Oh to be young again. My health began to fail big time when I turned 70. Now I can at least join you vicariously on your marvelous treks through God's country.
Same here. I was in Lappland seven summers, hiking in the National parks. Now its not realistic to carry the rucksack with a heavy load, although Erik demonstrates very light equipment. I would love to go back. My grown up kids have no interest though.
Dwight Turner Try a 100% clean diet - eat an all raw veg diet, no sugar, no carbs, no starch, no chemicals. Do whatever exercise you can daily. Also try water fasting. In a couple weeks on an all veg. diet you will start to feel better. 70 ain’t bad. Mine began to fail when I turned 50. I’ve been robbed.
How incredible it must be to live among the most beautiful landscapes on earth. My dream is to visit the Scandinavian countries one day. Erik, yours is by far my absolute favorite outdoor/hiking/backpacking channel on youtube. Thank you for the amazing content. Happy Holidays.
A real backpacking trip in all weather. There is beauty in those foggy, damp, desolate scenes. Your Hilleberg Akto is very similar to my Tarptent Moment DW. A good solo design. Inthat wet near-freezing weather I prefer fleece as an insulation rather than down. It is heavier but always feels dry.
Yet another well-orchestrated video Eric. Love the sound bites, the rain, the snow, the incredible scenery, moments in the tent, the balanced display of equipment, and of course, the magical holy moments! Epic through and through!
I've been watching your videos all day. I do not know which one I like the most. The one of today that I have commented this morning (on the wind whistle in the treetops) has seemed beautiful to me, but this one that I am seeing now seems nice to me also not only for its plasticity, but for its "heroism". The spaces and landscapes are spectacular. Your mountain clothes have to be of quality for sopportart such inclement weather. You are a genius!
A few more km north east Erik and you will get to one of my old stomping areas in Bodo. Back in the seventies when I was in the Air Force. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and those willing to put themselves out there, as you do.
You rock, Erik! With work and kids and other responsibilities, I can't get OUT out anymore. Just short day trips. I envy you, and I thank you for sharing your wonderful nature experiences.
My favorite backpacking treks have all been solo. There’s something to be said about being so far away from people in somewhere so beautiful all by yourself.
Erik, its a good movie. Surely, required a great effort to create it in wet and cold weather. Its magnificent view, yet eerie. And I miss your wooden coffee cup 😊
Two thumbs up from Wisconsin, USA. Those shelters were really awesome Eric! I wish I knew more about them. Thanks for sharing this beautiful adventure 🌲
Beautiful and very impressiv video. Two weeks before I was in Lapland too. I also crossed the border from Norway to Sweden and finally finished my trip in Riksgränsen. Hälsning Heini
Fantastic video. Loved the little yellow flower in the snow near the end. Beautiful. Should have pitched your tent on the border. Your head in Sweden and your feet in Norway :) Take care. Craig
Erik, you capture the moment and the feeling out there brilliantly. Keep on going. Next week I am heading to Padjelanta. Lets see what is the weather going to be by then...
Great video again. The rain really spoils things. If you have no way to dry your stuff it must be really difficult to keep your spirits up. Thank goodness for the holy moment.
Amazing! Went to Kiruna 2 years ago 26/10 and tried doing solo the Kungsleden but i did make halfway only cause of the weather. But i was sooo lucky to see the Northern lights without paying extra bucks:-)
Yeah that's a very late start. Hiking season is basically from June 26th to end of september, and skiing season in March and April. In between it's a challenge as I'm sure you noticed. ☺️
Hey ! Says the Canadian. You leave me breathless, with open mouth and a little drool hanging (get the picture) like i told you already, hook up my laptop to my widescreen hi-fi sound, i get blown out of my socks, it does punch when you ad the music after a silent solitude moment and the arctic images, with the glacier shot
Nice solo trek. The landscape around looks very similar to the ice cold Himalayan campsites. I have made similar videos of my Himalayan treks. Nice video :)
I enjoy your videos, especially the use of sounds. Normally I like only nature sounds but your addition of music and other sounds was effective in this video. Have you considered putting your camera by a stream or other outdoor location for several hours? It could be boring to some but they can be extremely popular. Good luck.
Absolutely stunning landscape and marvelous video.. loved every second of it.. beautiful capture of the soul of hiking.. I believe you filmed with two cameras.. what cameras were you using..? Thanks for taking me there..
The view from the Swedish and Norwegian borders is spectacular. I hope that North Korea will become a peaceful Korean peninsula that exchanges and communicates with each other as soon as possible, beyond the 38th parallel with the South where I live. So, I hope to enjoy the freedom of nature here and there on the Korean Peninsula. Thanks Erik... I'm Daniel Moon.
Hej Erik!
Erik
Oh to be young again. My health began to fail big time when I turned 70. Now I can at least join you vicariously on your marvelous treks through God's country.
@Liquid bend Not sad at all. It's just the path of our lives. Its all unpredictable, and we try to control it, which is what makes it fun

