Emeka Ike and Genevieve really delivered to us a master piece in this movie. Their chemistry was so strong and effortlessly natural, as if they would have been a perfect match in real life. Genevieve however remained as she was in real life, was it a coincidence? Anyways, kudos to the legends.

our noise was too much and seems we were disturbing the shooting, then tchidi the director asked us to keep shut and stay at the back camera, more noise from us they send us away

It is criminal if this movie never won an award. One of the best I've watched with powerful lessons though I was in tears towards the end. Genevieve and Emeka really delivered and are simply fantastic in their roles. Well done guys for this masterpiece.

Lol back then there were no major movie awards like that. City People awards back then were only awarding politicians. Until later in either 2002 or 2003 I think they awarded Genevieve as best Actress. She was the 1st recipient of city people's Award now turned City people's entertainment Awards. Major Awards started with AMAA awards in 2005 whr Genevieve won best Actress
Omotola won best supporting Actress
Ramsey Nouah n RMD both won best actor n best supporting Actor respectively that yr. B4 the coming of Nigeria films award later.

I'm trying to think of a movie period that is as good ... as emotional ... as captivating ... and one in which anyone worldwide can relate. Imitation of Life .... To Sir With Love .... and I Know Why the Cage Bird Sings are the only three I can think of ... but this Beloved is strongest ... serving hatred bitter. The cast ... the story... the scenery ... the acting .... excellent. Excellent movie.
