Real 550RS Porsches were manufactured in 1954-55 and did not have the head faring. The head faring was introduced on the 550A, in 1956. Otherwise, that's a fairly accurate replica of a 550. Many years ago, one of my friends really did drive his REAL Porsche RSK Spyder, a later more exclusively race car type, up 5th Avenue in Manhattan.
I'm glad I got to ride in a red 356A back in the mid '70s. I had a Karmann Ghia at the time. We were on a parkway and another car was getting frisky with us. As we accelerated I kept wanting to shift where I would shift my Ghia, but he just wound that thing out right into the next gear's powerband and we just kept going and left him behind. I don't think I'll get that experience again. Cars were much more "real" then.
It's a good thing you didn't show this car being wrung out on a twisty road with engine noise as the soundtrack...that might have made me excited about driving one.
