Canteen Cup Cooking: Bacon, Eggs & Grits in the Pathfinder Cup

Today, in the Ground Pounder Mastering the Canteen Cup Cooking Series, we’re making a hearty breakfast of eggs, bacon, and grits, all cooked in a Pathfinder canteen cup. This will require you to keep a close eye on your heat levels and ensure the food is cooked in the proper order so everything is done at the same time and stays warm. Love this, Blackie! I was thinking about using the Real Bacon Bits (already crumbled & cooked) for a shelf stable option that would last for days in a pack. I use a STEEL pie pan for a plate when car camping & turn it upside down on the campfire when finished eating. Wipe out the ash. Clean and sterilized. Aluminum will melt doing the same.