Erik, yours is by far my absolute favorite outdoor/hiking/backpacking channel on youtube. Thank you for the amazing content. Happy Holidays.
Thanks John! I like that it is easy to find solitude and "adventures" around here.
Amazing, amazing, amazing. This is it... Amazing.
This has got to be the best inspirational musical sound track ever, loved every bit of this combined with the scenery is breath taking.
These landscapes are like living paintings, it seems to me! :)
What an amazing, beautiful, and rugged region. Thank you Eric for another wonderful adventure.
A real backpacking trip in all weather. There is beauty in those foggy, damp, desolate scenes.

Thank you very much Tom :)
Thank you for the time and effort you put into making these videos. Kallfjället - my favorite place to go hiking.
I've been watching your videos all day.

You are a genius!
Du filmar väldigt fint den svenska naturen. Tack för att du delar med dig!
A truly fantastic adventure and video. So beautiful! Thank you for sharing it with us!
I absolutely loved every second of this video. It was totally my pace, and you seem like the kind of person I aspire to be. Thank you!
Your films are some of the best I’ve seen. Superb editing. Stunning scenery and very little talking. Excellent.
Thanks Steve! Atb
A few more km north east Erik and you will get to one of my old stomping areas in Bodo. Back in the seventies when I was in the Air Force. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and those willing to put themselves out there, as you do.
Your country has some of the most beautiful scenery and you capture it well.
Beautiful film, thank you so much for this. Brightened my day at work!
Wow. I admire your passion for what you do. We all can see it on yoir selfcontrol when in hard weather. I can feel the cold from here! 😱👆💪👏
Thanks Katherine! I'm glad the passion comes through in the video
What about Erik, beautiful view, the cold is felt, but your mind, to other to think, bravo.👍👍👍👏👏👋
Stunning scenery. Loved the snow cave!
You rock, Erik! With work and kids and other responsibilities, I can't get OUT out anymore. Just short day trips. I envy you, and I thank you for sharing your wonderful nature experiences.

Another great film Erik. Best time of the year to backpack. So much solitude and beauty.
Thanks Jake. Very true, I like the end of summer and autumn for outdoors.
thank you, i learned one skill from you - shake the rain off the tent before packing up!!! Its really very valuable to me.
Dank je! Glad to hear no music, just nature and your narrative.
I like especially the natural feeling of these videos.
Thank you! Greetings from Romania!
I can’t pick a favorite of your travels, but this one is fantastic . Thanks for producing these vlogs
Your videos are absolutely awesome and cinematographic. Thank you Erik.
Erik, its a good movie. Surely, required a great effort to create it in wet and cold weather.
Its magnificent view, yet eerie. And I miss your wooden coffee cup 😊
Thanks Elly. I also prefer the wooden cup, but when I walk far like this I try to keep weight down as much as possible. Erik
Hey bro. I love your videos. I wish they were longer. I love seeing that part of the world. You rock
This is top tier youtube. Best of luck to you!
I find your video pretty soothing. Thanks for this. 😊
In that Baritone voice! Good Morning to you too Erik.
Fantastic video. Loved the little yellow flower in the snow near the end. Beautiful. Should have pitched your tent on the border. Your head in Sweden and your feet in Norway :)
Take care. Craig
Thanks Craig. The flowers have a hard time up there, but I guess they are tough. Erik
I'm planning to go to Kungsleden, Sweden on October this year.

Thanks Wesley. I love working with sounds, it adds very much to a video indeed. Maybe I'll do something like that, it's a good idea. Atb

Beautiful.
Anyone else see the Warrior on the mountainside 3:51?
Lovely videos. Speaking for myself, I can't move my arms or my legs without my morning coffee- just crawl around like a snake...
