They really picked the best of the best for this project. EXO Kai being one of the best dancers in kpop chosen by other idols, EXO Baekhyun being one of the best vocalists of kpop and I think the most successfull soloist (like come on, did you hear that high note?), SHINee Taemin being an icon, idol of idols, Michael Jackson of kpop (his solos are a must-see by the way) and NCT members: Taeyong and Mark being their best rappers, Ten being the dance god of NCT and WayV and Lucas, who is probably one of the most recognized members of NCT and WayV
SuperM is really the actual avengers of Kpop which their powerful comeback always proves..
Them having all my biases and the super talented members from each groups and debuting together was really something unexpected, so SuperM is literal blessing for me..
Also I'll suggest you to check out their *"Tiger inside"* MV, It's another BOP (masterpiece) 🙌

SuperM members come from 3 groups represented by the same major label (SM) = EXO, SHINee, and NCT. Each member also has great solo work in addition to their work with their usual groups and SuperM. "Tiger Inside" is the next video I would suggest for SuperM. You haven't revisted SHINee in a while - you might like "Don't Call Me" a lot (it is one of their most recent songs). That's exactly what they wre going for "Avengers of Kpop" because they took the extremely good (some would dare to say the best) of the current most popping yong/er boy groups in SM and made this Group catering to the West. And I hate to say it works/ed.

