across the border from my hometown Eagle Pass, Tx. Every year, they hold the Nacho festival on the border.

I like how Americans always pursue “the real and authentic thing”, but then go to Mexico and hire a guide that misinform the shit out of them, all of this just to go back and talk like they know how shit works because they went to Mexico, but in reality they just repeat what the guide told them.
Sorry for the hate but I got pissed off by some comments, like calling flautas “tacos dorados”, or saying something is not a thing in Mexico just because the one city that you went to, doesn’t have it.

The original taco bell taco is not a taco, that’s a folded tostada lmao I’ve tried it and it’s not bad, you just have forget the fact that they call it a taco 🤣🤣 flour tortillas are a thing in Mexico and are mostly popular in the north, nachos exist, chilaquiles are usually cooked in the sauce, dessert empanadas are a thing… you have to realise Mexico is very big, Mexico is 4 times bigger than Spain, 5 times bigger than England, 7 times bigger than Italy… there’s so much diversity.

Hope you enjoyed the express trip!!! very nice video.
    - 3:01 ¨This is the real guacamole¨ - My dude you´ve been played by the taquero tricks! That is a simile to guacamole that taqueros make using zuchinni in the mix, delicious too but ya can´t say it´s guacamole either.
    - If you have a hard time saying Chilaquiles, say "Chill-a-killers"
    - 5:23 We also like movie theater nachos!
    - Casa de Toño sopes are like sopes on steroids no wonder you thought they were pizza size, they are delicios but more the size of a gordita than any other street sope, which is about 50% it´s size.
    - If you want a mexican pizza you might go for a Tlayuda in Oaxaca.
    - Chalupas are found in puebla, its a small tortilla fried in lard, not to the point of a tostada, it has to be like half soft and half hard,
    - Smothered burritos are chimichangas which is American, is different to enchilada since its a full burrito, an enchilada has way less meat or even can be empty or filled with cheese plus burritos have flour tortilla, enchiladas are made with corn tortilla.

I just found out about this video, is there a part 2?
There are actually "Mexican pizzas in Mexico" and they are not sopes. I'm glad to see you were so invested in learning and trying new things, love it!
Burritos are Mexican, but they are from northern Mexico, originally from Chihuahua.
For empanadas try Pastes in Hidalgo, they are a local delicacy, there are sweet and salty pastes.
