I love this whisky. Leave it in the glass for a bit and this subtle minerality develops. It's very underrated and not much talked about. All the better for me!
I just got my bottle of Aultmore, you described it perfectly. Seems to start off soft and quiet in the beginning and then you get the flavors appearing mid pallette with a nice long finish, but like you said, they are not overpowering and seem to flow into each other with a nice balance. Thanks for bringing to my attention 🥃
Found this for $38 USD at my local grocery store. Absolutely fantastic at that price. Loved it at the neck pour and know that it’s only gonna get better!
Still amazes me how you're not over 100k subs. Again, you have such great no-BS reviews and I've come to trust your taste over anyone else's so far. Definitely putting this one on my list of bottles to look out for. Keep it up Erik!
I appreciate the comments. Most people are interested in the more entertainment oriented channels and not the more educational channels. They’re looking for tips on what to buy not information about the history of whisky. If I acted like a moronic goofball I’d probably get more subscribers. But that’s not what this channel is about.
@@ErikWaitWhiskyStudies I just subscribed. I like your style of reviewing. Straight to the point with history and lots of information about the bottle. I also enjoyed your distillery tours. I have been eyeing this bottle for almost a year and finally decided to get this from duty free. It looks beautiful and I can’t wait to open it.
Kapow???? What do you want ? 46, decent bourbon casks. One of my favorite 18 year olds, which is a great "desert island" type of dram. Kinda perfect if I had to pick one for the rest of my life.
The idea that the bad guys would counterfeit Aultmore 12 is fairly comical but what do I know? I am sure the tape thing has nothing at all to do with marketing. But I do like this whisky, especially the 18.
On my second trip to Scotland, when I checked into my hotel in Edinburgh, I turned on the television and there was a news story about the pervasiveness of counterfeit Scotch whisky.
This has been replaced by a 10 with nearly identical packaging. Don't know if this is temporary for a few years because of a gap in casks of the right age ? Don't think the distillery is disclosing any information about this so guess we will find out in the future ?

That is a gre\at price!
I agree. I really enjoyed this bottle. Definitely overlooked and underrated. Cheers!
Totally agree!
Excellent description. 100% agree. I love this whisky as it is. It is surely a rare find. I hope not many people notice how good it is. Secret malt.
Thanks for watching!
Great review Erik! A delicious, underrated, well made whisky is why we love the Foggie Moss!
Couldn't agree more!
The 70cl is bottled for the last time in 2021, its hard to find now in the Netherlands, I don’t hope it is discontinued
Good review.
"Silky" texture that is the right describing.
Will get 1 or 2 this weekly sale. Thank you.
Hope you enjoy it!
A favourite dram for me, when I can get my hands on it. It's a really good summer dram

You should!

I love this whiskey
I tried one aultmore whisky in Scotland that it had chocolate taste in it for sure, do you guys have any idea what I should search?
Google it.
Where can I find some of this? our Ontario Liquor stores do not carry it anymore?
Google it and when you find a seller who can ship it to you buy it.
@@ErikWaitWhiskyStudies I realized this after I typed my question. Thank you for your patient reply.
In South Africa it is extremely expensive, resulting in many other 12 year old's offering much greater value for money.

It is indeed a very good whisky.
absofreakinglutely!
Can I recommend researching correct pronunciation of ‘Gaelic’ in Scot’s. Unfortunately, it is a common mistake amongst North American UA-camrs
Can I recommend researching correct pronunciation of "Erik." Scotts mispronounce my name ALL the time.