Yay !!! I'm so glad you loved it !!!! The next one you want to watch is "One (Monster & Infinity)" by SuperM. The music video is amazing. Awesome vocals...high notes...rap...video quality. It also feels like a freaking superhero movie. LOL. The members are Taemin from Shinee, Kai and Baekhyun from Exo, Lucas and TEN from Wavy, and Mark and Taeyong from NCT.
This was my introduction to K-pop 3 years ago… down the rabbit hole I went since that… 🤣
SuperM was created by SM Entertainment in collaboration with Capitol Records in Los Angeles, California. This group features 7 of the best of the best when it comes to dance, vocals, rap and performance in Kpop. The members of SuperM are some of the top artists from SM's most popular groups. As you know, Baekhyun who is one of the best vocalist in the industry and Kai who is one of the top 2 dancers in the industry are from EXO; Taemin is the other top dancer in the industry with one of the most well respected solo careers and he is a member of the legendary group SHINee (Taemin is considered the Michael Jackson of Korea); Taeyong is the leader of NCT and he is known for his dancing and rapping and Mark is the main rapper from NCT-U/NCT-127; and Ten is the main dancer and lead vocalist and Lucas is a rapper and visual of NCT-U/WayV.
SuperM debuted in the U.S. in October 2019, so that is why all of their main track songs are mostly in English, because, as their debut song, "Jopping" was meant to by their foyer into the U.S. music market, and all their other songs are supposed to build on that.
SuperM are considered the Avengers of Kpop because the group is so multi-talented, with some of the most influential idols in the industry, representing multiple nationalities and Kpop generations, who are poised to take over the world.
Mark is Korean-Canadian, so his native language is English. And WayV is the Chinese sub-unit of NCT, so not only does Ten and Lucas speak Korean and English, but they also speak Mandarin. Ten also speaks Thai because he is from Thailand and Lucas speaks Cantonese because he is from Hong Kong and a little Thai because his mom is Thai. And although, Baekhyun, Kai, Taemin and Taeyong are all native Korean, they also speak many other languages. For example, Taemin and his group SHINee are very popular in Japan, so he is fluent in Japanese as well.
Baekhyun is the leader and the oldest member who is currently 29. Mark is the youngest at 22. However, Taemin is the one with the most seniority in the group. Taemin is only 28 years old, but he debuted 4-10 years before any of the other members of SuperM. Taemin debuted as a member of SHINee in 2008 when he was 14 years old, so he is a super senior member of the group. In other words, as part of the hierarchy of respect, Taemin is the one everyone looks up to. Which, might be why Taemin was chosen to play such a major role within the group's storyline, and why we have seen him prominently featured in almost everything to do with SuperM.
The concept for SuperM is supposed to be like the Avengers, so I see it as each of the members are a different kind of superhero that make up the larger "Avengers" group. Just like how the Marvel Avenger members come together from all walks of life with all different abilities and powers, etc. to make up one big supergroup.
I think the concept of the group all stems from EXO's concept and storyline. As you know, the members of EXO are all supposed to be aliens from Planet Exo, and each of the members has a superpower that is specific to them. From day one, EXO's story has been that they were sent to Earth on a mission to find and protect the Tree of Life from the Red Force, while also trying to fix all the things that are going wrong in the world, which are thought to be caused by the Red Force. As a member of EXO, Baekhyun has the power to control light and Kai has the power of teleportation, so those powers are nothing new for them -- you see Kai teleport at the beginning of "Jopping" and you see Baekhyun using his light power as the car speeds away, etc. However, the concept of superpowers is new for all the other SuperM members. (You will see the other member's special powers and abilities if you check out all of their teaser trailer videos which were originally released leading up to the release of "Jopping.")
Therefore, I think because Kai and Baekhyun are part of the group, SuperM's storyline is tied to EXOs storyline. I think SuperM are supposed to be coming together to fight the Red Force and to prevent or stop the Red Force from corrupting and taking over the world, etc.
And just like the Marvel Avengers members each have their own Superhero story, when they come together to form The Avengers they combine their stories and concepts and weave elements of each of the member's backstories into The Avengers storyline. I see SM Entertaiment doing the same thing with SuperM.
Also, just like how the Marvel Avengers come together to combine their strengths and powers to help fight Thanos, I see parallels with what SM is doing with SuperM's storyline. SuperM is taking members from each group and joining forces to take down the Red Force. And just like how the movies "Avengers Identity War" and "Avengers Endgame" eventually had each of the Marvel Avengers members recruiting their whole crew to help in the fight, I think SM is setting it up so that all of its groups' members will eventually be brought into the fight.
And although NCT and SHINee don't have a backstory that has anything to do with being Superheroes in the same way as EXO does, I find it interesting that, for example, NCT and WayV have songs called "Superhuman" and "Take Off" which both have sort of superhero type themes in their MVs, and one of Ten's solo songs is called "New Heroes". With what I know about SM, it wouldn't surprise me if this is something they have had in the works for a really long time and they probably have been creating ways to foreshadow things to come in SuperM that create connections between the members and their original groups. One thing SM has mastered since the creation of EXO, is how to tell a story and how to create a mystery that connects even the most minute of details together to build an epic adventure for fans.
SuperM's storyline is already connected to EXO's storyline, and I think SM may be working on expanding the story to its other groups, in the same way that "The Avengers" connects all the individual superheroes' stories when they come together to form The Avengers.
If the SuperM Avengers are coming together to help EXO stop the Red Force, I think the members who are part of SuperM are the liaisons who are helping to connect all the groups -- EXO, Taemin/SHINee, NCT and WayV -- together. For example, right after SuperM released "Jopping," WayV came out with their MV for "Moonwalk" and I think the story in their "Moonwalk" MV is a continuation of "Jopping's" storyline, and now I think WayV's "Turn Back Time" and "Kick Back" MVs are also part of that story.
There are parts of several of WayV's MVs, such as "Moonwalk," where it looks as though Ten and Lucas are there to gather the members to bring them into the battle, and in "Turn Back Time" it looks like the WayV members are all beat up like they have been in a fight, which means they could have been in a battle with the Red Force, etc.
To help explain, I think EXO, as members of SuperM, are working with the other "Avengers" members to try and stop X-EXO. If you pay attention to what Kai and Baekhyun are wearing in "Jopping," their outfits are very similar to the all black outfits they are wearing in EXO's "Obsession " MV -- Kai even wears the same parachute backpack in both MVs -- which seems to indicate then that the version of Kai and Baekhyun in SuperM are the EXO members who are the good guys. Because in "Obsession" the members in all black are supposed to be EXO and the members in the colorful outfits with the crazy hair and makeup are the X-EXO members who have been created by the Red Force.
So on that note, I think people need to pay attention to all of the storylines with all of SM's groups, because I think at least all of SM's third and fourth generation groups' MVs and storylines are being designed to connect stories and plots. Each group has their own individual storyline and concept, but when you put them all together, there are threads of connection between the groups. And that includes EXO, Red Velvet, NCT/WayV, aespa and maybe even Taemin's solo work, and possibly even SHINee. Even though SHINee are second gen., the members actually are around the same age as the members of third generation groups, so they sort of bridge that gap between 2nd and 3rd gen.
And now I see connections being made with SHINee's most recent "Don't Call Me" and "Atlantis" MVs, as well as all of aespa's MVs and many of NCT's MV -- including NCT-127's "Save" MV, etc.-- and even SM's older groups, such as Kangta's "Free To Fly" MV, Super Junior's "House Party" MV and Max Changmin from TVXQ's solo "Devil" MV, etc. It is becoming clear that SM is designing the SM Universe to include all of its groups and it is tying all of their storylines together.
For instance, if you watch SHINee's "Don't Call Me" MV you will see the SHINee members at one point go through some sort of wormhole as they are teleported somewhere and we see them all standing together in all black outfits. This looks very similar to the scene in "Jopping" when the SuperM members are coming together at the beginning of the MV as they are teleported or travel through the wormhole. So, it looks like maybe SHINee are preparing to eventually join in the fight as well.
It's all part of SM's SM Culture Universe storyline.

