    This video will show you how to install new drum or parking brake shoes on your 2007-2012 Nissan Versa. For drum brakes and parking brakes, shoes will eventually need to be replaced. If you are overhauling your rear brake system, or just need to replace worn out shoes.

    Good luck doing this if you're also replacing the cylinder! It won't compress enough, even with the bleeder valve open!

    What they don’t tell you is the direction to spin the self adjuster, and that you probably will need bolts to push the drum off.
    If you end up getting bolts for the drums, they’re M8-1.25 (30mm or longer, no shanked bolts)

    I hope you're not a Class A licensed tech-- you missed several crucial steps-- you always check the cylinder boots -- pull them back to check for leaks or cracks on the inner boots, you always clean and test the springs, you clean the backing plate and cylinders thoroughly and you lube the e-brake mechanism. You also put antiseize or at least WD on the adjuster so the next person has an easier time. And they are called shoes, not pads, at least here in Canada. I got my license at Honda and they had very detailed procedures to prevent brake seize-up. It saves a lot of grief next time you work on that vehicle.
