i use UK british rail every day to work fare's are very expensive i spend £10 daily 17,000 naira.. Also Abuja trains are better design and cleaner for sure.. keep rising to the top Nigeria..

I can relate. I used to travel from Nottingham to Stamford via train return ticket of about £30. Train service is very expensive in UK .

It is also said that the lacation of the train station is far from residencial neighood and dificult to reach, hence you do not see lots of people taking advantage of the free ride. Abuja need massive bus transit system that works and coodinate with the trains that takes people to importanr locations like stadiums, malls, the airport and the whole metro.
People are riding with their cars and there is no traffic on the road that's why the metro is empty

The truth is that the train route is not the most busy route, but it is a gradual process.
It would eventually be extended this is just the first phase

l did not realize they've done that much on the kubwa line,which is the second phase as well,l always thought it's only the airport to city center line that is operational.Impressive indeed! It's a shame Nigerian leaders can not think,l would turn the side of the train route to a safari park on both side before people build house on that land.You can see lions, zebra and the gang on a metro ride to your destination.Something different that would attract people from across the world..Nice development,hope they complete the other phases,especially the one on the more busy routes.Thank you.
Yeah and they can add a sauna complete with a spa, hair salon, a massage parlour, and a fully equipped gym along the rail tracks.

Abuja is doing really well. Nice metro line, wide roads with no traffic jams, upcoming BRT system. My Nairobi is still in the doldrums. Happy for you guys.

Wike and his team should create an app for the metro service where all the services, including paying for rides online, generate barcodes to be scanned at the entrance for verification. The app will also be used in tracking movements, trip planners, etc
This is fabulous, let there be publicity about the Routes and most importantly the movement times schedules. GOD bless the govt that initiated and complete this great project

The Metro Link is beautiful and Clean. Unlike Metro Link in LA it is very Crowded. It made me claustrophobic because of bumping in to people heading home from Work.
Abuja had Metro before Lagos but was shutdown due to covid 19, it's not really a new metro
lol the building was shutdown bcos of Covid not fully operational. And it was abandoned after Covid… Wike and the President finished to this level .

Low patronage is cause because of the locations of the train stations. The stations targeted should have been those high population areas such as gwagwalada, kubwa, kuje, yahya

Did you ride in it all this while since 2019? Buhari's minister Bello Mohammed na scammer, he took the president on a ride from this central metro station to the Airport station, meanwhile all the other stations along the route had no access road, escalators and other amenities. How they expected passengers to get to the stations still beats my imagination, why won't the project fail? The tracks where later vandalized, Yet it was Commissioned, it is Wike who just constructed the access roads like the stadium station that was in the bush redundant😅 by now this new Govt should be building phase 2 of this rail project to link other parts of Abuja instead the vicious circle created by a former incompetent minister. See the great job Amaechi did on the Lagos-Ibadan, Abuja-Kaduna, Warri-Itakpe trains as Transport minister under same Buhari.