SM really are known for their vocals & putting this project together was a great idea but there were more cons than pros w/ the group. since the members comes from different groups, it was quite impossible for them to promote for a long time. all these members 1st priority would be their main groups/solos. & now 2 members actively enlisted in the military & another one is in hiatus. i think it will be a long while before we get to see new music from SuperM. pls check out EXO live performances if you're already impressed w/ Baekhyun's high note, there will lots more there. pls also check out SHINee & i think you have already reacted to NCT not sure if you seen WayV yet be sure to check them out as well.

SM also has a female equivalent of this type of super group called Girls on Top with acronym GOT (which I'm sure you can appreciate) that has Aespa members and Red Velvet members as well as Girls Generation and Solo icon BoA. Only one song so far under their belt (Step Back) but the talent ensemble is 👌

Your next ONE OK ROCK reaction needs to be "The Beginning" live at Yokohama stadium. This was the first time to perform at a stadium. It's also one of their most popular songs. It was written quite a few years before "We Are" was written.
I probably commented this like a million times already, but you seriously need to check out Taemin’s solo stuff. He’s a kpop pioneer and the role model of so many younger idols. SM Entertainment didn’t call him “their ACE” for nothing.

To understand the story and concept behind "Jopping" better, if you haven't already, you should watch the behind the scenes/making of video called "SuperM: The Story of Jopping." It's an official video on SuperM's UA-cam channel. It's one of the best behind the scenes Kpop shooting videos I have watched and it really helps to explain the concept and story behind the song and the group. It's well worth the 30-plus minute video. Please check it out, even if you don't react to it. :D
If you follow EXO's concept and storyline even a little, you know that SM doesn't do anything halfway. When they come up with a concept for a group they go all in and even the most minute of details are used to tell that story. SuperM is specifically designed to try to help SM grab even more of the U.S. market. That is why their debut and all of their promotions were focused in the U.S. If you notice, SuperM starts with S and ends with M -- SM.
The stadium/coliseum scenes were all filmed in Korea on a soundstage. But all the outdoor scenes were filmed in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates. So the desert and that cityscape were in Dubai -- it was all filmed live on location. And all those vehicles you see in the MV are real vehicles. Kai rode in the helicopter and Ten and Lucas filmed on that tank, etc. The scenes where you saw them driving the vehicles were in Dubai. They were drove by stuntmen, but they were all real working vehicles.
Just wait until you see them perform live at their debut concert at Capitol Records in California, you will be even more blown away.

superm is really out of this world, the thing they did with gathering such amazing boys...they knew what they were doing!! currently three members are in the military doing their service, but i really expect them to come back quickly and shake this world! + i didn't see you reacting to new WINNER's song called 'I love u' and i think you may like it cause it has a very interesting vibe to it and honestly very few bands are capable of pulling such a concept!

I was lucky enough to see super m in San Diego CA in 2019. They were soooooo worth the battle for tickets to a sold out concert all of the bumper to bumper traffic to get to event. It was worth it all the way around. I don't care when, I don't care where and I don't care how much it cost, if super m comes to the states again I am so there. They are LITERALLY called THE AVENGERS OF K-POP. They also had/have a collaboration with Marvel. ;)
They were also formed to cater to the West and debuted as a group in the US. So they are under SM Entertainment (Korea) and Capitol Records (USA) and this is their debut song.

They're the greatest male vocalists/rappers/dancers that SM Entertertainment has to offer, so that's they're jokingly called The Avengers of K-Pop. I know they appeared on Ellen Degeneres's talk show when Jopping first came out but they never took off the way I think SM was hoping they would. Still they're a strong group and they've got all the money SM has behind them.

I’m so glad you reacted to SuperM!!! Thankfully, I was introduced to this group through Taemin (my ULT group is SHINee and was my intro to K-pop). Anyhow, here’s some info about the group and the members:
In 2019, SM collaborated with Capitol Records, USA, and assembled a group of seven of the best artists in KPOP to debut in the USA: SuperM. In fact, they even collaborated with Marvel after having been dubbed the Avengers of KPOP. Taemin was the first chosen and helped pick the other six members. Though not the eldest member, he is the senior member of the group due to the length of time he’s been in the industry (14+ years). As such, he would have been leader, but he deferred that task to Baekhyun of the group EXO (who’s slightly older than Taemin). Taemin has been the maknae of SHINee his entire career and didn’t feel he would be best suited to lead the others. However, he is the center of the group and they ALL (including Baekhyun) defer to his experience and take his advice to heart. He is very caring towards his dongsaengs (juniors) and was nicknamed Taemresa (inspired by Mother Teresa). Baekhyun is an *amazing* leader, by the way…don’t want anyone to misunderstand my intentions behind what I’ve said. Their group dynamic is truly special.

From WayV and NCT U, solo through Label V, a long-awaited sub-unit with Hendery of WayV, and collab through Station 3. - Lead Rapper

baekhyun i love his voice and that high note, the pink hair, my daughter likes this song and him too, she's 7 she's a huge kpop fan, especislly to BTS and Stray Kids.
This song was their debut song, as they were deemed the Avengers of Kpop, and this mv showed just that. You can check out SuperM's mvs "100", "Tiger Inside" and "One/Infinity". SuperM members are going through military rotation, at least the ones of age (29 years old is the mandatory age to enlist by), but when they debuted, they toured the world and the States for several months. When the enlisted members come home, I hope for some more music from them until any other members have to enlist...I love their music and energy...but several members did do some solo music before enlisting. They do solo music apart from their original groups. Their priority is their group, but it's great to see their individual sounds when they make a solo album and mvs...those members are the oldest of SuperM..Taemin from SHINEE, and Baekhyun and Kai from EXO. Check out these mvs is you wish.."Danger" / Taemin..."Bambi" or "UN Village"/ Baekhyun..and "Film:Kai".
Taemin is inspired by MJ, Baekhyun is inspired by R&B, and a main vocalist in EXO, and Kai is the main dancer of EXO. Great music. "Film:Kai" is snippets of the songs on his first solo album. And "Bambi" in Korean means 'night rain'.

SuperM is a powerful SM unit for several reasons.
You need to know that they are the best in their groups as dancers, singers, rappers, visuals. My favorite is obviously TAEMIN, but it is on a different level as MJ kpopu has his own style and unique talent.
You should check out more SuperM and of course SHINee and the TAEMIN solo.
All I can say is this SM’s best dancers from NCT and EXO and of course you know Taemin form Shinee. Power group
